This vet is only in it to get money, I would t recommend this vet to anyone! I have a dog that’s been coming here for a year, and everytime I bring her they find a ways to add extra charges. My dog is gets excited when at the vet so they …

We have been coming to this vet for years and have never had an issue until today. Our dog gets super stressed and nervous going to the vet, this time we had to wait for over an hour. When the vet and tech finally came in, there was some confusion over what was being done for the visit and after my initial questioning the tech jumped in and said I was disrespecting the vet! They proceeded to explain that I had been rude and had an attitude…The rest of the visit was awful, I honestly wanted to leave without getting any services but did not want to put my dog through coming back again. I realize people are short staffed and it is tough times but waiting for an hour and then being told I was being disrespectful by just questioning what they were getting ready to perform in the visit was unbelievable. I am very disappointed and will not be returning.

Was a nervous wreck- cat hadn't eaten in days & my usual vet wasn't sure why. Dr. Maness quickly diagnosed the issue & Scout started eating within hours. The staff were all so caring.

Both of my older cats receive wonderful care from the team at VCA - Dr. Robatham and Dr. Gross in particular are extremely knowledgeable and also make sure you are well-informed to make the best decisions for your pet's health. Today the team there called the maker of a specific prescription food to ensure it would be appropriate for my cat's specific needs - I cannot say I've ever had a vet staff address my needs like that before.

I wanted to like this practice, but after a mediocre first visit (only vet to ever make me muzzle my dog during the visit) and a terrible second visit (checked in, waited 30 minutes past my appointment time with not a word said to me, and left), I will be finding a new vet.

Let me tell you, Everytime I call, everyone is so nice and if anything they remember my dogs!! Haha. Lauren is the best vet tech ever! She is so sweet and kind and just gets my dogs personalities and knows how to handle them. She doesn’t rush anything and takes her time when get the vital signs. She is personable and caring and it’s just really shows how much she loves animals and her job. Dr. Row was just so perfectly amazing and understanding and thorough. She didn’t make me feel rushed and she actually listened to me and my concerns. I love that! Because sometimes I feel rushed by the providers and they don’t hear out my concern. But Lauren and Dr. Row were just exceptional! The front desk is always so nice! I love talking to Christina and I forget the name of the others but they are also nice. One day Christina was with a client and the clients wife on the phone and they were so incredibly rude to her, cussing at her but Christina stayed professional and did not let their disgusting behavior effect her professionalism. She is a better person than me because that behavior is unacceptable. Anyways, I love this place and this hospital. Sometimes the wait is long but trust me when I say, it’s never on purpose because those people are always running around working. So be kind to this team! They are amazing people and they truly care.

We recently had an emergency with a newly adopted pet. The techs were very helpful and reassuring. Everytime we called to check in they gave us a complete report and patiently answered any questions we had. The veterinarians were so kind and thorough, ran all the labs necessary, hospitalized and monitored progress to make sure our little one was truly okay to come home. As soon as it was safe to bring our pet back, we got great instructions on home care. However, I won't mince words here: the bill was huge. Literally thousands. Medical services and emergency healthcare are expensive for everyone. So our only regret was not insuring our pet the day we signed the adoption papers (90% of the bill would have been covered). Please insure your pets and save for a rainy day!

I cannot express my gratitude to VCA enough. I came here in an emergency situation. My dog was distressed and I was terrified. The staff was fast, incredibly kind and walked through our options and plans clearly. When those plans took a quick turn they didn’t hesitate to care for her quickly. They also comforted me, and I left my baby overnight knowing she was in the best hands. They were so kind when I called many times to check on our dog. I never once felt like I was being an annoying mom. They were amazing. This is where to go in an emergency. Is it expensive? Sure. Was it what she needed? YES. I’m so very thankful.

My girlfriend took our Frenchie there on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised at how professional and courteous the staff was given the bad reviews. Nothing but good things to say about them even if we do think their slogan is a bit silly. Pets ain’t people. Anyway, thanks for your help! Our little friend is feeling better already!

This isn't my regular vet, but I've been twice now while my own was closed (and their corresponding emergency vet wouldn't see us, for some bizarre reason)—once last year with my cat, Romero, and once yesterday with my dog, Aloy. They've always understood the urgency, seen them as quick as possible, and been extremely thorough—I've never felt rushed. They were great with my dog yesterday and seemed to actually like their interactions with her (she's very enthusiastic, and sometimes even vet techs don't seem to like that!). I was really worried when I took her and after fluids, meds, and special food sent home with us, she's doing much better today. Can't thank them enough. Emergencies aren't cheap, but I feel they've been worth it both times.

