Our 4 dogs have been patients of Mars Hill for many years (10+). After numerous appointments, several surgeries, and questions that proved to be a genuine test of human patience, I would love to commend your employee, Cheryl Kinder on her commitment and professionalism to the patient families and service to the practice of Dr. Gross. I use this vet for boarding as well as vet services for my 2 year old rescue and they are kind patient and are so informative for vet visits.

This is the BEST vet I’ve ever been to and I’ve been going to vets for years. They came highly recommended and I’m glad I went. I had a new puppy and was looking for a new vet. From the front desk all the way to the back they were amazing! What are you waiting for? Go see them!

This is a nice facility with average service and is close by. However, the prices are double what we normally pay. For example, a $17 vaccination costs $34 at this clinic. An office visit at Mars Hill is $65, when we usually pay $30. In addition, the staff is trained to work at selling more services so their efforts to capture revenue resulted in us paying out a lot more than the same work at another traditional vet. That is just too much for routine vet care.

My cat got sick on a Thursday. I called first thing in the morning and they let me drop him off right then. He was there all day and they kept me updated by phone. We still didn't know what was going on with him, but he got better after some medication. They called Friday morning to check on him. Dr. Wellman called Friday evening after she was done with work to make sure he was ok. She arranged for me to get medication for the weekend and sent me all of his records by email in case we ended up at the emergency vet. Luckily, he continued to be back to normal. I feel they really cared about my cat and they did a great job of keeping me updated!

Dr Gross and the whole staff are THE best..they have taken the best care of my bulldog Pearl for the last 5 years since I’ve lived in the Athens area. Highly recommended!

Love them! I have been using them for 6 years and my boys love them. Everyone is so friendly and professional. I did have one issue with a new groomer while we were in the thick of COVID19 and staff was coming to the car to retrieve and return pets. The groomer who brought my dogs to the car, was very rude and also charged me for a service I didn't ask for. I just let it go because I was having health issues and didn't feel like dealing with it. Plus, one bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch! The Vets are top notch and the rest of the staff is amazing!

Had a great experience with this team. Drs are amazing. An emergency came in while I was there and everyone in the office responded to help the animal and it's person. Couldn't recommend any group more!

The Mars Hill Staff is always friendly and professional. Everyone is smiling and seem to genuinely care for their clients. We have boarded our cats here for years and are always confident they are well cared for. They also do the annual check ups and thoroughly explain their findings.

Love this vet! Our 13 year old yorkie started have some teeth issues so we called Mars Hill Animal Hospital and they were able to see him the next day. Dr. Wellman was fantastic. She knew our little loved one was suffering so she found a way to get him in the next day for dental surgery. They called right before the surgery to let us know how he was doing and then called after the surgery to let us know how he did. Took him back a week after for check up and they even called the next day to make sure he was still doing ok. Everyone working there that we met was so loving and caring. Highly recommend!

Mars Hill Animal Hospital is very helpful when figuring out my pets behavioral and physical issues. They helped my cat get on a healthier diet for his dietary needs. Great quality experience!

Probably the best Vet in the area. I cannot thank these people enough for what they do for all the little guys and girls out there in Athens and wherever they may come from. As long as I’m here I don’t think I’m going anywhere else. Thank you guys so much :)
