The level of car at DeVries is absolutely top notch. Their vets are caring and compassionate, the facility is very clean and professional, they have expert knowledge, and they are very conveniently located to anyone in Elmhurst or Villa Park. The owner is very active in the community, which is awesome. However, their cost is greatly prohibitive for me. I have found their pricing to be 30-50% more than other vets in the area. The Elmhurst Animal Care Center can’t hold a candle to the competencies of DeVries. Alas, my pet care budget is unfortunately more in line with their pricing. I wish I could better afford DeVries because they represent the top class of the industry and small business practitioners. I highly recommend if your budget allows.

We were visiting Elmhurst from out of town with our new puppy. We were in a tight spot and needed to get her some additional shots so that she could be boarded for a few days. Dr. DeVries was terrific and kind and took a tremendous amount of time with me walking through our puppy's health, even though Dr. DeVries knew we wouldn't be a regular patient. His care and kindness were remarkable. I wish we lived in Elmhurst so he could be our regular Dr.!

I just changed vets and am so happy. This staff is so caring and loves animals. They make your pet feel loved. My little kitty has a heart defect and they had a specialist review him. Their guidance will help him stay with me for a long time. Great place.

Caring, kind and very professional staff.

They were very professional, kind, and answered all of our questions. They were flexible with scheduling as we weren't able to get papers we needed before the appointment we made. It seems that they also wave or discount first checkup fees for pets adopted from a shelter, which is very kind of them.

We absolutely love Dr Devries! He has been so helpful with our goldendoodle, Charlie. Charlie LOVES seeing him and never dreads the vet. Whenever we go, Dr Devries takes the time to ask about Charlie and my wife and I. He remembers what we do for a living and takes that extra step to find out how our lives are. We don't feel like another patient when we go, we feel like friends catching up. He always takes great care of Charlie and we feel 100% comfortable that he is in great hands each and every time.

Dr. DeVries and his staff have taken great care of our fur babies and even diagnosed our puggle with hypothyroidism which has been over due!!! Glad to have a great vet staff taking care of our fur children!!!

I would highly recommend the DeVries animal hospital to anyone who is looking for a high quality vet. Dr DeVries cares tremendously for both people and animals. Every time I see him he remembers everything about me (and my pets). He also doesn't pressure any choices but gives me all the relevant information I need and let's me choose the path to take. He is knowledgeable, kind, and professional and I would gladly recommend him to anyone who is in need of his services.

Very friendly doctor who was easy to talk to and came off as knowledgeable. Kept my hyper dogge calm and controlled. Didn't bankrupt me for the visit and eyedrops.

Our dog was very sick and our regular Vet was closed so DeVries took us in same day as a new patient, which was much appreciated. As it turned out, our dog had to be put down and Dr Daly was the kindest, most caring Doctor. Made the experience a little easier to handle. Too bad we won't be going back, we'll be staying pet-free. Otherwise I would highly recommend them.

I have been with Dr De Vries since he started his practice. Can't say enough good things. I trust him and his staff implicitly with the care of my dog.

Awful, AWFUL customer service and worse veterinary practice. I was told my dogs blood work would be available first thing Monday morning (draw taken on Saturday) and I would be contacted IMMEDIATELY because of the urgency of my dogs condition. I was never called, so I called for the results around 10:30am, I was told the results were on the doctors desk and she would contact me ASAP. Well, I had to call back 3 times after that and STILL, never got a call back. I had to actually go in to the office on my way home from work and walked in the door at 5:45pm where I luckily saw the doctor that originally saw us at the desk, and was told "I was just about to call you!" Of course you were, now that I'm standing in your f***ing lobby..... The only reason I even came here in the first place was because of the high reviews, and I would definitely question those if you are looking for a vet. The "doctor" I saw told me on two separate visits to go to VCA because they did not have the ability to help treat my dog. In my experience, this place is an overpriced, glorified nail salon, if you have any serious issues, be prepared to get charged $100 for an office visit just to be told to go someplace else. This place is a disgrace.

Excellent, professional, thoughtful care. We've been using DeVries Animal Hospital for about 10 years. We switched to DeVries after a less than ideal experience at another (marginally less expensive) local Vet. DeVries has provided the highest quality care for our two dogs. The front office staff are helpful, and the Vets are extremely knowledgeable.

My husband and I have had a positive experience every time we go to DeVries Animal Hospital in Elmhurst. From the first day we brought our puppy home, DeVries has been patient and helpful with all of our puppy parenting questions and needs. Even if I just have a concern (like the time my dog accidentally ate paint) I don't hesitate to call because I know one of the doctors will get back to me with a timely and knowledgeable response. Dr. Lannon has been especially helpful, and always has time to chat about our pets and answer any questions we have. I would recommend this place to any pet parent!

Last year, RJ our 6 year old Pom, had a large abscess develop on his upper lip, because he had either chewed wood with slivers; or may have been stung by a bee? We brought him in to see the doctors. They performed minor surgery to resolve this problem. Well, because of how they did this surgery , from the inside of his mouth, you would never guess he had this problem. These doctors are very knowledgeable and very good. RJ typically tries to run away from vets, but he actually likes this place. Dr Kathleen Meyers is one of the nicest doctors you will ever see, and RJ loves her. I would highly recommend going here.

I would definitely recommend this place! I have been taking my 2 cats here for about 4 years now. They are helpful and don't rush you out. They answer your questions, and are knowledgeable in vet care. I have seen a few vets here, they are all good!
