Tucker Pup’s is an amazing place not only for grooming, but also for training. The process is seamless from booking to picking up your dog all clean and beautifully groomed. Ames is our favorite groomer there. I don't trust my pup with any other grooming place. I really recommend it.

The private training sessions were extremely productive and useful. I am thrilled with the results and highly recommend this service.

Great place to board your dog! Very friendly staff

Not as perfect as you think. Tucker Pups takes care of your dogs but treats their staff like dogs as well. From patronizing pep talks too stern comments and emails addressing problems staff can not control. Yes Tucker Pups is a pet paradise, but with no HR department to report an issue too, management controls the situations to make staff members feel guilty and in the wrong of something they can not control. It’s sad really, you’d think the staff would be taken care of but in reality they’re pushed around and belittled.

Boarding: Was very supportive and communicative of any abnormal behaviors or eating habits. Helped talk through ways to approach and offered multiple solutions to figure out what would work best for my pet. Grooming: Very professional and friendly, possibly the best cut hes had in Chicago - and I was very vague over what I wanted. Greatly appreciate the groomer coming out to check that I was satisfied at pickup and to discuss overall behavior and what was completed. Training: SUPER friendly and loving team that. I used Stay and Train to give my pet extra attention while I had to leave him for the holidays for the first time. I noticed immediately when I took him home that all in all he was a more behaved loose leash walker with less interruption of my steps and constantly checking me for eye contact. I appreciated the follow up appointment with the team to review the skills taught so I might continue with the good habits (especially the greeting!). Thanks all!

My dog (Peri) and I did private training through Tucker Pups. Peri has gone to training a couple of times at other places, but this was the first time I’ve been trained to work with her and keep her on track in the long term. Jessie is such an excellent trainer. It was so invaluable to have her come to our house and neighborhood so we could work in surroundings Peri is familiar with. Jessie was also so respectful with taking COVID precautions, and was so flexible. She was a joy to work with and while I’m thrilled that Peri has made so much progress, we’ll both miss Jessie!

These guys are trustworthy if you need to leave your pets in town.

We have done multiple services with Tucker Pups, both Puppy Socials, and trainings and they have been great experiences. The trainers were all very professional and focused giving us an amazing base to start with our new family member! We look forward to many more experiences and services from Tucker Pup's.

Being a Chicago resident the traffic is crazy but all in all it was okay.

Tucker Pups Intermediate training course helped Lemon become a more well rounded puppy! Lemon is a now a much better loose leash walker (extremely helpful living in the city). Lemon also interacts with other dogs and humans much more calmly! I highly recommend this course to anyone who is looking to help their dog master the fundamentals of being a good dog!

We worked with Angela Love and she was wonderful to work with. We sought out her help when it came to walking Jerry. Angela provided us with specific, actionable tips and practice tools that we could easily apply on our own walks with Jerry. She was also able to point out to us that Jerry seemed to have some issues with environmental stimulation, notably when hearing the sound of trains, cars, etc. I wouldn't think this was part of the "standard" curriculum but I appreciated her extra effort so that we can be proactive about desensitizing Jerry to these environmental stimulants. We can't recommend her highly enough.

If I could give beyond five stars, I would. Bear has a history of allergies and developed a hot spot within hours of arriving at Tucker Pups. The Tucker Pups staff was so communicative on what was occurring, and consultative. Although I was out of town, they made an appointment with our Vet and got Bear treated. Rather than cancel my trip or stress the entire time, I completely trusted the Tucker Pup staff with all of their reassuring communication and caring service. They provided Bear with a happy hoodie so he could not scratch the affected area, and gave me a harness to walk him home in. They did not charge me for the days Bear required solo play, for taking him to the vet, for the happy hoodie or for the harness. They really made a stressful situation as smooth as possible and Bear came home a happy and healing boy. I could not be more impressed!

