Very uncaring. I called with a very sick kitten. They wouldn't see him because he wasn't a patient. He'll be dead by the time they would see him..

Our dog needed a quick dental checkup from an injury he sustained while running into a downed branch. All the veterinarians on island were booked weeks and even a couple months out. Thanks to Dr Maya and Dr Steinberg, our pup was squeezed in to a quick emergency visit.! Thank you Kapa’a Animal Clinic Team!

I recently went to this vet after not going a few years. I took my pet there for a something that is an on-going issue hoping to find a solution. They offered me purchasing expensive diet food as the solution and the bill was expensive for that suggestion. The diet food a few months later did not resolve the health challenge. I was disappointed at the time of service and now even more disappointed that I haven't made any progress, wasted time and money.

I’ve been here a few times as a new dog owner and they are very helpful. The first time the vet was very patient and answered all my questions. The next couple times a year later they were in a hurry, and I didn’t realize the vet was not going to come back. Ask your questions when you’ve got them in the room! This last time they were very nice in squeezing me in quickly for an emergency. Thank you for that. The instructions they gave ended up being a bit confusing, so we’ll see how it goes with my pup. In think they’re probably overbooked, but they’re working really hard to keep it going.

My son's Golden Doodle fell ill outside of office hours. I called a friend at Kaua'i Humane Society who recommended the Kapa'a Animal Clinic. Dr. Miyake was kind and thorough, and even gave me her personal cell phone number to call if things took a turn for the worse during the night. Luckily Coconut recovered quickly. I was so comforted to have them nearby during that first scary night. I highly recommend them!

Very pleasant experience! Our cat's condition was getting serious very quickly and they were able to see him the next morning after I called. He was kept for 3 days and came home feeling much better. About two weeks after he came back he had another issue and they were able to prescribe medicine right away. He ended up having a reaction to that medication and another was available the day we called. Our other cat caught the same issue and they were again very quick with their help. All the staff was professional and friendly. You can tell they truly care for the animals - they even had a nickname for my boy while he was there.

I just want to express our deepest gratitude for Kapaa Animal Hospital and in particular our vet Dr. Bryce Ahana for saving our beloved fur child’s life. Bryce was deeply empathetic, patient, cautious, and took the time to explain every detail, our options, and his recommendations. They performed two stomach decompressions on Monday and an intensive abdominal surgery to remove what resembled a large tumor, but thankfully proved to be a stubborn wad of long Kauai grass that was impossible to remove with the two stomach decompressions. Our fur baby didn’t eat for a few days during which Kapaa Animal Hospital’s emergency line fielded our every concern with a soft touch and patience. We will forever be grateful for their skilled hands and warm hearts. Thank you for saving our baby.

We love the staff, vets, and technicians at Kapaa Animal Clinic. I took our two dogs today for their check-up and was impressed with their safety protocols regarding the pandemic. The vet took her time answering my questions and gave me great advise on how to help one of our pets who wasn't even at that appointment! You can tell this is a person who loves animals and goes out of her way to help them...and their owners. We are lucky to have this animal clinic on Kauai!

I was provided all the possible outcomes available and truly appreciate their patience with all my tears over deciding. I can’t say enough good things about them. Wonderful staff and vets. They took care of our twin pups from the start until their last breath. The were put down together and it was beautiful. Thank you for coming to our home to make our beautiful loving dogs their last breath. We are forever grateful to you .... your compassion towards our dogs was impeccable and you always took care of our dogs. Thank you.

Love everyone and very helpful

My cat was urgently ill and my regular vet was unable to see him right away. I called Kapaa Animal Clinic and they suggested I come in as a walk in considering how serious the situation was. My wait time was about an hour, which was very reasonable considering I had no appointment, and was not even a regular patient there. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The vet technician that prepped my cat (so sorry, I didn't get her name) was extremely friendly and patient. Dr. Fran was very warm and friendly, and was able to put my usually nervous cat at ease. He was treated and sent home with medication, but his symptoms returned later that night. I called the after-hours line and Dr. Fran called back within a few minutes. Without hesitation she offered to meet me at the clinic to re-check him even though it was now 1:00 in the morning. My cat ended up having to stay at the clinic for the next few days, but Dr. Fran called me every day with updates, and encouraged me to stop by for visits. Once he was released, she provided a thorough explanation of his medications, how to administer it, and detailed advice on his after-care. My cat is currently recovering very well, and I am so grateful to all the wonderful staff at Kapaa Animal Clinic!

They were well educated. Open to alternative healing. Clean. Offers many many things to buy. Reception is very kind. They have a hospital for many things. Big thing s need to go to Oahu.

Inattentive, vet didn't even introduce self, weighed animal without saying what doing, never announced, tried to look at teeth, couldn't get mouth open, left it. Not very satisfying, have been much better and more interactive in past.

I called into the clinic last minute because my cat was in critical condition. The staff welcomed me, rushed me in, aided so gracefully and with sincere love for my animal and myself. I had to put my cat down that day unexpectedly...it was tragic and I am heartbroken. But I will say there is no other vets I would rather it have been with. These people really love animals and really care for you. I will continue to take all of my pets to his clinic knowing that they will be cared for the best! Thank you so much, you are angels ♥️ Forever grateful!

Have been going here for years. They're very busy but handle your pets with great care. Worth the wait in my opinion.

Had my dogs suitcase emptied . They did a great job and he is a different dog . They also made a way for me when I had trouble paying a bill after being flooded out . Good people in that place .

Great staff. They saved my baby

Love the staff here. My buddy my soul mate Druk wasn't doing well. I stayed up all night holding him loving him making sure he wouldn't pass. The next morning I went into the Animal Clinic where they did the exam made some diagnosis and then verified with blood test. His kidneys where failing and admitted him into the animal hospital saying that he may not make it through the night. Helpless and crying they sympathized handed me tissues and promised to look after him and do their best. Druk was in there for three days. For 10 years we've never been separated from Druk ever. Always at my side. He's my Service Animal- medical alert dog on top of being my most trusted loyal friend ever in life. The doctors and staff helped Druk pull through with a strict treatment plan he was able to come home and continue his treatment plan. Nothing in this world could ever replace that special bond we continue to share to this very day. Thanks to the staff of the Animal Clinic.
