We just started taking our dogs here a few months ago after moving to the island and are thrilled at the service. They staff are helpful and friendly, appointments run on time and they genuinely care about our dogs. Fantastic Vet (and i've been to a lot of vets!)

Everyone at Makai has been friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and welcoming. My dog had to get surgery and they made sure she was comfortable and well taken care of. I never felt like she was just another patient, they are personal and they listen to your concerns. I recommend taking your fur babies here.

I love bringing my two pups Koda and Kenai to Makai Pet Hospital. The staff is so welcoming, caring, and attentive to my boys. Koda has an on going battle with a yeast infection in his ears and his care team is so determined to fight it off! Once they were even able to get me in the day of to see Koda when his infection was pretty nasty. The whole care team/staff here is amazing. There is nobody else on this island I’d rather bring my boys to. Thank you Makai for being such amazing people and continuing to give top notch care to Koda and Kenai♥️♥️♥️

I needed a veterinarian and called several. This is the only one that would accommodate my dog that was in need. The communication has been clear and professional and I haven’t felt like somebody was talking down to me. I highly recommend this veterinarian and the care they provide.

They were very friendly and sympathic to Brownies reluctantness of entering the dr.s office. They were great.

My dog was itching non-stop so I took her in. Paid $120 for a vet visit & apoquel prescription only to find FLEAS on her shortly after. How the hell did they “evaluate” my dog and not see fleas?! And prescribe me an expensive allergy medication that did not do anything because the issue was FLEAS not allergies?! I called back when I found fleas and the receptionist said she would talk to the vet I saw and have her call me back with recommendations. The receptionist called me back only to recommend an oral medication that they sold at their clinic and nothing else. Great waste of money ????

Courtesy and caring! Everyone from the front desk clerk to the provider, Dr. Zia show care and concern for your pet and needs . Patient with your questions. Provide updates, and follow-up on care to insure both you and your pet are satisfied to insure optimal outcome.

With the Covid-19 virus. Makai Pet Hospital took the extra precautions. I called upon arrival confirmed what needed to be done over the phone and they met me at the door to take my dog in. As soon as my dog was done they called me to go over the details of the visit along with payment over the phone and brought my dog to the door. Great service in and out. Do I recommend YES!

Avoid this vet. Dr wong only cares about pushing expensive medications. They do not care about pet health unless they can make big profits. Avoid this vet.

Makai treated us with excellent service. Our Ms.Bebe had a brain tumor and need to go to the Rainbow ???? Bridge to wait for us.. Makai's staff and Dr.Cunningham made us feel at ease, they explain every step and walked us thew letting MsBebe go... I highly recommend Makai pet clinic!!! Love love

I had to bring my dog Cooper in for his updated flea and heart worm medication. This was his first time being seen at Makai since we just moved to the island in February. Despite having to work with the Covid complications for safety, I was really impressed with the thorough and professional visit. Cooper obviously felt safe and didn’t show any anxiety with the Makai staff. The doctor was able to identify a yeast infection on Cooper’s paws and prescribe wipes for his toes that have been a game changer in giving him relief from itchiness. He and I thank you all for your attentive care to his health!

Our vet is Dr. Cunningham and she's awesome! I normally feel very nervous for my Kitty's health but Dr. Cunningham us always sweet and reassuring. They trimmed our Kitty's nails for free too! Going to the vet is no longer anerve-wraxjing experience for me or my cat. I'd recommend this vet to anyone!!

The staff is Awesome and very caring....Dr Cunningham is the best and really loves the animals she takes care of.

The best caring veterinarian's and support staff!!! They really care and know your animals name even. The vet even does call backs a few days after your visit. Now that's service!

They have a new online reservation system that makes arranging an appointment too easy. After discovering our dog sick in the evening (vet clinic was closed), we were able to make an online vet reservation at the day, time, and doctor of our choosing. Couldn't be happier.

The Doctors and staff here are very friendly. Dr. Asato does acupuncture and is very knowledgeable about alternative medications that treat the problem and not just the symptoms.

Needed a new veterinarian for my little dog. I am so happy I chose Makai Pet Hospital. The ladies in the front are always so nice. Very helpful and friendly. Great people and amazing service

My Rottweiler puppies tails were cut to long,on the second, perhaps even third joint, these are potential show puppies,and will now be forever judged on their tail Docs!, such sadness for a group of lovely puppies!Other than that,I took my Serbian Rotty in and told the haole female Vet what the previous Vet diagnosed my dog with, she went along with the same Diag. No blood test, no tests what so ever, she leaned into my dog, checking her torn ACL & Manis us, we were in & out in 10 mins. With a month's worth of pain killers, appro. 164.00 worst spent dollars, I see a much more hands on vet now!
