Apalachee River Animal Hospital Dacula, Georgia

I brought in my cat Caesar on Monday after an unproductive visit at a different veterinary practice the day before. Apalachee River was kind enough to squeeze us in to their already packed schedule, and we ended up seeing Dr. Hughes. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable and understanding of all my concerns, but she would consistently inform me of how much everything would cost and asked for my permission before running any additional X-rays, blood work, etc. I ended up spending quite a bit at this facility, but this was due to my sweet boy having to be hospitalized for a day and my lack of pet insurance. I'm just glad that I was never charged for something I didn't approve of, since Dr. Hughes walked me through every single step of Caesar's treatment plan. I was also given the results to all his bloodwork and a full diagnostic report written by the vet herself, which included instructions for his medication and every single thing they did while Caesar was hospitalized. It was so detailed that she even wrote down what times he was fed every day! My fur baby is now back to his normal, loving and chatty self, and it's all thanks to Dr. Hughes and the rest of the Apalachee River team. We felt so cared for throughout our entire time there, and I take immense comfort in knowing that I can make "worried cat mom" calls in the middle of the day and have a nurse or Dr. Hughes herself get back to me very quickly. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Caesar and I! We will definitely be returning clients after this! Additional Notes: The exam rooms were very clean and cat-friendly! I noticed such cute cat-themed decor, Feli-way calming cat pheromones plugged into the wall, and white noise/relaxing music playing in the background. Everything to keep both a cat and a stressed out owner as calm as possible! The nurses, vet techs, and front desk staff were also very encouraging and kind, as I'm sure they could tell how freaked out I was, hahaha! Again, thank you so much! I cannot recommend this facility enough!!!

We needed to put our sweet shih tzu down and the staff was so caring. It's not an easy task, and I appreciate their love for my Sophie.

First time going to this vet. They are very professional, extremely courteous and affordable. They worked around my schedule, fit me in when it worked for me, allowed to leave and pickup my kid from school and come back and even emailed me a copy of the diagnosis so I wouldn't have to remember it all to tell my wife later. Definitely recommend and will use them again.

We love this place and use their vet and boarding services regularly. Dr. Randy and his staff are knowledgeable, caring and very attentive.

After taking my best friend here after he stayed for a week and came back home with a consistent cough who already has an enlarged heart, all Dr. Destiny did was prescribe him another medication that did nothing. That was a week ago. Tonight he died in my arms and had to be revived and is now at the emergency room at a hospital that actually cares about animals. All this place cares about is money, so if you actually care about your animal, DO NOT GO HERE.

The staff n Dr's are good the exam rooms are small tho so don't bring the whole fam. No terribly expensive. They don't try to sell u vaccine' or tests it pet doesn't need????

Awesome staff! Super friendly and handled my sphynx very well. They made her feel comfortable and she was purring up a storm and curious to explore our little exam room. Excited to continue to see these guys!

They were great. They treated my puppy very well. They were friendly and answered all of my many questions with patience.

This is the second time I’ve brought my lab to this facility. Both times I’ve left feeling as if my dog didn’t get the examination as I was told. Went in for bites/bumps and was told they took him to another room to examine for anymore bites/bumps. I was told he was good and sent on our way. I guess I should have gone over him again myself because the next morning I found a dead tick and more concerning bumps around his groin. All I ask is that if I’m told they will be examined more than they were in the room WITH me.. they actually do this. $340 dollars later I’m taking my dogs back to Dacula Animal hospital (where I usually take them) so I know my dog will get thoroughly checked out and at a reasonable price. They were all super nice I just felt as if they were more of an in and out place

I have nothing but positive things to say about this place!! Dr. Hughes was awesome and very detailed about my cats health and very open to letting me ask questions and listening to my concerns. The vet techs and front staff were very sweet as well. They made sure I knew what I was getting charged for and explained why things needed done so I do not feel like they added a bunch of unnecessary charges. They made me feel secure that my kitty was getting the best care! Also, they always follow up the next day or a few days after the visit to see how your pet is doing!! My kitty had his teeth cleaning here and again Dr. Hughes and her team were amazing ! They knew I was nervous and helped calm me down and explain any possible risks of the procedure. I would definitely recommend!! My cat did great with surgery and his recovery was speedy. He never seemed to be in much if any pain after having three teeth removed, they did a great job! So thankful for the amazing care from this office !!

Dr. Randy & Dr. Destiny are always so attentive and take time with my cats. I really appreciate their care with my babies. All of the staff are always very pleasant.

Best vet around. My questions are always answered and care is above and beyond. I have a geriatric cat with chronic health problems and Dr. Randy is always there to make her feel better. Not only are they attentive during the visit, but always give a follow up call to check on how my cat is doing.

Always stellar. Dr. Randy and his whole crew are spectacular. We always have the pleasure of having our pets cared for by Veronica and Dr. Randy or Dr. Coval. I cannot recommend them enough.

This home style vet office is the best! Very comforting and always make you feel like a priority. If they say you need something it’s true. If you don’t need something they never add any service to make more $$. Rest assured your pet is in great be care!

They are very good at social distancing.. Liked the fact that they had a phn number where u send them a txt msg.. the Dr was very knowledgeable of my baby's issue..
