Really upset. The entire reason I drive our hamster from Bluffton to Pooler for nail trims is so I don't hurt her by trying to do it myself. Every time we have been here (besides the one time the vet trimmed them), we have left with at least one nail bleeding. But I understand things happen. Took her in today for a nail trim and was told they would just take her back without me going to the room with her, which has never been the case. When she brought her back out she told me she had to put tissue glue on her and to watch for infection. All I could see was flesh and asked her if the nail was gone and she assured me that it wasn't. Well it is. It looks so bad. We won't be back.

Have three gal rats who I got from Petco, but have been in great health until a large bump appeared (resembling a tumor). Panicking, I was able to get an appointment the next day (10:35am) with this business and was then able to schedule an appointment for surgery the very next day. Everyone was extremely sweet and handled Eight (my rat’s name) very gently, especially since she is very shy. No surgery has happened yet, but I feel extremely confident after having a very informative and realistic conversation with the doctor and nurses. I’m 19 years old and a college student, but there are payment options available (Care credit, which the doctor was kind enough to inform me about) and the price overall is extremely reasonable so I don’t feel too overwhelmed. I really look forward to saving enough money to take my other two girls here in the near future! :)

Gave my boa the best care possible, the vet was very knowledgeable and didn't mind me asking a lot of questions. Not expensive compared to other exotic vets and they took extra time to help.

I was so heartbroken I don't know. The doctor seemed concerned. I really have a loss of words. My baby(or old girl) had to be put down.

Great place! Highly recommend for the fur babies

I have brought both of my rats here! When I had to put my rat Rebel down, they were all so kind and comforting the whole time. As hard as that was, they made me feel like I wasn’t alone. When my other rat, Bonnie, started growing tumors like her sister, I thought for sure that the vets would recommend putting her down. When I went in however, after the exam and some questions the vet told me that I could have months with her, and even gave me pain meds for her just in case and gave me helpful tips. Because of her, I have had three more months with my sweet girl. Thank you all so much, I hope you know you truly made a difference to me.

I brought in my cockatiel (Nacho) and parakeet (Nicolas) to get a check up. We saw Dr.miller she was very nice and answered all my questions I never felt rushed and she was very informative. I would recommend them to anyone with a exotic pet or bird.

I have a 3 1/2 month old fancy rat and she was showing signs of an illness. The staff made me feel comfortable (not a lot of people approve of rats lol) and they handled my Marble girl so well and made me feel so much better about the situation. She’s improving and on her antibiotics now (which they showed me step by step on how to give to her) I will be taking all of my littles here, thanks so much for an easy visit!!

We’ve been going here for years, and they have brought our beloved rabbit from the brink of death several times. They treated him for a fast growing malignant tumor without amputating. Almost a year later and no regrowth. They were very clear with the risks, and made no promises, yet have always taken very good care of him. Almost 12 years old and he is still going strong! We are so grateful for these wonderful caring people!

Appreciate the candor and straight forwardness of the Dr about the reality of our particular situation. She was gentle but honest about options. Will definitely bring our other chickens in if necessary.

Me and my wife took our guinea pig there on Saturday, the vet(I cant remember her name) but she was the absolute best and made sure every question we had was answered. Without a doubt the best vet. Its really nice taking our guinea pigs somewhere where there arnt big dogs barking all over!

Absolutely wonderful exotic/avian vets! I keep both birds and reptiles, and I’m so grateful that I live near Avian & Exotic. I’ve heard horror stories about other “exotic” vets that have no business calling themselves such, that’s not the case here! Dr. Wilkinson and Dr. Miller are both very knowledgeable, examine your pet in front of you, and will go over everything with you in detail, they tell you what they think may be wrong, what tests they recommend, etc. and pricing for everything BEFORE they do it, so you know exactly what’s going on and how much it’s going to cost upfront (I’ve had other vets not even examine my pet in front of me, and then come back with “ok this is what we did and it will cost you this much”, not an ok thing to do). Also the pricing is very reasonable considering they’re what I would consider specialists, I’ve never walked out of there thinking I was overcharged or cheated. The thing I appreciate most about them is, I can call anytime (when they’re open) and ask Will about pretty much anything I’m concerned about, wether it’s diet, behavior changes, weird things my animals do that I’m not sure is normal, literally anything, no matter how small it is, I am always treated with respect and care, and he will do whatever is necessary to answer my question to the best of his ability, and if he doesn’t know he’ll ask one of the vets who will. They have even stayed open late for me when my monitor suddenly became very sick right before they were going to close, and didn’t rush through the appointment when I got there. I can tell they truly care about the animals and people they see, and do their best to provide the best possible care to all of their patients. I truly can’t say enough good things about this office.

The staff is very friendly and the doctors are knowledgeable and explain clearly about what’s happening to the animal. This is the only place I trust with my reptiles and small mammals.

There is a reason we drive over an hour just to bring our rabbit to this clinic! Absolute best veterinary experience I have ever had! Every time we come up there both the doctor and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The prices are very fair and the facility is clean and well kept. Dr. Wilkinson went above and beyond to help us get our rabbit ready to travel overseas. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, making a difficult process as easy as possible. Everyone there is patient, thoughtful, and genuinely caring towards you and your pet. We will miss having such a great vet when we move!

Amazing staff! I had to take our ball python in for a small abscess under his jaw. The vet and techs were so sweet and caring throughout the entire process. They showed me how to administer the antibiotics and all the aftercare and walked me through every step. If I could put more than 5 stars I would! Thank you again!
