The staff at VTAL are so caring and compassionate for animals and it shows❤️. My fur babies are always well taken care of and have a blast!

I have two American Bulldogs who have been to training and we live on 5 acres so they have plenty of exercise. We wanted to make sure they had time apart and socialize. We took our female first everything seem okay at first , got the camera subscription so I could see her . All I ever seen was her lock up with a bunch of dogs . Never in the pool or any kind of interaction. She got where she didn’t even want to get out the car. Now my male whole different story. Went for temperament test , he was shaking and I told the young lady he was nervous . I think he thought he was at the vet which he is petrified of, oh no problem he would be fine. I get a call not even 15 minutes to come get him , and was ask to come in he was growling at the owner , now my dog has NEVER growled at anyone kids and people can do anything to him and he is just laid back. We have friends that bring dogs over to play and they have a blast. So not sure other that throwing him in a pen with other dogs and being scared and not sure what she did to my dog ! But I would say be very cautious

Left our favorite family member here over the fourth and they took excellent care of him! Highly recommend! Loved getting to watch him play and swim on the app. The staff were attentive and kind. And as a bonus we got pictures of him dressed in his july 4th best! Thank you VTAL!

I have two large dogs who stayed last week. I picked them up the other day and we have several problems now. Chewed up paws which I think is from the AstroTurf and possibly the heat. One is barely eating will not go outside to pee and severely anxious. She has an inflamed urethra and is going to the vet today. The other has a wound on the side of his face and also will not go outside to go to the bathroom. For $1100 I would have appreciated more attention to how they were doing. I received no notice of any issues. I hope they adjust back to their routine but I will never send my dogs here. In my opinion, they have too many dogs at once and couldn’t possibly manage the attention an animal needs.

Trixie, an American Staffordshire terrier, was denied to enroll in daycare with her cousin due to her breed. My husband and I called a few other places and they as well denied her. Finally, VON TRAPP, was open for business & she was accepted with open arms! ???? We were so relieved and grateful as we don't have much backyard room for her to play around plus we didn't want to cage her when we went to work. Not only did Trixie get to go to daycare but she got to go to a brand new daycare with a variety of dog play areas. Great price for value of service, you may watch your dog at any time using their app which shows live camera feed throughout the entire facility. Professional dog staff trained, experienced, and will give you suggestions, if you ask! Highly recommended!

We brought our ~11 year-old chocolate lab here last year after he suddenly lost nearly all mobility in his back legs. Before that, we had taken him to one of the doggie daycare places in Savannah for years, until he came home limping one day and we decided regular daycare was no longer tenable for him (but hadn't found an alternative). I went to the initial rehab assessment terrified, expecting to hear that he was too far gone for therapy and rehab. But over the next weeks and months, Betsy and her staff were able to dramatically improve his movement and function through water treadmill work, acupuncture, and laser therapy, among other things. Then they kept him at a nice cruising altitude of mobility for a dog of his age, enhancing his quality of life for the last months of his life. They do regular daycare here as well, but if you have an older dog that can no longer handle that kind of thing or has mobility problems, please do yourself a favor and bring them to Von Trapp for rehab services.

We have a 2-3 year old rescue kitty with epilepsy and have not gone on an overnight trip due to her medication needs since adoption. They also offer canine boarding and day-care. I easily reserved a space online for her, but then contacted the facility with additional concerns (crazy cat dad here). The staff was extremely caring and attentive to my concerns and obviously well invested in my cat's one night stay. Every communication was responded to quickly and they even sent a picture of our cat! I had a concern after pickup and Ms. Von Trapp called me personally. I believe her care was top notch. Before covid-19 I have seen the facilities and they are SPOTLESS and smell great! Staff is awesome. I've been a vet tech almost 20 years and this is hands down the best facility in the city. My significant was on vacation next week and I need a place to take our dog Mia to. We were lucky to find Von Trapp and let me tell you Mia loved it the entire week last week.
