Delt I got Taken advantage of. Over 1600 in vet bills for a one night stay and my dog was okay. go to Glen carbon animal hospital/emergency center. I can’t remember what it’s called bud my other dog had the same symptoms, upset stomach, diarrhea. Bill was closer to 600.

Dr Tracy Reis took good care of our beagle overnight and today who had pneumonia. She was very responsive and patient with our questions and seemed to genuinely care about our dog. I recommend her!

It wasn’t too high in cost for an emergency clinic. It’s been the worst night in quite a while for us and a week hasn’t even passed yet. We miss our baby very much. I hear commercials on the tv and think, she was still well and enjoying life the last time I heard that play. We think about her for every little thing. She was a 13 year old chocolate lab and we enjoyed so much life together. Lots and lots of swimming and hiking. We knew her time was coming and because of her age and condition we were going to have to let her go soon. A young lady veterinarian (wonderful bedside manner and doctor) and a male vet tech with long hair were our help for the night and they did such a good job with our good girl. We were able to be with her and hold her and pet her during the process as long as we used our masks. I feel good about everything that went on. We miss you sweetie…I hope your up there playing with your old brother Waylon. Running and jumping like you did when you were young!

My dog had accidentally gotten into a cereal bag, he was literally on the verge of death. I came in there in a panic with a limp dog in my arms and tears in my eyes. To be noted I’m 65 255 pounds and totally freaking out, they took me straight to the back put my dog down and got oxygen on him immediately. This was the only solution to save his life and they did it even though they had other things going on and I shouldn’t have been there. I passed him over she said I got to get out I said yes ma’am. It looked very bad, they did everything necessary to bring my little boy home, my heart, my spirit animal and the only baby I’ll ever have. I can’t begin to tell you how much they let me call whenever I needed, they understood that I wasn’t going to sleep until I saw him again and they did everything they could to keep me in the loop. Truly if your animal has any issues and it’s after hours or the weekend. Do not hesitate! Take them to Collinsville emergency center immediately, I promise you it is the best customer service you’re going to get in the industry. And God bless all the people working there because they work long hours and are slammed and still find a way to give excellent service tonight on your dog but to you! I can’t stress how much I strongly recommend this location! God bless anyone that needs this service and God bless everyone is that works there!

Nobody really wants to experience a pet emergency but sometimes accidents do happen and the doctors and nurses here saved my dog, Harley's life when he ate half a tray of cookies with raisins in them on Thanksgiving. I will admit, if I had followed their advice in the beginning I could have saved myself a lot of turmoil and stress. Never the less, when I did arrive when he was showing signs of kidney damage, they took him straight away and started the IV fluids and made him throw up 52 raisins. I was shocked that he ate that many raisins and I did not get a lot of sleep that whole weekend. He is recovering at home now and has the worst behind him and a good follow up result at his own vet office. And it is truly all due to the staff and doctors at this emergency clinic. I paid a pretty penny, but now I am doing what I should have done when he was a puppy, and getting pet insurance. This dog is like my own child and I am so glad that they take time away from their own families to help the pets in need.

I would recommend Hawthorne Animal Hospital to everyone!!! My dog got sick very quickly and they took her right in when my vet was closed after hours. Unfortunately they couldn't save her, but they were so compassionate. They even sent me a sympathy card in the mail. We need more places like this in the world. Thank you Hawthorne

I'm super thankful that these places exist for after-hour emergencies. That being said, this location is still not letting you come inside with your pet, even with a mask. Also, I was told I would get an update on my pet in about 20 minutes and I finally had to call to ask about her after an hour had gone by. Then I was told I was next to be checked out and it took another 30 minutes. Not horribly-priced, especially considering the hours they are accessible.

We brought our fur baby here after she injured her paw. This is the third time we have used this clinic. She's has had 2 emergency surgeries at this facility, and tonight they fixed her paw. The doctor's here are amazing. But Kim, the nurse, who helped get us started has a love for animals like I've never seen. She was amazing! This is the only place I'll take my baby!

Just don't understand why cost is so high. I can understand why people can't afford to take they loved pets to a pet hospital. So very sad. People with fixed incomes really don't need pets. So so sad.

The utmost respect and passion for the care of our dog. We are 7 hours away from home and they took us in to care for our dog. Thank you.

I live in St Louis and decided to come out to this place based on a previous experience. I was told it would cost me 275 to put down my cat and I made the 45 min drive. After my cat was hooked up to the IV and them about to push the needle in they come at me for 371. They jacked up the price a 100 bux I'm upset, cats dying what am I going to do I was forced into paying more and taken advantage of in my time of grief very un professional. my family wont come here any more with these poor bait and switch tactics.

I took my kitty Greyson here last year in September because he was quickly declining in health and I feared the worst with his pre-existing conditions. When I arrived they took him right away, asked questions, and gave me an estimate. They require you to pay some up front, understandably, and negotiated with me to find a price that was doable for me. The check in lady was obviously busy but was very sweet. My kitty stayed two nights and they were familiar with me and my cat by the second time I called to check on him. When I picked him up, I could tell they were busy and it took some time, but in the end I was thankful to have my cat back in my arms. They even went so far as to recommend specific brands of foods that would be good for enticing him to eat. Because I waited a while and was running my car to charge my phone, my car battery died in the middle of the night and the staff was more than happy to use one of their cars and jumper cables to jumpstart my car. I’m so thankful for them for all of these reasons.

Dr.Quinn or however you spell his name shouldn’t work there considering he touches the girl co workers there and they said something about it and nothing has been done he needs to be fired and not able to work there. Highly disappointed.

Sent me home with the wrong medication and I had to hear about it from my regular vet six days after our visit because they didn't bother to call me directly. I'd already given her half of it.

Great place to have when you need it. It is expensive though.... This is a facility that is ready to treat almost any condition. A One stop place for all your emergency pet Healthcare needs.

Worst experience ever. We waited for 4hrs. They wanted to keep my fur baby over night. When we told them, we were put to the side. While the other cars that came us, were waited on cause they were paying for overnight stays. But not us. I will never return to that place again.

Everyone at this clinic was compassionate and kind, and conducted appropriate tests to make sure we knew exactly what we were faced with. Unfortunately my old boy was terminal but his treatment was the best he could have received. I’m sure he felt the loving care.

You get what you pay for when your in an emergency situation right? I mean if you don't have the money to pay the high fees the Emergency Center offers your more often than not giving your pet a death sentence! What do folks do when their check book can't handle the over the top emergency visit?
