Dr. John and Mikey are the absolute best. Everyone in the office is wonderful. They all truly care about your pets. Dr. John has a great bedside manner. They explain everything and are very compassionate. We are so happy that they were there to care for our loving dog. Thank you all so much.

Vet vaccinated my puppy that she was treating for an eye infection. The very next morning, my 8 week old baby Nala was having breathing difficulties. Rushed her to Premier Hospital in Orland Park, ironically, Homstead has all their marketing material in their waiting room, Nala stayed overnight with some improvement. Next day, we were called at 3am saying Nala took a turn for the worse. Then we came in at 830am to say goodbye. Not a standard practice to vaccinate an ill puppy that is currently being treated for an infection. Also, they don't give you the vaccination record to take and no side effects of the vaccinations were discussed before. The day of the visit for the watery eyes, Vet never did a temp or listened to my Puppy lungs and the watery eyes were probably the start of a respiratory illness. The Vet knew all that and still said ok to vaccinate. I do not recommend this facility at all.

Our dog was involved in such a tragic accident this past weekend. And without hesitation, the Dr. took us in after rushing in so abruptly, frantic and scared... Chiquita was our baby ????- Thank You~ Dr Treat and Team ❤

Very professional and helpful. Took care of my puppy as their own dog making sure he is comfortable and well. Would definitely recommend. The vet made sure I fully understood what was happening with my dog and made me feel at easy.

The staff was very helpful as they happily scanned a lost dog for a chip.

1st time coming with Daisy and Princess. The staff was great, was greeted as soon as we walked in. Walked thru every step and explained in detail every question. My pups were happy campers.

Dr John takes time to listen. He and his staff are polite competent and professional. He is personable and compassionate. I drive 2 hours for his expertise. I highly recommend him.

At first I was quite nervous to bring my Dalmatian in for her shots. She has not gone anywhere during the one year "virus lockdown" She is very protective and does have aggressive tendencies because she was never able to finish her obedience classes or to learn socialization when everything shut down. This clinic was so professional, from the veterinarian to his helpers to the rest of the staff. I was so nervous I didn't know what to expect. They had it all under control, everything worked out well. We will definitely be coming back, hopefully with a more behaved dog now that she can go back to her behavior/obedience classes. Dr. John is the best vet I have ever had. His compassion and knowledge of the animals he treats is absolutely above the board.. The rates are fair and care of my animals is above and beyond. They always are very pleasant on the phone and if I ever have any questions or issues, they are available to help me. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

When old vet was there..Charlie got 4 teeth pulled for 400 dollars. This time new vet pulled one for almost 600...and he missed the top tooth right above..now going bad. Guess I will be searching for new vet.

I moved into the area recently and I was looking for a new veterinarian. I am pregnant and I needed my cat to get his yearly check up as soon as possible. The staff was super friendly and got me an appointment really fast. When I arrived everybody was super friendly and the place was so spotlessly clean that even with my pregnancy nose I could not smell anything related to animals. I highly recommend this place for your furry babies. My cat is usually freaked out and terrified when he goes to the vet. But this time he was super calm and wasn't hissing at anybody. I think he could feel the good energy and the love people have for animals there.

I have taken 2 of my fur babies here, some how they just lost my files, and want to charge a ridiculous amount of money to see one of my pets. With covid around, people can't afford these amounts, and they won't take payments or be willing to make arrangements. I just can't believe they lost my pet files, after a few years? Not the same since new vet took over.

I called around looking for a vet to perform my dog’s dental as a few Chicago area locations were charging a ridiculous amount. Not only were the rates affordable, but the team really took the time to care for my Bella. I felt at ease leaving her there alone (can’t go in due to COVID restrictions) knowing she’d be well taken care of. Bella’s collar also got left behind after her procedure, and the staff was kind enough to mail it out since I live so far. 10/10 would recommend taking your fur babies here.

Extremely friendly n kind group here at Holmstead Animal Hospital. I brought my little fur baby in for what I thought was a broken nail, no broken nail but the Doctor found my fur baby was gnawing on her paws in-between her toes n her paws were swollen from allergies the doc. said n gave her a couple meds. Pastina's paws are already looking better n it looks as if she's not chewing at her paws any more so she must be feeling better too.

Just brought my Rottweiler here (has cancer) after calling numerous vets and they were very friendly and quick to act in helping my boy. Arrived here feeling quite down and left feeling much better! Thank you homestead!

They’ve treated my dog since he was a pup until elderly. They don’t price gouge and are a very good local vet. Treatment isn’t high tech but it’s the right treatment and i can appreciate that.

Always available to take care of "Our emergencies" with our furry family members. No, will try to get you in next week like other places

Took my dog in for a wound on her rear end.area. Because of covid i was not able to go in there with her..It was scabing over at the time. They came to my car and got my dog..!5 minutes later he came out and give me a 12 day supply of antibiotics some alcahol pads and a 200 dollar bill. He told me he cleaned out the wound and said it could be a hotspot. When i got her home i looked at the wound and it still had the scab on it. So as far as cleaning it out. No not done unless he thinks rubbing alcahol on is cleaning it out.. I wasnt born yesterday. Go to a reputable vet.You and your dog or cat will be better off for it

Dr. John is awesome. He truly cares about the animals. Our two dogs love him.

Reasonable prices & they host these tasting events on Thursday's 4 times a year from 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. every friday from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. & every saturday from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. me & my mother go every weekend

Took our pit in for her first exam and shots. The Dr and staff were very knowledgeable and handled her well. Visit was quick with no wait time. Loved it. We'll def bring her back for her next visit.

This vet knows what he's doing. Took both the cat and dog there. He figured out what the problem was immediately. Love this vet!
