I called in the morning to schedule an appointment for my dog for an injury, and was able to secure an appointment that same afternoon. Even though the clinic was very busy that day, the staff still took incredibly good care of my dog and gave updates after he was evaluated by the Vet until he was released. I really appreciated their attentiveness and follow up!

I used Vernon Woods as my vet office for the 2 years I lived in Atlanta. They are honestly the best vet I have ever had in the last 12 years. Our primary vet was Dr. Fisher and she was amazing. On the couple of occasions that we had to visit one of the other doctors they were fantastic as well. I love that Dr. Fisher always outlined all of my options for medical care, cost estimates, and her recommendations without pressuring a decision one way or the other. I've had a couple of health scares with my pups are every time I felt I could fully trust Dr. Fisher to get to the bottom and give me all of my options. The front desk staff is also wonderful - always cheery, smiling, and ready to help. I wish I could have taken this whole office with me when I moved, and can only hope I find another vet as wonderful and trustworthy as Vernon Woods.

The staff who answer the phone are kind and wonderfully helpful when you call; the doctors and all the technicians truly listen to the feedback of their clients and provide solutions to your pet's health problems. When my dog had a weird reaction to sedation and had to be sedated for another procedure, the doctors listened to my feedback and adjusted the amount of sedative given to my dog and she had a much quicker recovery. Truly wonderful people working here and excellent medical care across the board. They are also observing excellent COVID-19 protocols right now and when things eventually return to normal I look forward to giving the entire staff a huge hug of appreciation.

Dr. Wen is the best with her compassion and knowledge. The staff has been great too. I feel my working dogs have great care at Vernon Woods.

Amazing experience! The staff was very helpful and personable. Doctor personally called to follow up on how our cat was feeling following visit/treatment. They were quick to get us in for an appointment (2 different times in the same week). 10/10 recommend!

The staff was super friendly right from the start. They took her in right away and within 10 minutes the vet called to fill me in and was so informative and answered all my questions. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Stay away from this place!!! Dr. Jones is extremely unprofessional! Complete waste of time and money... word for word Dr Jones said “he doesn’t care” if my pet comes back or not. 0/10 this place is a scam!!!

The staff are courteous, thorough, efficient & treat my kitties like what they are; queens!

Dr. Jones does not care about your animal and he will charge you at least $100 just for an “exam”. Please do NOT take your animal here. He will straight up tell you that he “does not care” about your animal.

The entire staff at Vernon Woods is unbelievable, but especially Dr. Wen. We got our first puppy back in December and I was terrified about taking my dog to the vet knowing that I couldn’t go inside with her due to the pandemic. A friend recommended Vernon Woods and we will be loyal customers for life. Dr. Wen is patient and kind - she answers all of my questions, and really cares about more than just my pup’s health. She always asks us how training is going, provides advice on any training challenges we are having, and just constantly tells us how sweet our puppy is (who can ever hear that too many times, am I right?!). The entire staff ADORES my dog and shockingly, the feeling is mutual!! Vernon Woods is so good that my dog actually gets excited to go - whenever we are within a mile, I swear she knows where we are and gets so eager. She is actually sad to get back in the car with me when it’s time to go, that’s how much she loves them! I can’t say enough great things about what a relief it has been to find a vet that we can trust, especially when we can’t go inside the office with our sweet new puppy. Seeing her come out happy, even after getting 4+ vaccines, tells me everything I need to know about Vernon Woods and Dr. Wen! You will not regret trusting them with your pet’s care.

My dog had a complication in healing from an injury and Dr. Fisher at Vernon Woods went right into action. She came in on her day off to do the surgery we needed, the staff re-arranged the days schedule to ensure this happened. They treated us like beings and showed they cared. They will have us as patients for life. I would highly recommend Vernon Woods and especially Dr. Fisher. Your pet will not be in better hands than with them.

The vet called me and addressed all my questions and concerns directly. He was very patient and helpful and communicative. I felt as if my fur babies were in excellent hands and they came out happy/un-scared! Truly appreciate them! Friendly staff- highly recommend!

I cannot speak highly enough about Vernon Woods Animal Hospital and especially, Dr. Jones. Dr. Jones is an amazing vet and has been so helpful to me and my pup! He is the kind of vet that makes a difference - he follows up to make sure everything is okay. If you have a pup you love - take them to Vernon Woods Animal Hospital!

We have been happy clients of Vernon Woods for well over 30 years, with all three of our dogs over that time - the ongoing friendly, involved, caring, competent attitude of the entire staff there is wonderful and keeps us coming back. Had a great first experience at Vernon Woods Animal Hospital. We just recently got a chocolate lab puppy and made an appointment to have her seen by Dr. Jones. The receptionist was incredibly friendly on the phone call when making our dog's appointment and talked me through how the 'curbside pickup' would go in the current environment. I called once I arrived to let them know I was there and they had someone come out to get her within 10 minutes (I showed up early). Dr. Jones called me while I sat in the car to get an introduction to our dog and to ask some initial questions. He then called back when her appointment was over and provided a lot of good information about her visit, things to think about, and next steps. I was also able to get many questions answered and he was so helpful. Looking forward to continue taking her here!

Always a good experience here. Dogs aren't supposed to enjoy going to the vet, but our pups go crazy with excitement once we arrive, which speaks volumes. Vets always take good care of the pups, and are really responsive and take time to answer questions. We tend to see Dr Wen, who is just great...professional, trustworthy, and always has great advice. The staff and groomers are always friendly and accommodating as well.

My vet had moved out of the area and I needed to find a new vet that I could trust with my maltese. He has had so many issues since I adopted him. From the moment I spoke with the person on the phone and meeting the vet and vet tech I knew this would be a good match. They took their time with us and explained everything. The office was clean and with ample parking.

We are extremely happy with our decision in choosing Vernon Woods Animal Hospital for our Havanese and mixed breed dogs. In addition, they do FANTASTIC grooming work and their staff is super friendly.

We came here for grooming recommended by friends. They gave our puppy vaccine shots which she doesn’t need at all without informing us and they were forcing us to pay for that. The communication with their management was very disappointed and I will never go back.

After experiencing carelessness and frustrating up-selling attempts from other veterinary clinics, I followed up on a recommendation to visit Vernon Woods for an issue with one of my pups, and I am so glad I did. Dr. Renfroe is the greatest. She cares about her patients and follows up to check their progress. She patiently talks through all options for treatment and is caring and candid when delivering her insight. I'm switching all four of my dogs to her care. The staff is knowledgeable, meticulous and helpful, and every interaction with them is delightful. Highly recommend!

I just can't say enough about Dr. Wen. She takes the time to cover everything, makes sure she answers every question, and makes it clear that's she's accessible if you have any questions or concerns later. The difference between the way my dogs behaved our first visit to the way they react to going to the vet now is night and day, and it's because they trust Dr. Wen and feel so much more at ease around her after getting to know her. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Wen to anyone in need of a competent, thorough, and highly professional veterinarian with a caring and calming "beside manner."

Love all of the doctors here. Drs. Empel (Sr. And Jr.) and Dr. Jones are my favorites, but you're in great hands here, no matter who you see.Update on 08/20: used Dr. Wen today for the first time, and she is superb also. I feel comfortable using any of the vets here!
