We took our boy Shado in for a tooth abscess after many attempts at different clinics. One clinic wanted 250 just to walk in the door, another told us that it wasn't an abscess but "possibly" a cat fight injury, which was impossible because he never goes outside without our supervision and we knew it was an abscess from the beginning. But instead of listening they just kept blowing us off and wanting to do all of these unessesary tests. When we took him here they immediately were like "oh yea thats definitely an abscess " and he was in and out within a day. These folks CARE about animals you can just tell by how they talk and treat your fur baby. Professionals, no bs, they know what they're doing. No excuses, no unnecessary testing, they listen to what you have to say and fix the issue. Their prices are honest. No outrageous vet bills that you can't afford. I personally want to thank Hannah (I hope im spelling it right) who was an absolute sweetheart, she knew exactly what she was doing and took care of our old boy. And I want to thank the doctor who saved his poor mouth (I didn't catch your name i apologize). Cant recommend this place enough!! Thank you!!

Dr. Lee, Hannah the tech, and Stephanie the receptionist are top notch. We had a crested gecko emergency (that literally cannot be googled!) and Stephanie and Hannah were so incredibly caring, warm, and comforting. Dr. Lee preserved Yoshi’s quality of life and he is going to be the happiest one-eyed gecko around. Thank you for not only seeing our pet, but caring for him too!

I would love to give this place five stars, if it weren’t for the rude older woman that seems to manage the front desk. It’s a shame that a vibrant, passionate and sweet staff is met with someone so undiscerning and venomous: if you don’t meet this woman’s need for control, you are talked down to and treated like someone that isn’t coming in to pay for a high end trip to a beautiful vet. We have had to use this vet for the good, bad, and ugly; please consider training for discretion and kindness for those that may be going through a hard time or just expect someone to be somewhat considerate at a check in for any kind of clinic. Spectacular vet. I had to bring my chinchilla in for an assessment and they were so willing to work with my crazy unpredictable work schedule so I could get him back in for a follow up appointment. I would recommend this vet to anyone.

This is the best vet in Boise! The team is always very caring and attentive. I have been able to get my little rat in day of and I always feel like she is in good care here. Everyone truly cares for critters of every kind.

I can't say enough great things about Habitat. They've been incredibly accommodating, particularly when I've had sick pets who needed immediate medical care. I recently had a very sick bird and even though they didn't have any open appointments/were very busy, they worked to fit my bird in for immediate care. They were wonderfully caring and sweet throughout the entire process. These people care about animals and their customers, which is invaluable since Boise is growing too quickly; there are way too many new people who've moved here and not enough veterinary services. I will always take my pets to Habitat and know they will continue to provide amazing service - even through Boise's growing pains. I can't thank Habitat enough for everything they've done to help and care for my companions.

Love the new location! The staff is fabulous- helpful and caring. The well- thought out design of payment in the private exam rooms and exit out the back of exam-room into courtyard- back to parking make this a 5-star place! Best in Boise.

Habitat is our favorite vet we've had through many moves with our deaf, 12 year old pitbull. She had dental surgery here and they were really thorough with checking up on her as well as with giving us a detailed breakdown of possible charges before surgery. Our dog loves all of the staff here. They're organized and really helpful. We'll definitely miss them now that we're moving across the country.

I could get into the details, but I’ll spare you. TWICE Habitat has misdiagnosed my dog. They suggested and went through with treatment without running definitive tests. When I brought her to another nearby vet due to Habitat’s lazy response to my concerns, my dog was found to have serious ailments and could have been started on the CORRECT treatments months earlier. My experience is not isolated. I know several other people in the area with similar stories. If you have a concern about the health of your pet, DO NOT go here.

We followed Dr.Veals from another facility about 3 years ago and are so very glad we did. Habitat has been the best vet clinic we have ever been too hands down! EVERY veterinarian, vet tech and front desk employee is amazing! We love you guys! -Bandi and Niya

I absolutely love this place. My daughter has a parakeet, and HVH has been amazing each time we have brought her in. Everyone is friendly, patient, and indulgent of nervous pet owners ???? who have many, many questions. The care given is always professional, courteous. I highly recommend them!!

The most attentive, caring and on-call vets imaginable!

Our rabbit wasn't eating and acting lethargic. We called and they fit us in quickly. They gave us lots of updates and explained options to us, and were very nice. When they sent us home they gave us instructions for at home care and said to drop her back off in the morning if she hadn't improved at all. Thankfully it's 3 days later and she is pretty much back to normal! Very good prices too.

We've been taking our birds here for 4 years. They have the best prices for aviary checkups in town! And their aviary doctor is honest with us about any issues our "boys" have had. They've been a lot more helpful and understanding then our previous vet. You can call Habitat and ask for advice, you can even text pictures to their number if you need to. Right now, because of the COVID, they have curbside checkups, which are a bit stressful. They take the animal inside, then our vet calls us and talks to us about the issues and solutions.

These guys are top notch! Very good with our dog. Walked out to greet us and picked up our pooch. They loved him like we do. I would definitely refer others here!

We have had several pets treated by Habitat over the years, and have had nothing but good experiences. All the vets take time to listen to your concerns and develop a treatment plan that works both for the owner and the animal. We are sad to have since moved out of state-would come back to them for all our vet care if we could!

Habitat is the vet to see. The whole staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We have had the pleasure to see several different doctors and every single one has made us feel welcomed. Duke was just recently neutered and Dr. Baker made us feel great about our decision. Great Place!

l really like this vet office. Dr. Linenberger and staff helped me through a complicated matter when I needed a government-related health certificate. He was willing to do the research and helped me to receive the certificate to me on a a timely-basis. He and all the other clinic vets suggest appropriate treatment plans for my dog, but it doesn't feel like constant sales pressure like some other vet clinics I've been to. I'd highly recommend this clinic because they are professional, empathetic, responsive, and excellent communicators.

Dr. Lee is a fantastic vet. We took our dog in to be evaluated for an orthopedic issue, and she went above and beyond. She called several specialists and spent a lot of time researching our dog’s issue to give us the best result. It was apparent that Dr. Lee deeply cared about our dog and making sure he got the best possible care. I highly recommend Dr. Lee and Habitat!

I have been coming to this clinic for 10+ years and have always been very pleased with the care both of my dogs have received. Dr. Caldwell has gone above and beyond in returning my phone calls and helping me with a very difficult end of life decision for one of my sweet pups. Dr Caldwell and one of the techs came to our home to give my dear sweet pup a very peaceful and dignified ending. I will be forever grateful, as this is such a difficult decision to make. All the staff at habitat have been so professional and caring, we cannot recommend them more highly!
