They took excellent care of my dog

Been going here for so many years and today was so very Hard. We had to put our Pug down today and Dr. Friedricks and Doctor Linder are two Awesome people, not just Vets. They are great and will be frank with you and honest.

Took great care of my super anxious dog on the very first visit. After years of visits to other vets who couldn’t ever get a blood draw, these guys got it on first visit without meds and without freaking my pup out. The best!

Gentle treatment and care for our pets.

My husband & I have had animals our entire lives and we have used many vets depending on where we lived. Hickory Flat Animal Hospital is by far the BEST, most compassionate and caring team we’ve ever had. Our sweet border collie Bella recently (January 2021) had to have very large cysts surgically removed off her back and Dr. Fredricks was the vet who did surgery. He did the BEST job anyone could have possibly done; The entire process was difficult and scary but the 10 inch incision and the other smaller cut was precise, clean, and she healed perfectly! The ENTIRE team from the front of the house to the back was so kind, so compassionate, incredibly professional while helping my family deal with a very stressful and scary surgery for my sweet Bella. The very next morning after surgery Dr. Linder called to check on Bella & I told her Bella seemed to be very uncomfortable and in pain. She said to bring her right away and she injected her with pain meds so my sweet Bella was made comfortable once again. The front office staff called me throughout the week to check on her and they always took my calls with such care and love; they really listened to me! I simply can’t say enough to explain how truly wonderful they ALL were through it all! Dr. Fredricks even listened to me cry the morning of surgery to my financial crises as my husband is currently going through stage 4 melanoma treatment and 15 surgeries of his own. He was nothing but kind and compassionate, offering to help me with a payment plan, and putting my weary soul at ease to focus on Bella’s surgery that she needed so badly. Thank you Dr. Fredricks, thank you to the entire team at Hickory Flat Animal Hospital! They are truly Heaven sent, amazing people who will love and care for your sweet fur babies AND you as well! Thank God for this wonderful place! I will NEVER use another vet as long as they’re there and I recommend them to ALL families with furry family members! This is only 1 instance I’m describing, as they’ve been incredible every time I need them. Once I called them after 5:00 (after closing) with an emergency situation and they stayed to have Bella looked at! The list goes on & on. Please, please use them. I was surprise to see when the main Doctor (Dr. Fredericks) is not in the office the level of treatment goes down significantly, but the charges are the same as if the main doctor saw my dog. My dog have cherry eye and was told by the substitute doctor to wait for dog to get older and bigger; no age or weight was given. The main doctor locked at my dog folder and suggested that I take dog to an eye specialist to do the same surgery they do at this location. This location is only good to keep dog updated on shots and to have the nails clipped from time to time. That is it. Will not be bringing my dog back to that location

Always a great experience, excellent veterinarians, long term personable staff. We've used their services for 25+ hrs. Great people who love our pets as we do.

Fantastic doctors, friendly staff, very accommodating. My dogs love it there and so do I.

Dr. Partin made the time to examine my dog and get to know him prior to asking questions or reviewing his previous health files. Only then did we discuss his issues. I found this remarkable as she made a independent evaluation first. My dog went fro being an extremely sick dog to returning to a happy, frisky one.

I've taken my dogs here for decades. They're a great clinic with a wonderful staff. They recently treated a hot spot on my Caucasian Ovcharka and she's doing really well. Thanks!

They caught an error by my online pharmacy and I was able to fix it before my pup went without. It was above and beyond that they caught another companies error and gave me a call so I knew to do something. Thank you!!!

I highly suggest not taking your animals here they don’t know what they are talking about better off going to a specialist.

This is by far the best veterinarian I have ever been to. Everyone that works here is caring and understanding and will go the extra mile to help both you and your pet. I have been taking my pets here for 18 years and would not dream of going any place else. I have been there often lately with a very sick dog. Everyone in there knows the situation and always wants to know how he is doing. I don't think I could ever find another vet that has such a caring and wonderful staff - many of them have been there since I started going to HFAH. All 3 of the veterinarians are great so it doesn't matter which one you have an appointment with you will be very pleased with their professionalism and knowledge of veterinary science. They also know the best places to refer to around town and have helped us get specialty appointments really fast. If you are looking for a new vet or if you have just moved to the area you should make this your first choice for your pet's care.

I don’t even know where to begin this animal hospital is amazing the compassion, kindness, love that was given to me was the best expierence I had, from the front office to each and everyone staff member to the wonderful Veternarians the knowledge explained to me in detail the patience they took I can’t even begin to tell you within my heart how wonderful this place. I was experiencing an emergency situation with my dog, and my regular vet couldn’t fit me in quickly enough. I called Hickory Flat Animal Hospital in a panicked state, and they told me that I could come immediately. Dr. Linder was able to quickly diagnose the problem and treat effectively. I am so grateful for their concern, service and sense of urgency. I will be going here for any of my dog’s future needs.
