We have been trying to contact them repeatedly over our cats neuter we had done 5-6 months ago. He is fully grown now and has his balls fully grown in and is trying to mate with our new female cat (who just went into heat we are working on getting her fixed aswell) and keeps spraying all over the house. We've tried to call on three separate occasions first time we were sent to voice-mail 2nd and 3rd we got no answer. (We called during their hours) I've had male cats neutered before and they never behaved like this we are just trying to figure out what's going on but they will not pick up the phone. Spend your money elsewhere cause apparently if you run into a problem they will simply not pick up the phone. We will be taking him to another vet to see if they even actually neutered him properly.

Very thankful for this very caring group of people who go out of their way to make sure each animal has a safe, stable, healthy and loving home to go to.

Adopted the sweetest girl today. Process was easy and to the point. She had an awesome foster Mom. The thrift store is also great, lots of things for your doggo or catto. ????

The staff are wonderful!! The adoption facility was very clean and organized!!???? I did adopt a precious 2 year old pug mix. She is very well- behaved, house trained, spayed, fully vaccinated, tested negative for heartworms, and micro chipped. Kudos to SOHFGA❣❣

I took my cat to be neutered here, and I had quite a few questions and concerns about his care, but the staff was so incredibly kind and helpful with everything and they took great care of him. It is a very professional setting. I would definitely recommend this facility.

Support this amazing non-profit rescue organization. They have been in our community for more than a decade. Spay/Neuter, Jail dog program, adoption.

We adopted a beautiful lab-mix puppy (jingles) 2 weeks ago. Her foster mom Sandy is amazing - she took great care of her and gave her lots of love. Jingles is loving, sweet, so well adjusted, is fearless playing with our older lab and snuggles endlessly in our arms. Thank you Sandy and the SOHFGA!

I had an appointment in a couple of days to bring my dog in to be neutered and to get this shots and chip. Just to make sure I knew where you were as I had to have him there at 9am, I decided to check your place out first. It took me 3 trips in that area to find you and once I did, was very disappointed. Being President's Day you were closed but just peeking in the window changed my mind.about taking my dog there. You may be really good but I'll never know. It looks like a fly by night operation in a back allley.

This place is a very friendly and helpful place. Joan and the rest of the staff is very accommodating and kind. They helped and took care our baby (Raven-Spayed). You cant beat the price and the service. Thank you to everyone at SOHFGA. We appreciate you all.

My experience with Letha at this shelter has been incredibly poor. She has been disrespectful and rude, when I am attempting to adopt a dog. Instead of professionally answering my questions and concerns, she’s being short and telling me she has too much to do to assist me.

Today I took my cat Bud Ackerman to get neutered and get his shots, and I had a wonderful experience, they were very kind and followed all the proper social distance protocols, made my cat and I feel very safe! Thank you guys so much! Will need to come back for the chip next!

Took my cat here to get its shots and spayed, reasonably priced and cheapest I found. Will be returning for our puppy now. They also do meetups in a local church parking lot for routine vaccinations(dogs & cats) about ounce a month.

One of the most legit dog rescues that I've ever worked with. They do not allow the dogs and cats to go unless they've done background checks. I love the work they do and will always support them. Thank you ladies for all they do.

There is a strong possibility that I have found Stormy but the organization that posted about the cat who is identical to him in looks and personality refuse to help me. I can't even see this cat to rule out that it's Stormy. They are called Society of Humane Friends of GA (SOFHGA) located in Lawrenceville. Apparently the cat was caught in a trap with some ferel cats and when they took them to be neutered, they realized he was not ferel and contacted them. Not once did it state that he had to be neutered. They are saying he wasn't when he was picked up but I have a feeling he was. I have begged them to let me see the cat just to be sure but the lady (Letha) told me it is not my cat and it has been adopted. She told me that they will not speak to me again about this. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not one to back down when I feel I have been wronged and this lady has refused since Friday to even send so much as a picture of him other than the one i saw in the beginning. Be aware that these people have shown me that, in my opinion, they care nothing about the animals and it's only money they are interested in. I never even knew they existed and I cannot believe how heartless they are. I just don't understand why they are so quick to dismiss me and I pray nobody has to deal with them because they are far from humane. I have a good mind to post all the email exchanges between us so that everyone can see me pleading for just one look at the cat and how ugly and cruel this lady has been. Don't be surprised if I don't. Right now I'm waiting for the officer to call me tonight to discuss it with him. I'm just afraid that I have no rights to see the cat and I don't know what to do from this point. If they don't have anything to hide, why won't they have compassion and let me see this cat?!

Dennis and Joanne are the greatest. The sacrifice everything to help orphaned dogs and cats. The greatest they've done is they got with Gwinnett county sheriff Butch Conway and started operation second chance also known as the jail dogs program. This is where they partner rescue dogs with non violent inmates in jail. The foods get trained, the inmates learn a life lesson and it's too off donations and doesn't cost the taxpayers a penny!

Great place for to look for highly adoptable animals to be your new friend. Seems the animals here get adopted quickly. I was here for an hour and 2 puppies were adopted which is great. Very clean inside

This is where you need to find your fur baby. These good folks are one of the many rescue groups who help save so many lives and than re-home them. Please think of adopting a rescue pet when wanting a new pet!

Asked to see if they would adopt my two dogs. Read the website and they said they do. The lady who answered the phone was very rude, disrespectful, and made this business look like an idiot. Very unprofessional. Would not use this place.

I was told that a dog we were interested in had kennel cough and was not available to be adopted. I was contacted almost immediately after sending in my application to set up a meeting but due to a personal family emergency, was not able to call back until the next day. Needless to say, I felt the foster was overly pissed and instead of being honest just lied and gave us the run around about why we couldn’t meet her until suddenly she was sick. That’s really disappointing to hear SoHFGA. We were absolutely in love with her and I think about her all the time and wonder if her health was improving. It’s good to know that was all bull and the foster was using that as an excuse to blow me off. If you allow your fosters to lie, what else do y’all lie about? I’ll no longer consider adoption through this agency after seeing she was perfectly fine. They have now blocked me from their Facebook, deleted my comments and review, and refuse to acknowledge their wrong doings. Beware of SoHFGA because they have shown just how low they are willing to go and lie.
