Dr. LaFave and her staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and great at taking care of my four legged friend!

I took my fur baby Jassy, here since it opened. Dr LaFave is very kind and listens to everything I had to say. The staff is welcoming and warm. My last visit was a very hard one but Dr and her staff gave me as much time I needed to say goodbye to my sweetest girl until the very end. Up until then, they tried squeezing me in every time I needed to bring my baby girl and I knew that she was treated with kindness each time. That is going to be the last time I will be there but I definitely recommend bringing your fur baby there.

We're so happy to be at Urban PetRx! Everyone here is very knowledgeable and caring. I am a first time dog owner and have called with SEVERAL random questions and they are always kind and helpful. They helped us when our pup had kennel cough, did his neutering, vaccines, and dental health. As well, they have never tried to upsell us or put us on some kind of care plan. They just love animals and want to care for them. They called me during our dog's neutering surgery and said they recommended pulling couple of his baby teeth. They said that some dogs lose them but our guy's was still in and for the sake of his dental health later in life, they should come out now. Dr. LaFave said she felt it was so important for the sake of his health that she would even take them out for free, as long as I approved. I found this VERY impressive and shows a genuine care for her patients over monetary gain. I highly recommend Urban PetRx.

Best vet in all of Chicago. They listen when we are worried about something and don’t talk down to you for being concerned about it - not even if there is no reason to be.

Dr. LaFave is the best! Would follow her anywhere! Our dog has been cared for by her for 9 years so far. She is kind, compassionate and clearly loves animals.

The staff are knowledgeable and empathetic to pets and their owners needs. They're friendly, patient and very professional. The clinic itself is clean and modern as well.

Had to bring our 6 year old pup Coal due to a sore spot on his back paw. Dr. LaFave was great in explaining the problem and gave some meds and ointment to heal the hot spot. Communication was excellent as was the service both by Dr. LaFave and by her staff. Highly recommend!

The staff and Dr. LaFave have been so wonderful!! They’re welcoming of bully breeds, very compassionate and Dr. LaFave is always willing to take the time to answer my questions. I never feel rushed and any additional questions I may have later on always get answered in a timely manner. I love the integrative approach to medicine to give my fur baby the best care possible. You can tell they really care about their patients and owners!

The staff was absolutely wonderful and kind and charming and sweet to my baby boy King Kong. It was my puppy's first time at the doctor's and they made him and us feel so comfortable and relaxed. We were so nervous and they were so nice to him because he looks mean but he is just a baby and they understand that right away and they made him feel comfortable and relaxed which is what you want, especially when you are searching for that one veterinary that will give you the reassurance that you are looking for in them and their staff. Definitely worth 5 Star they treated my 85.5 puppy with tender loving hands. I adore this place and I definitely recommend you put your trust in them. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

I took my 4 cats in to only find out they had ear mites. Dr. June and her staff were awesome. Very knowledgable and were able to treat all my cats. I also have a cat with FIV, which is under Dr. June's care and has been doing great. I highly reccomend this place. I am so glad to have a vet in the Bridgeport neighborhood whom I can trust with my pets(family). After all, would you just trust anyone with your kids? I trust Urban PetRx.

I always feel like my pets are getting the best care at Urban Pet! The vet and her staff are so knowledgeable and caring, I'm so glad this place opened up in Bridgeport. Everyone should bring their pets there!

The veterinarian and staff here are superb. They truly care about the pets and neighborhood. I bring both of my dogs here and they are always compassionate and attentive. I highly encourage anyone to call ahead and book an appointment if you are looking for pet care. They also have a very informative website.

Shameful practice, would rather sentence a beautiful sweet innocent 1yr old cat to death over a simple “operation” instead of working with the owners on some form of payment plan during a worldwide pandemic , Strongly urge you to review the Hippocratic Oath you took in school, pretty sure it doesn’t start off with “As long as they’re paying in full upfront” . Complete embarrassment to the Vet who used to reside down the street from them, you know, the one who was in business for over 30 years while...accepting payment plans. It’s amazing to see how cold and heartless someone who entered a profession to “help” can be. Hopefully soon they’re gone and a vet with morals and compassion returns.

My husband and I have called Urban PetRx a number of times in the past couple months hoping to schedule an appiintment for our 2 dogs. This place never seems to answer their phone or return messages. My husband even walked in one day as to schedule in person. He says they were open but the person at the desk was completely clueless and couldnt schedule an appointment for him and told my husband to call to make an appointment. As I initially stated, no one ever answers the phone when we call so we gave up after several attempts. Its extremely disappointing because we live close by and were hoping to have a neighborhood vet within walking distance. I personally don't recommend a place like this where scheduling is such a near impossible task.

Prices are outrageous who in this right mind would pay 400 dollars to have their cat fixed. Does not belong in this neighborhood. And will not benefit any animal, only their pockets.

Wow. Dr. June is just phenomenal. She sat down with us and talked through all of our concerns with our cat. We have behavioral issues and weight issues, and she walked through all of the potential causes and treatments. It didn’t feel rushed or like we were just another appointment. She genuinely wants to get to the root of the issues. I feel like she is very upfront with her professional opinion (for example, not prescribing meds just to make extra money). Our experience at Urban Pet has been far and away better than other vet offices in Chicago, especially given all of the regulations and struggles with COVID-19. We are so glad to have found Urban Pet.

I’m so thankful to finally have such a wonderful vet in Bridgeport! I have been taking my cats to Wheaton for vet care because I haven’t liked any vets we’ve seen in Chicago but we are now switching over. I took my boy in for a visit about a week after the office opened and the Dr was so kind, caring and thorough despite having to basically do the entire visit with me over the phone due to covid-19. The cost of the visit was comparable or less than what I’ve paid at other vets in Chicago. I highly recommend!

What a great experience! I brought my cat in for a cough, they were very transparent about the cost of each service before proceeding with anything. I really appreciated the breakdown in pricing, and the no-pressure attitude, as well as the kind guidance on what would be most effective in diagnosing my cat's condition. Service was prompt, everyone was super nice, the office is very clean, and Django is a happy kitty :) Thanks Dr. LaFave!
