We met the craziest and nastiest person here. My son accidentally opened a door of the kitten room then one old person started acting crazy and started lecturing us. She was very emotionally unstable and treated us like criminals. After I decided to leave the place, the nice lady who showed us around chased me and apologized. She literally told me that person is the craziest and everyone is very annoyed by her that totally makes sense. There are a lot of rescue places around here. No one should experience this. Stay away. This is the only thing I need to say. Wish I could leave 0 star for this worst place and I feel very sorry for the animals there.

Buddy Foundation is the next best place for cats and dogs, other than in a loving home environment. All volunteer staffed with caring people! I love this place. ????

I love this place cause it is a NO-KILL shelter and the volunteers and workers are totally awesome people and very friendly. I have donated many dog & cat items to them in the past and they appreciate everything they get for the babies there. I seen the ladies take the pups for walks and they spend great quality time with them, sitting in the grass and just showing these poor animals so much love and attention...if you are ever looking for a kitty or a puppy dog, check this shelter out, you will not regret it and you might find your new member to your family there. Not happy with your agency. Was interested in a dog that they had on their website, called them 3 times NEVER called back, and then sent them 2 email never responded back. Finally got a call on Monday and was told they just adopted the puppy out. How unfair!!!

I love my furever buddy that I adopted! They were very nice to work with throughout the whole process. I am going to be looking to adopt again this year and will be back to visit some time soon.

NO KILL SHELTER..THE PEOPLE THERE GENUINELY CARE FOR THE ANIMALS. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS

I Also had a bad experience at Buddy Foundation these people are very rude and NASTY I had to beg to just look at the kitty's I was treated like a criminal when I told them i had a male kitty at home who we never got fixed, both his sisters had been spayed and none of my kits go outside and show no interest in going outside. These posts that were positive were probably made by volunteers or people that work there, because the fifty some people in Arlington Heights I have spoken with about this place all say they are very rude and treat everyone badly. I got the impression that they don't want to adopt out any of their animals, sorta like a prison where they get so many dollars per inmate they have, stay away from this place don't waste your time, so many other shelters that are hassle free. They don"t deserve any stars but you have to give at least one to post

I honestly wish I could give 0 stars as well, but in order to write a review you have to give at least one. i’ve never felt more disrespected in my life than I have today. I was really uncomfortable speaking to the staff here and left almost in tears. My dad and I walked in interested in one of the dogs they have featured on the website, a friend of mine had visited it earlier in the day so I thought why not come check out the pup! The lady brought us over to the window and said she had to be away from all the other dogs cause they have kennel cough going around in the kennel.... when I asked if we could see her she asked how interested we were and if there were other dogs and family members in my house. We said yes and two dogs. she then told me everyone in the family had to come visit the puppy today including the two dogs. My one dog is very old, and I told her that wouldn’t be as easy as it seems. She was like well you see that’s an issue and there’s nothing we can do for you basically and have a nice day. She had the creepiest fake smile and i’ve never felt so degraded before. It’s not hard to just be genuinely nice to people especially when you work at an animal shelter. We didn’t deserve to be talked down to and she wouldn’t even let us visit the puppy. Also if there’s kennel cough going around, why would I wanna bring my other dogs in there? We will absolutely never come back here to adopt and it’s a shame cause they’re a no kill shelter who rescues these poor animals. I feel bad that they have to deal with the evil staff working there. never again!

We donated our beloved dogs items after he passed away to this no kill animal shelter. When we visited we were pleased to see how caring the staff was and how beautifully run this shelter was operating. So grateful to people who donate their time and energy to shelters like this. We would encourage anyone to make a donation (monetary or anything animal related). Donations are needed and they make each donation count.

We found a bunch of nice people donating their time to take care of homeless animals. The animals were wee taken care of, just needing a loving family to take care of them. We ended up adopting a kitten.

Really disappointed of how our personal meeting was handled. Our contact Lynn, was very nice and helpful, and I wish I can say the same thing about Stephanie the person we meet to see the puppy. She was not trained, and had no experience with adoptions, She literally told us that "I'm new to this adoptions process" needed less to say, we got turned away for just a missed judgment towards our dog from her part, on a 10 min meeting. If you're planning to adopt from this place make sure the "volunteer " you are meeting with is knowledgeable on how properly handle a meeting between 2 dogs.

The animals seemed to be well cared for but the staff was very unpleasant!

I understand that they have to make sure the dogs go to good homes but I just felt like I was being interrogated. The cat lady was great, the woman who showed us 1 dog seemed cold and annoyed with my family and I.
