My dog loves it here, only place I'd trust to leave her. She doesn't like too many people but she loves entire staff and is always happy when we turn up the road????

I am so glad that I had my cat quarantine here for a month instead of on Oahu where I couldn’t visit him. Their staff is truly excellent, they take good care of the animals and would even go in and cuddle with my cat and send me pictures via text. I could bring him food and toys and they overall did such a great job during a very hard time being separated from my fur baby.

I had to go on a week long business trip and was trying to find someone to take care of my rabbits. That wouldn't have been a problem except one of them takes medication for his eyes. I was referred to Bar-King from the Big Island Rabbit Society since they had a history of taking rabbits in the past. I went down about a month prior to my trip to check it out and met with Sarah, who answered all of my (many) questions and showed me the space that the rabbits would be. She also gave me some helpful advice in terms of how to write up instructions for the workers, such as feeding and medicine times. When it came to the day to drop the bunnies off, I had help from two workers to get them set up. They were courteous and quick to respond. I felt like a mom dropping off kids at the first day of school and was torn between the bunnies not being concerned about me leaving and being happy that they were comfortable settling in. I got back from my trip and went to pick them up. They were so comfortable, they didn't want to leave! The staff also told me that I had underestimated their pellets and fresh fruit so they went out and got some. They didn't call me during my trip but I would have been okay with that even if they did call me. What initiative! I have another trip that I have to take in October, so I will make a reservation when the dates are solidified. I was very happy with their service and so were my rabbits!

I had an American Eski who had passed away years ago. When I had to travel to other places BK was my first choice and I would recommend these fine people who took exceptional care of him. I recommend Bar King to anyone who cares much for their little furry family as I had with with Jake ❤️❤️ I do miss him more than I did for some of my own blood family ????.

My dogs were so well cared for! My dogs are old and I was concerned they would be stressed with kenneling. When I picked them up they were both so calm and content. Best experience ever!

Being a former employee at Bar King Dog Kennels, your pet will be taken very good care of. The staff even takes the time to interact/play with your pet once or twice throughout the day.

Last yr our hse/fur baby sitter moved back to the mainland which placed us in unfamiliar situation...to put our fur baby in a kennel while we r on vacation. While I searched for an available kennel for a last minute stay for a week I found Bar-King Dog Kennel. I'm so glad I called, they had an opening for those dates and we got to have a tour before making a decision. Not only were we impressed with the facilities, most importantly was that our fur baby, Naku, was happy and comfortable during his stay there. Well, after that week last year, Naku has been there continually from anywhere to an overnighter to 10 days and he loves it there!! Everyone from the front desk to those who work and care for the animals in the back are sooo super awesome!!

Wonderful staff made our pup's short stay with them a comfortable and pleasant one, while we were moving recently. Having her there put OUR minds at ease, knowing she was safe and happy, and therefore made our move less stressful.

Nice place for animals, please excuse my earlier post. It seems that when I look at my residence, it's here. Google earth picked my place was why. Will fix. So went a few streets down to kennel, and had a wonderful visit. Really nice place. All kinds of room for animals, and a beautiful wide open area. Wow, this is a nice, nice place, and I would like it there also. Move coming. Not. Have a great day.

My cats were happy to come home to mom and dad after 120 days quarantine, but sad to leave Bar King Dog kennel's loving staff!

Boarded 3 dogs. Had excellent care for the 3 weeks they were there. Special diet, if needed and no extra charge to administer meds!

The staff taking care of my dog Molly is fabulous. But! I knew that I be lied too. On Monday being Memorial Day I knew that the vet wouldn't come out that day. I was told not to do the blood test on Wednesday wait until Monday. Monday being a holiday I knew have to wait until Tuesday. So, Instead of doing the test on Wednesday come on mow will the test be done on Tuesday and will that be enough time instead of Wednesday to have the results of my dog that is Hawaiian born and never seen another dog while on the mainland. That it come back no other way but good to release in my arms. It seems there is no respect for a person that is 100% Disable Veteran. That my dog is a service dog my companion. I know thank you for your service.

Loved this place!!! Took our dogs here while we were out of town. The staff was super friendly and took great care of both our pups. Even sending them home with a bath making them all so clean. Really made it easier to not worry too much about them while we were out of town. Will defiantly be coming back!!!

3 times I've had my dogs there always without a hitch. Very nice people.

Been using them for over a decade. Staff knows each of my three dogs and have always taken great care of them, even if it meant extra work. We travel a lot. My dogs know when we turn down the kennel road and my truck starts shaking with excitement. As soon as the leash is on they can't wait to go in and get pet by the staff. If they ever showed signs of illness they were treated and I was notified. What more could you ask for?

Great boarding locally for HPP. Very convenient and the staff make me feel secure in leaving my fur babies. I have 2 small dogs that share a double small dog suite, with sliding glass doors. They offer grass yard time for them to play. Glad large dogs and small dogs are in different houses. They offer large variety of food for your pets needs. Reasonable price.
