For one I went in person to try and get more information on how to adopt a cat (I got no info) And the lady that opened the door looked confused as to what I was asking, all I got was you have to do applications online. I know i wasn’t going to be able to see the cats that very day but like really we can’t do applications in person? I applied online and it’s still pending I don’t think it even has been reviewed yet ????

Absolutely wonderful experience finding a cat with Harmony House! The staff was so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. They really seem to take great care of the cats; the cats all seemed happy and ready for their forever homes. The staff helps you select a cat that best fits your lifestyle. They know each cat’s individual personality very well and gave us a great selection to choose from. They helped match my fiancé and I with the sweetest cat that fits right into our home. We have a dog and before we took our cat home, Harmony House tested him with a volunteer’s dog to make sure he was comfortable with dogs. I really appreciate the hard work this staff does to give us the best experience possible! Would definitely recommend Harmony House for Cats when looking for your next best furry friend!

Wow, some of the 1 star reviews on here are for extremely dumb reasons. Not answering the phone?? This is a pandemic, people. 5 stars for saving animals!

I would recommend Harmony House to anyone looking to adopt a cat, especially first time cat owners. They are so knowledgeable and their adoption process makes it very easy to find the perfect cat! They answered all of my questions thoroughly and everyone was so helpful and kind during our visit!

LOVE!!! Made a life altering spontaneous visit to this wonderful shelter and now my girlfriend and I have two gorgeous little kittens. The cats at Harmony are as happy as they could ever be in someone's home, a credit to the staff and the great facility. Hours are limited, but it's absolutely worth making your own life altering spontaneous visit to Harmony this weekend!!!

A great place for cat adoption, no-kill shelter, with lots of large rooms filled with cats and kittens. New building built in 2012. Could use some organization, but the dedicated staff know the cats and can give a personality profile on each.

We adopted this handsome boy from Harmony House. He's very comfortable around people & our other cat. I believe it's because they had him in a room with other cats instead of a cage. I also saw a few people stop in to visit the cats while we were there, giving him exposure to several people. I would adopt from there again but two is our limit due to our small place. Update: Our first cat & Paws Gasol are getting along great. HH has great advise on their website & in person about how to introduce a new cat to home.

I went twice, both time they acted as if they didn’t want any of their cats to be adopted. Almost all of them either couldn’t live with other cats, had medical issues they weren’t being treated for and can’t be adopted til treated, or required 2 visits and then every cat you wanted to give the best home possible too would be sick. This place is horribly managed and just wants all the cats they can have apparently.

Half the cats were infested with ring worm, place was filthy/unclean.Noticed empty beer bottles lying around.

I love to support cageless cat shelters in the community. It really lets cats show their unique personalities when they are comfortable in an environment and not scared in a cage. You can tell the cats are treated well and are happy to roam about and play in their rooms! It's also really beneficial for potential adopters to see how their future fur family might behave in a home setting :) My only con is the open hours for adoptions. It is really prohibitive in matching potential owners with cats because the hours are so few (only 4 hours on 4 days?) and at challenging times like 1-5 on a weekday when most people are working and unable to make it to a shelter until after work; and on the weekends the hours are too short considering that is the main time people have free time to get a whole family to a shelter to adopt, let alone run errands and fit in social activities. I really would love this shelter to consider more and different opening hours to increase their annual adoption rate!

I've always adopted AND recommended HHFC to anyone looking to adopt a cat. For a shelter they provide a safe loving environment until the cats get their " forever homes".

Harmony is a cageless, no-kill shelter where it cares for the cats in a loving and clean environment to keep them safe from general harm.
