Haven’t been here but sad to see that pit bulls as well as pit bull mixes are not allowed. We live a block away and would’ve been consistent customers and yet they lose one because of a breed. Our dog is the sweetest and we even have two cats he is gentle with and he is four months! What a shame they do this and not realize it’s more the owners than the dog. We will be putting our money into a business that does. Their loss.

Very pleased with how caring everyone is and how well my dog is doing away from home. Easy checking in/out and boarding. Definitely would recommend.

I took my 18 month old border collie there hoping to board him for a weekend. He went 2 days for a few hours and then did a trial spending the night. They said he was too active and that it was not a good fit. Do they only take dogs that are very mello? You would think they would want active dogs to get their energy out. I should have listened to the reviews. I would not recommend this place. Additionally, my dog was diagnosed with canine influenza that he got from there

Took our dog here for daycare and staff told us he was aggressive. He has been is daycare and boarding for 4 years and we have never seen any signs of aggression. Quite the opposite..he is the calmest, sweetest dog. Not sure what is going on at this place, but it’s very suspect. I am just grateful we figured it out early though. I wish I would have paid more attention to the negative reviews before we tried this place.

Will your dog be safe in their care? Probably. Will your interactions with the CRI staff leave you wondering how a business that treats its customers like avoidable nuisances can stay in business? Quite likely. We’ve brought our 2 dogs there exclusively for almost 10 years. Over that time we looked past the generally off-putting disposition of management, chalking it up to the notion that one needn’t be a people person to be a dog person and, at the time, CRI was a fairly unique service that we were willing to pay a premium for. After an accumulation of bad experiences we transitioned to another service with newer facilities, indoor/outdoor play spaces and daily video report cards that showed our dogs generally having a great time. As a bonus the other service’s staff didn’t appear to regard customers and customer interactions with open disdain. After a year without using CRI we decided to give them another look as a backup option. Disappointingly true to form, every interaction with the staff at CRI was as bad or worse than what we remembered- they simply still don’t have a grasp of basic service principles. Thankfully CRI’s once unique service is common in the western suburbs, prices for premium boarding have come down, and CRIs competitors are welcoming new clients rather than showing disregard for loyal ones.

Called the staff multiple times before bringing my dog it for the first time. No one mentioned the need to vet records. I happened to bring a copy of rabies, but not the other vaccinations. Not a great experience! I did not have time to run home and bring my dog back. You would think if it is a requirement, they could have mentioned it one one of the calls....? Do better Camp!!

Love Camp Ruff It! They take great care of our furry family member! I love the overnight boarding and so does my pup, it's his own vacation when we go on vacation and he enjoys every minute. Our baby got sick once while we were on vacation, and they took him to our vet and cared so well for him. I wouldn't anyone else to take care of him.

Great place! We hadn't put our 13 lb dog in kennels for years, but upcoming travel and the usual family that watches him weren't going to be available so we checked it out after many friends recommended them. Camp Ruff It screens all the dogs to make sure they are compatible with their format (open play, not in cages, but with room to get away on their own if they want it for rest or food.) We really liked this aspect. It's one screening "interview" (that you get a report card and nice write-up on) and then a 1/2 or full day with them before you can leave them overnight. Our dog is a "people dog", but can be more protective when other dogs are around. We know he's better when we're not there to "protect his people", and it was fun watching him play with the other dogs on the monitor. It's not inexpensive, but the staff interaction, the screening for dogs that don't do well in this setting, and the room to play make it totally worth the price for our dog.

Camp Ruff It is a doggie daycare and boarding facility in Carol Stream. PROS: clean! They essentially use a zamboni type cleaning device at all times around their epoxied floors, cleaning up messes so they don’t w s up all over your pup’s feet! CONS: hours and sometimes staff is anything but friendly.

My dog always drags me inside when she figures out where she is. This no-cage boarding facility is hands-down the best place we have tried. Our dog had never come home sick, the facility is clean and will run, and the staff are super friendly. There are cheaper options in the area but my dog hates all of them. This is a place that is worth every penny because of their high quality care and high level of professionalism.

I take our dog here about weekly and the employees recognize him by name! The dogs can continually play or take a break if they need it. My dog comes home happy and tired out. He gets excited when we pull up so I know he is having a good time there. I've never boarded but they don't crate overnight unless you want it. I love that. They have separate play areas for different energy levels and size. Such a great place.

Disappointing that this location does not accept Pitbulls. I stopped here yesterday to find out more information and I was immediately turned away. So unfortunate that places still have restrictions against this breed. My 6 month old Pitbull/boxer mix is much less harmless and aggressive than a chihuahua... unfortunate that this is 1 minute away from my home and for this reason I have to drive elsewhere. But then again would not want to leave my sweet pup around these people. Definitely would not recommend! If I could leave no stars I would!

I cannot say enough good things about Camp Ruff It. We have been bringing our dog Cinnamon here for over a year and she absolutely adores the staff. She is not a dog that warms up to people easily, but from day two she really couldn't wait to get in the door. And their prices are very reasonable. Our 10 year old grandson recently passed away, and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, keeping Cinnamon way past the usual pickup time so we wouldn't have to worry about her during the wake, and keeping her all the next day for his funeral. I cannot say enough about the wonderful people there and would never consider taking her anywhere else.

Our dog loves it here. The only thing that would make it better is if they had a web cam so we could see our pup while on vacation
