Heritage Animal Hospital’s Veterinary specialist Dr. Kaitlin Iulo is a truly amazing person! She has such a radiant passion for what she does and she loves the animals she works with! She is so knowledgeable in her field! One of my dogs has a rare condition called Masticatory Myositis which is causing his skull and jaw muscles to deteriorate, which gives him constant headaches and makes it painful and difficult to chew. Very little is known about what causes it and how to treat it/slow it’s course. Dr. Iulo has been so helpful throughout the process of researching and getting a proper diagnosis for my dog. She even reached out to a medical Neurologist for additional insight to help us! Having a vet like her for my dogs is a wonderful feeling! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER and am thankful to have her help and support!

I have going to Heritage animal hospital for 12 year but when my dog was really sick and need care they told me they had no appointments and I could do a drop off service the next day... They are more than happy to take your money for yearly check ups and preventative care on their schedule but when a true emergency comes up they are unresponsive and uncaring... I will never go back there again.. and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone

We were on vacation and our Golden wasn't acting right. We brought him in and they did a sonogram his tummy and he had a tumor on his spleen. They were kind and caring.

We brought our elderly dog back to the beach for what we knew would be her last vacation. What we didn’t know was how quickly she would regress and this morning she was crying in pain. Unable to get an appointment we stopped in with our sweet girl full of tears and everyone took care of us. They were very professional and caring and made the end as peaceful as it could have been. Very thankful for this practice and the vet.

Dr. Latham is the BEST!! I've taken my fur babies to her since 2006. She has been nothing but helpful in good health, sickness, and when they passed away. She always returns my phone call, doesn't matter the time of day. I'm happy to say now I have a new fur baby named Bella who now sees Dr. Latham. Nothing but the BEST for my girl!

Very compassionate doctors and staff, and always available. One of the few places on the island with an emergency support 24/7. Love them

The greatest staff, the best facilities, and the most genuine love for your pet on the island (and beyond). They have always been there for us, through the good times and the sad times, and we would never consider taking our pups anywhere else!

This is one of the worst vets on Hilton head island South Carolina. Dr. Rebecca Latham misdiagnoses and talks down to you. Over $15,000 later at a real vet in Charleston and we discover she is 100% wrong and is why our dog is gone today. She is heartless and does not care about your pets. We are residents here and volunteer for dog rescues for over a decade. She is a soulless woman.

Brought my pet here and due to their utter negligence, he become tremendously worst. They did not care about his well being. He looked like a dollar sign to them. After misdiagnosis after misdiagnosis, I had enough and decided to take him elsewhere. He got the care he needed. Please spare your pet from this place. They do not know what they are doing.

Terrible place, terrible people the good vet left and now it’s a joke . Stay away .tried to tell the owner she wouldn’t even make time to talk to me. Don’t waste your time

I needed emergency service on a Sunday for my kitty while out of town. The vet personally answered the phone, got my kitty in as soon as she could, was warm and friendly, and went above and beyond to talk with us about another non urgent health issue. I’m so thankful. Highly recommend.

Our family's experience with the vet was good, and our dog has the necessary medication to get over a few low-level issues. However, as other reviewers have noted, the prices were high. The worst part of our visit was the vet technician, who repeatedly shamed us for following the advice of our vet back home. Every piece of information we shared about our pet's medical history was met with a scathing remark or judgement. It was upsetting to go in for a quick check-up and walk away feeling guilty about every decision we make for our dog's care.

First time using this vet service and was particularly surprised by how isolated the service is. I know there is concern about COVID, but this practice takes it to a big extreme. After they looked at our dog, got to talk to the vet via phone, but no personal contact. The receptionist (OR better started the person who answered the door) has no authority or capabilities other than getting your bill paid. I was asked to schedule a follow up appointment but could not do it in person. Was told to call for an appointment. I did that and had to leave a message for the dental technician. Over a week now and still waiting for a call back. I did a follow up call which goes to voice mail... go figure, more isolation. Their service is not cheap, but the way they do business is VERY strange.

Brought my 14 year old Yorkie for check up & update for all her immunizations. They took the best care of my baby.

Heritage was recommended to me while I was on vacation. My dog was acting out of the norm and had a nasty spot on his neck, so I called them and even though they were booked for the afternoon, they worked me in really quickly and gave my dog great care. Highly recommend.

Our dog Maggie became very sick during our month long stay in Hilton Head. They were able to get us in early and corrected her situation. They were ultra professional and very thorough and caring. Many thanks as we are heading back to Ohio with Maggie as spunky as ever.

Although good quality, avoid this place unless you have a lot of money. I have lived in Denver, Asheville NC area and there bills are twice as much as anyone else. Very disappointed. Concierge vets

The staff and Doctor Victor treat me and my pets like family. I have been to several veterianians on and off the island. Heritage Animal Hospital has by far been the most educated, professional, and loving place.

Far too overpriced. They looked after our cat well but don’t go here unless you are prepared to spend a ridiculous amount of money. Then after calling to ask when they can take my cats stitches out they said they refuse to do it. $750 dollars down and they can’t even finish a job. DO NOT GO HERE.

Our Yorkie started vomiting and having diarrhea one day into our vacation here. Late the second day, we contacted Heritage to get him to be seen. Dr Muller was wonderful!! Being from out of town, we did not feel taken advantage of. He did what he needed to do and got our doggie so much better! Even giving me his cell number if we didn’t see improvement quickly. Highly recommend!!

Would give ZERO stars if I could. If you love your pet, then please, find another vet. The only thing these people care about is your bank account, and it had better be big. We rescued a leukemia positive cat. When they started seeing him he was in renal failure. While treating him we asked about costs and were given no answers. We racked up a huge bill but figured, at least he's healthy now. They put him on a specific prescription diet to aid his kidney function and stressed the importance that he DOES NOT go without this food. While my parents are away for a month the cat came to stay with me, I live 3 hours away. His food is running out and we called the vet asking for them to email a copy of the script so I could go to the local vet and purchase a few cans to tide him over. They refused, saying he is two weeks overdue for his rabies vaccination and they want to see him and vaccinate him first. So, to clarify, they would rather his kidneys shut down again than to send the script because they want an ONLY INDOOR CAT to get his rabies shot first. a whole lotta good that vaccine is gonna do him if he's dead.

My dog accidentally swallowed Advil at 9pm. Desperate to try and find a 24hr hospital, I called their number even though they weren’t open, their automated machine gave me an emergency number. The vet met me at the hospital after hours and took such good care of my dog immediately! Thank you!

Dr. Davidson and staff were so wonderful and helpful, when our 12 yr old dog had a seizure, while we were on vacation. They took great care and gave her a thorough checkup. And helped put our minds at ease. Highly recommend!!

Words can not describe how grateful I am that my sweet JoJo spent his last hour of life with vets who made him feel at peace... This was my first time taking him to Heritage Animal Hospital and he was extremely sick by the time I brought …

There is no way to express the gratitude Bob and I have for the compassionate care our dog Ivan received at the expert hands of Dr. Davidson and staff. We were on a vacation here when our dog's emergency care was administered. Dr. Davidson in her wisdom helped us through one of the most difficult times loving pet owners ever face.
