My husband and I had called ahead to see if we needed to make an appointment to see the Golden doodle puppy January prior to making the trip. We were told that was not necessary. We drove 40 minutes to get to the store and the second we walked in, the associate gave us a hard time because the puppy had just been out and was taken out 4 times that day. I found the associate to come across extremely rude, stating she could ask for approval from her manager for us to see her for 5 minutes “only if we were a serious inquiry.” Even after we explained that we called ahead. This was my first time visiting this store and I was completely taken aback by the customer service. I will never go back to or adopt a puppy from this company.

The girl at the counter is useless and rude. Came in at 8.30 to purchase a dog and she said she won’t let the dog out as long as it’s too late and she won’t be able to do all the paperwork. So she just wanted to sell me a dog without even playing with that. Highly do not recommend this location. Better to go Naperville.

I don’t know if I could walk into your store again. We purchased our English bulldog from your downers grove location back in January 2018. A year ago our boy started having seizures and was was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. After one year of phenobarbital several vet visits and 2 ER visits he had to be put down because he wouldn’t stop having seizures would walk into circles and push his head into the walls. We are devastated, we took such great care and loved our boy deeply. He was only 4 this October and he was taken away from us too soon. We were greatful to find our newest family member but are crushed that he had medical issues too soon.

These people just want your money. They dont care about the animals!!

Is this not extremely cruel???? When they close they’re just left there all night???? These are living animals! Why are they sold like product?????

After going to 10,000 puppy stores to find a hypoallergenic dog for my friend, (no luck at shelters), I must say I was VERY impressed with Karen. She was helpful, informative, caring, and she truly loved the animals in the building. While we couldn't afford the dog we wanted and needed for allergy purposes, I had to give Karen a shout out because if I ever win the lottery and can afford it, she is the one I will be buying a dog from. Careful with the 0% financing as there is an 8% processing fee added on (not really interest free) but Karen is very honest about this and did not try to hide it. Some of their fees are high compared to other puppy stores (microchip) and accessories more expensive but still a place I would shop if I had the money. You will not feel like you are buying a car if you deal with Karen and staff.

We went to browse at the puppies and fell in love with one. A lady answered all our questions and was vary nice and the place was nice & clean!

I got the most beautiful and sweet puppy from here, Karen the manager was wonderful ,she picked her out for me I named her Venus Karen called her stella. Venus has boughtr beauty me great happiness everyone who meets her falls in love with her. From day one Venus was the most sweetest loving puppy and still is. Her beauty is beyond measure and that's why I named her venus. Happiness is Pet's I couldn't recommend more. The facility is spotless , the puppies are bathed they smell so good , they use a very good shampoo raspberry and champagne its wonderful. If your in the market for a puppy this is the place contact Karen she's wonderful with all the puppies. They treat and care for the puppies wonderfully. Im a very satisfied customer indeed. I'll be stopping in soon to pick up more shampoo and conditioner for Venus.

Management doesn’t return calls or emails. Save your self the headache and find an actual breeder. Will Never purchase here again.

The dogs are taken care of but omg the price tags are outrageous. $3900. for a puppy of any breed is crazy. Average prices are $2900. Over priced non designer dogs.

Where do I begin! The place is so clean and the puppies are well taken care of. We stopped just to look as we just lost our dog of almost 17 years and we fell in love with Chai which we now named her Hazel. We have been visiting her everyday and she comes home on Friday. I can’t say enough good things about Karen, she is awesome! I wish there would be more compassionate people like her. She is such a wonderful and caring person. Our Hazel loves her! I would definitely recommend this place and as soon as Hazel gets older we will get her a playmate. Stop by here and you will see the cutest puppies ever!

Clean environment with attentive staff and great puppies! All were playful and quiet. They get their puppies from breeders but had a good variety of types.

My niece got a puppy here and it was diagnosed with Giardia! Poor puppy

Had to deal with an EXTREMELY rude lady(i think it was the manager). She don't deserve to work with those cute pups.

We got a golden retriever in 2019 for $985. Now for the same breed this year they are asking 5k. haha what a joke of a company. Price gouging thieves. Will never buy here again .

Employee was very nice and kind. She was very relatable and always asked if needed help. She knew all the breeds we had questions about. 10/10 for her service and I want her to know. The reason I'm not happy just because the prices. They need to lower their prices because no ones gonna buy a dog for $4,000 its simply overpriced. and make the pets feel more happy give them bigger and nicer cages to play around in because in my opinion it feels like a jail cell for them they are big though I give them that. But still o hope they can change the prices thats all.

Very content with this place. Very clean and friendly! The staff are really nice and they care about the puppies. Process for purchase was quick and easy. Karen was really nice and friendly. Will come back in the future and recommend to family/friends. Very happy with my shiba Inu (maxwell) :)

We had our hearts set on a mini Goldendoodle. Looked into rescue/adoption but Goldendoodles are hard to find. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I would not hesitate to purchase another puppy from Happiness is Pets in the future. Thank you.

Bought our min long hair dachshund several months ago there. She is super intelligent, beautiful, loving, trainable, & healthy. We are very pleased. The whole neighborhood wants to see her & say hello to Rosie. She is a movie star. Her name is Nosey Rosie.

Love this place! I got my mom a Shih Tzu (now 1 yrs old now) and she has been the best companion to her since then. Their puppies come with a full background from certified dog breeders, and they're very well trusted. I wouldn't get another dog anywhere else.

My family bought a Cavapoo (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Miniature Poodle mix) from Happiness is Pets about 7 and a half years ago. Temperament wise she was a perfect puppy. It was really easy to train her, however as time went along we noticed more and more genetic issues. When she was 3 she started developing a cataract in one of her eyes. Then the vet told us she’s walking in diagonally because she has hip dysplasia. Her tail was docked by whatever breeder Happiness is Pets got her from. We also found that she had terrible allergies and she had a heart murmur. Well, due to her heart murmur we found out Wednesday that she developed Congestive Heart Failure... AT SEVEN YEARS OF AGE. SHE WAS ONLY 7. Due to the severity of the congestive heart failure we had to put down our dog, Angel, Wednesday. Our whole family is DEVASTATED. We thought we’d have so much more time with her. Cavapoos are suppose to have a lifespan of 13 to 15 years! Our dog was dearly loved by our family, but after this experience I will never buy another dog from Happiness is Pets. From now on for my family “adopt don’t shop” will be our motto.

Go see Karen! She's fantastic. I purchased 2 puppies from here (one for myself, one for my mom). They are an extremely clean facility -this is NOT a puppy mill breeding center. They are hobby breeders and well taken care of.
