Mud Puppy Dacula, Georgia

I've been coming to Mud Puppy for grooming a couple years now without any issues. This past time when I picked up my poor pup, his mouth was bleeding. They had cut his lip. They scrambled to wash it off and said it was nothing. A week later, he is still licking his lips weird and not eating normally. He also had a large cut in his back leg. We probably won't be coming back. ????

We have been using Mud Puppy for about 2 years now! They typically do a good job, however, today my sweet girl came back home with fleas! I called to inquire about the fleas and what will be done about it. The store owner got on the phone and immediately took defense without listening to a very loyal customer. She then accused me of being upset about the price of the service. Remember, we have been using their service for about 2 years, never questioned the price, and always tipped above the asking price for the groomer. For her to hint that I was upset over the price was upsetting at the least. If that was the case, we would not have been back there Morgan! Unfortunately, you have lost a paying and loyal customer to your business today because of the way you handle this. Even if the outcome was the same and you stood by your decision that she did not get fleas from your salon, you did not offer any sympathy or empathy for the customer. We have a choice of who we do business with and I am very surprise that in the state of the country today, you will treat a loyal paying customer that way. FYI, I would have been happy if you offered a flea collar and acted as if you cared!

Let my dog stay here while I was on vacation for a week and they took really good care my fur baby. Very communicative staff and also accommodating to any special needs your pup has.

This place is amazing and I would never go anywhere else. The owner is a blessing to the community and the rescue community of Gwinnett and Barrow. They are great with my senior dog, my semi feral dog and they love all my bully mixes!! Sometimes it is hard to find a wonderful groomer that works with the bully breeds but they love any and all dogs. This is a cage free environment so after they are groomed, they have a play area to hang out in. If you have a dog that may be a runner or an escape artist, please make them aware.

Mud puppy is my favorite place to take my dogs! I’ve been going here for years! The staff is so sweet and Morgan is awesome! Thank you guys for treating my fur babies so nicely.

I highly recommend Mud Puppy Groom and Board. Morgan has groomed my two doxies and even my cat! I don’t trust anyone else with them. She is loving and gentle with all animals and when we board our dogs, she treats them as if they are her own. The rest of the staff is very friendly as well and the shop is impeccably clean. Best groomers in the area hands down!

Our family dog has been missing since around 9 am Thursday January 7 2021 after being left in the care of Mud Puppy. This would have been his third groom with them. After leaving a 1star review, the business owner, in short, blamed us and was extremely unprofessional in her response instead of reprimanding the employee who made the error. Would not recommend! If anyone has seen a great pyrenees named Walker wandering around the woods near the facility please contact the local pounds- they have our personal information. Thank you!

Was not impressed...I really wanted this to be my new spot. I will have to keep looking. I gave them 2 stars because they did dremel his nails well and he smelled good but ears were still dirty they (and I verbally mentioned it at drop off). They were also very unorganized. I was standing there waiting and the front desk lady didn't even ask to help me. They bring my dog out and don't say anything to me. I had to go and look for his collar and leash. Also no hand sanitizer available at the front desk! Lets face it during these times there should be! Good thing I always carry my own. To Mud Puppy: Yes I am 100% sure it is your facility and location and the fact that you don't have my info is not a good sign and confirming my review. This was around the holidays which should not be a reason but maybe that is why? Who knows.

We absolutely love mud puppy! We just moved into the area and we’re recommend by a neighbor. We’ve been using the monthly diy service for a few months now and have an amazing experience every time. The young ladies who help in the front are so kind, sweet, and helpful. Absolutely amazing job to all the staff! Today we got our piper a full groom for the first tome and they did a SUPERB job, our piper came home so happy and clean. Thank you for taking care of our baby!

The Mod Dog owner told me about Mud Puppy. We take our pug and chihuahua there for nail trims. No appointment necessary and they are so good and gentle with our pups. Great staff! I live 30 minutes away but they are well worth the trip.

I get my dog's nails clipped and bathed here. Staff is always very friendly. My dog is not the best with getting things done, a bit of a temper. She always behaves for them for some reason. They're always excited to see her too! I Highly recommend going here.

So upset with my experience here. I took my dog in to get her nails trimmed. I tried to tell them she does best if I’m with her. They refused. They took her in the back. I heard her scream then she popped up at a gate with a muzzle on. She was so traumatized. Once we got in the car I saw blood all over my pants from where they clipped her too close. Never going back.

Owners are incredibly rude and not compassionate for their animals and the animals owners. I’ve seen how she talks and treats her own clients with dismissive behavior and I would NEVER allow any of my fur babies or anyone I know do any type of business with establishment. To give a little back story, they lost one of their clients dogs and then blamed the client for not training their dog to want to be around the owner and not notifying them that the dog likes to run. A dog, RUNNING! How bizarre! The dog is still missing and they could care less. Save yourself from any potential situation like this and stay away from this company.

Had a great experience and a very custom visit my not animal friendly doggie! Everyone was attentive to make sure she didn't interact with other dogs and felt safe. My pup had never been to a groomer and Morgan made her 1st experience a breeze! Thank you guys for making her spa day special! She looks and smells so good!

I’m from out of town and needed a grooming for my 4lb yorkie. I should have had her groomed before we left but let’s be real, sometimes you can’t get it all done before vacation. Mud Puppy got me in, did a great job, and were very professional. I’m a bit picky when it comes to my fur baby and was worried about using an unfamiliar groomer for my girl. I would have no hesitation recommending them to someone.

They did a great job grooming our puppy! They have younger staff there and the girls seems to really like working there.

Love this place! I have been going before the name change over 2ears ago. I can say that although the name changed the services and amenities are still great. The staff are truly animal lovers and will treat your fur baby with love and care. They have DIY deal that makes life easy for my pup and me. I pass countless groomer locations on my 20 mile trek to get there and it's worth it. ????????????????????

We called and we're delighted to find out they offer walk-in nail grind! We popped in and literally not even 3 minutes later my pup was done! They were very sweet and quick to do the job! Highly recommend!

Only place I trust for my dog. I’ve had her boarded there 3 times over vacation. They always take great care of her. Great people!