We were very happy with the puppy manners session. The Trainer, Jessie was patient, knowledgable, and encouraging throughout the course while providing personal guidance and assistance to each pup. The facility is kept clean and feels safe, and the staff is professional and so excited to interact with all of the pups.

I love this place. It’s 45 min away from my house, but I will always drive out of the way so my dog can come here. They are all fantastic.

Jeff is the best groomer out there! He knows how to handle our squirmy puggle to get his nails trimmed, and always gives us a great report. High recommend!

I would definitely recommend the Puppy Manners course to anyone! The trainers, Cailin and Jess, were great, and the videos on TrainTrack were very helpful.

Worked with Kathleen W. for personal training for our dog Oscar and couldn't be happier with the training and results! Kathleen is extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! Every session was hands on and we learned so many new skills and tricks to help us course correct Oscar's behavior. Highly recommend!!!

Madi has been grooming Teddy for almost a year now. She is the ONLY one that we would trust with little Teddy and he adores her so much! I took my 6 month old puppy to Puppy Manners Training and I was very happy with this course. Our trainer, Jordan, was so sweet and very knowledgable! Aside from the great training for my puppy, I felt I learned a lot as an owner. This course helped my puppy’s obedience and taught me how to strengthen them in other settings. If you’re wondering if it’s worth it?…IT IS!

We had Anegla Love as our trainer who was great. She was super knowledgeable and provided great advice & more ways to train your dog - if what we were doing wasn't working for your pup. She was patient and really helpful with the dogs. She was also flexible and wanted to hear what you & your pup might need some extra help with. The training class was great and it taught me a lot of news ways to get my dog to listen to me, that I did not know. It is a great class for puppies to learn those basic manners in a fun way and get them on the right track to being the best dogs they can be!

We started our pup in puppy manners class just under a year ago and recently enrolled him in “Prep school” for additional training. Claire is an excellent trainer and the daily updates she provided were very helpful. When I let her know of specific concerns she was very responsive in working on those issues. She also helped manage expectations about the fact that training a young (strong) dog is an ongoing activity. My only concern is that Daycare is full and my pup won’t be able to keep coming to a place he now knows and loves to burn off his big puppy energy. Looking forward to the opening of the new facility and hoping it will be on schedule for a year from now.

Margaret was fantastic! She worked a small miracle with my reactive puppy. She also gave me some great tools to help him myself as we continue his training. Thank you so much for your help!

I adopted a heartworm positive, anxious, energetic dog in March and started working with Margaret almost right away. It was so helpful to have Margaret by my side as emotional support when Izzy was having hard days, and I always look forward to our training sessions. If she weren’t so busy I’d work with her every day! Margaret is always on time and professional, but she keeps our training fun and both Izzy and I love working with her. She’s been especially helpful in helping me understand Izzys stress cues and learn to manage and react to those, specifically around other dogs. She helped us get through Izzys crate rest period by teaching me how to do shaping, giving me ideas for fun, stationary tricks, and keeping me sane! I’m looking forward to continuing to work with Margaret and we’ll be doing adult manners classes soon!

Diana and Geoffrey love their “weekend getaways” at Tucker Pup’s! When we drop off our pups, they make a beeline for the handlers, excited for their day/weekend of playing, treats, and fun. Thank you for taking such great care of our babies!

Ames always does an amazing job grooming my papillon, Otto! He has a lot of anxiety, but is always excited to see Ames. And he always comes home looking handsome and fresh! I moved to the suburbs several years ago, but I continue to come to Tucker Pup’s because they have the best people working there. I wouldn’t trust anybody else!

We took our pup, Luna, to Tucker’s for introductory prep school. Susi was our trainer and, not only did we we enjoy leaning with her, but she also clearly loved our pup. It was reassuring to be able to hear about all Luna’s progress via email after each training day and to be able to learn her tricks alongside Susi and Luna at the end of each week. We would absolutely recommend Tucker’s pups for training!
