My dog loves coming here. He always comes home pooped. He clearly loves all of the workers- he wiggles his butt every time we get there. The nicest staff.

The folks at Ohana truly are family. They take great care of our two furkids. They’re open long hours, so can even babysit the dogs on the weekend if needed.

We take our fur baby once a week so that he can socialize with other dogs. Every time we drop him off, he's so excited to go as he darts straight for the door to enter. When picking him up, he's so pooped from playing all day that he crashes for the rest of the night.

Puppy Parents Beware!! We pulled our dog after 4d bc of an unsafe environment & unconscionable business practices. Our puppy was 3.5mo old when we took him for a 4hr behavior assessment that he passed with flying colors. We were told that he'll fit in here great. The employees recommended if we were going to be regulars that we should buy a multiday pass bc it's the most economical option. We needed day care approx 4d/wk so we bought a 40 day pass for $850. The first 2d went fine but we did notice a stench when we picked him up that was difficult to shampoo out. This is from the chemicals they use to clean the floors. The odor is pungent as soon as you walk into the place. During their tours they boast that in the right conc. this stuff can kill rabies. That should've been a red flag, but since we had bought a pass we brought him back for day 3. He came home with an angry rash along his entire underside, from his neck down to his hindquarters. One of the employees also claimed that our puppy was starting to mount other dogs and that if this cont, he would not be allowed to return until 2 mos after he is neutered. Our dog is very well socialized. We've been taking him to training classes & to supervised play with dog trainers since he was 8 wks. We've seen him play with many dogs and he loves to play bow and jump but we've never seen him "mount." Ohana does have cameras and I've seen the behavior they describe as mounting & it looks like the same play exhibited during the supervised play sessions. We kept him out for the next 3d to let his rash settle down and brought him back on day 4 in a shirt to protect his belly, but when he came home he had a rash on every part of his belly that wasn't covered by his shirt. Also they said his mounting was out of control and that he was in time out for much of the day. They froze our pass and told us not to bring him back until 2mos after he is neutered. Again, this is only 1.5 weeks since his assessment that he passed with flying colors. I asked to get a prorated refund because this was not a good fit with the bad rashes and the behavioral problems that they claimed he had. She said they do not give refunds. What's the point of paying for the assessment if 1.5wks later they can tell you to never mind the findings during the assessment, your dog now fails? She told me that sometimes it takes a few days to see how a puppy will fit in. If that's the case, then why encourage puppy owners to get passes? The only reason why we did it was bc the assessment went so well. Later, I get a call from the owner Chris & I attempt to explain why I wanted a prorated refund. He immediately cuts me off, speaks over me and doesn't let me talk. He then condescendingly explains what mounting is and says no refunds bc it's our puppy's bad behavior that is forcing this pass freeze. Again we have different interpretations of "mounting" & Chris has never even met my dog but, still Ohana is not a safe place for our puppy because of the skin reactions to the chemicals. He tries to tell me that the rash was from mounting. I tell him my vet says otherwise, to which he responds "I don't care what your vet says, I know dogs!" We demanded a refund and he hung up on us. He calls back and offers to give store credit for food or treats but this is not what i paid $850 for. He says no refunds, the policy is posted everywhere and we signed a waiver. But if you fail to provide a safe environment to care for my dog I don't care what you make me sign, you are in breach of that agreement. Finally he says, "Store credit or nothing. I've been doing this for 12 yrs, if you take me to court you'll lose. So whats it gonna be?" I stood my ground & he hung up on me again. We've since started taking our dog to a different place & he loves it. His rash cleared up in a few days & btw, they report no mounting, just normal puppy play. We are currently pursuing mult. aves. to try to get our $ back. They care only about $, not your pet. Heed this & the other neg reviews and take your loved one somewhere else.

We were visiting Oahu for a month and brought our dog with us. There were places we could not take our dog during the day and had Ohana Doggie Day Care to watch her during the day on a couple occasions. The employees we dealt with were incredibly nice and treated our dog really well. They were easy to work with and their rates were very reasonable. I would highly recommend them for the day care, we didn't try their other services (boarding, grooming, etc)

Ohana Doggie Day Care really lives up to its name. We always feel like they make our pup part of their ohana. The staff is super friendly, they are open later than other doggie day care locations on island, and their live web cam feed gives us confidence that our dog is being treated well and having a great time. I would not hesitate to recommend Ohana to any dog owner who lives or works in downtown Honolulu or Kakaako.

Our baby goes here at least once a week and boarded here for 2 weeks. Wouldn't trust anyone else with our puppers. Great staff, fair pricing, happy dog.

We moved to Honolulu several months ago with one of our three dogs (the other two are with family on the mainland until we return). My dog has separation anxiety because she is not used to being alone. I am SO thankful I found Ohana Doggie Daycare. My dog goes there while I am at work and she loves it. The staff is extremely friendly and in the morning rush, they get you in and out in seconds! They have taken so much stress off our family because we know our dog is happy and having fun while we are away.

I have been bringing my dog to Ohana Doggie Daycare since he was 6 months old. It's a great place. There was a recent change of ownership, but the place remains a great place. My dog enjoys it there.
