I have no confidence that the veterinarian is actually examining the animals, especially now with COVID where you can't actually go back with them. At least, the vet isn't even glancing under ear flaps of spaniel breeds. My dog has had a *very* obvious rash on her ear inside flap for about two months. About a month ago I paid way too much for an initial (new patient) exam and the vet said nothing--she said nothing about anything, really, except vaccines that the dog needed. Should have been a red flag. This morning I went back for a booster, mentioned the rash, and come to find out its a bilateral ear infection--for which they charged me another exam fee (even though it should have been seen a month ago!). There is NO WAY the vet wouldn't have seen the rash a month ago if she had even GLANCED at the ear. You lift up the flap, and its right there. So, I have no idea what I paid for in that initial exam if she couldn't have been bothered to even look at my dogs ears. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I don't mind spending good money on a vet, but I do not feel my animal would be well taken care of here.

I called Koolau in pretty much an emergency, I wanted a second opinion from another vet. They were very responsive and asked plenty questions, you could tell that they cared, and they were willing to look at him that day. It was around 2 pm and they still made time for us. They worked on my cat and I looked at the bill and it was at least half from the place I just left. Dr. Asato is very thourough, very personable and I am happy I got a second opinion.

Very happy with the service. My vet genuinely cares and won me over when she said she tries topical before oral. As a person who believes antibiotics are over prescribed as an easy fix I was really happy to hear this.

Very friendly, and very loving towards the animals they treat. The team of professionals was very flexible and great at communicating what the needs of the animal were.

Dr. Iwashita, Dr. Zane, and all the vet techs have the utmost compassion for my cats. They treat them as if they were their own pets. Thank you for being so kind, gentle, and caring of Abby and Alex. We are very blessed.

We have used them for our 2 dogs since we arrived on island. They are wonderful with them and words cannot express enough how much the Vets and th staff mean to us and our dogs. Go! Make an appointment, they are the best.