Brought my cat for her annual vaccine and wellness checkup. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. The atmosphere was clean and inviting and Dr. Gross was so amazing to my cat. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a vet!

Always try to overcharge for services, consistently long wait times with poor communication among staff. Plenty of other much better vets out there so save yourself the hassle

I took a stray cat in at the last minute and they were SO great! I really appreciated how kind they were and they even sent me home with kitten food and a cat toy! So thoughtful would recommend them for anything! UPDATE: Still 5 stars! We had a stray kitten turn up and VCA was able to fit us in that day. They sent us home with tons of info, toys, food, flea prevention, the works. The sweet kitten ended up having chronic and untreatable anemia. The vet was amazing and gave us all the choices. When we decided that putting this tiny animal through anymore pain was unreasonable, she was incredibly supportive. It still brings tears to my eyes how understanding and helpful they were during such a difficult time.

would give zero stars if i could. brought my sick cat in only to spend $200 after they examined her for a mere two seconds and told me nothing was wrong with her, although there definitely is. called today (was on hold for 20 minutes) to ask more about it and all they said was to bring her in for another exam. why would i pay another $200 for nothing? all they care about is money. now i'm out $200 and still no answers about what's wrong with her. absolutely awful. please take your cats elsewhere. huge waste of time and money.

For years, I have trusted my pets to the care of the doctors and staff and VCA Pets are People Too, Ansley. Anyone who knows me knows that I am very protective of my fur babies and do not entrust them into the care of just anyone. VCA Ansley has been a consistent and trusted resource for me with my pets routine care and emergency care. Unfortunately, people who are satisfied with their service rarely write reviews so I wanted to take the time to acknowledge what a great place this is. The staff and doctors were very helpful to me when my 12 year old Yorkie passed away 2 years ago. He had a rare condition that had many believe that he would only live to about 6 months old but, with the excellent care provided at VCA Ansley, he lived 12 long and happy years! I recently made the decision to get another puppy and VCA Ansley was my first choice for his care, even with me now living farther away. One night, my new puppy made the intelligent decision to eat an earplug. Looked me right in my eyes when I told him to drop it and swallowed it instead! I immediately rushed him to VCA Ansley and realized that they were in the middle of a power outage! The staff met me outside to inform me that they had no power but, when I told them what was going on, they rushed my baby in and immediately induced vomiting…IN THE DARK! After a few minutes, my puppy vomited out the ear plug! I was so happy because I knew that he was too small to pass it regularly so this could have been life threatening. I am so appreciative to the doctor who treated my baby next to a lantern! And to the amazing technicians who assisted. Being one of the few vets left that are open late, I happily make the long drive to VCA Pets are People Too, Ansley for my new puppy’s care and will continue to as long as they are there. Thank you!

This vet SAVED my baby boy and me last Saturday! Saturday evening, my sweet puppy tried to jump up on the bed and his dew claw got wound in the sheet. In some kind of bizarre freak accident, his dew claw tore partially off. He was crying and bleeding, and I was full-on freaking out. I called several vets, and they were all closed, too busy, or had absurd wait times. I finally ended up calling VCA Vet and they were courteous, prompt, and very caring. They got us in after less than 20 minutes wait time and did a beautiful job with my puppy, doing what amounted to a minor surgery on the spot! Then, they gave us several prescriptions to take along to prevent infection and inflammation. My puppy is back on his feet, and he’s feeling better, so I am too! Thank you, VCA!

10/10 I can't say enough positive things about this place! They saved our sweet cat when she needed emergency surgery after deciding a tiny rubber kangaroo toy would be a great snack. It wasn't. But luckily the staff and doctors here are amazing and her life was spared. If she decides to do it again, I guess I know where we're going. Forever grateful and will always highly recommend.

I have been taking my dogs to another vet for many years, but in the past few visits, didn't feel like they were even trying anymore. However since my pets didn't have any problems it wasn't a big deal cuz I just needed to update vaccinations or preventative prescriptions. However, recently when my older dog began limping and losing appetite, I quickly realized I needed to change vets, as my current vet literally did not do any diagnostic tests, and basically just shrugged at me. So decided to go to VCA on Piedmont. I have to say the Dr I saw there immediately took my concerns and a history of my pet, and got to work. We left with a concrete plan of action and a series of diagnostic tests. The front staff and vet techs were all very nice and very caring. Dr Davis was exceptional. Thank you VCA! Will definitely be recommending this Vet Hospital to anyone I meet.

I recently brought my Yorkie into this location after exhibiting signs of pain. They were compassionate, and able to get him in right away. I was impressed with the doctor’s thoroughness and recommendations. I believe we’ve found our new vet!

They were extremely helpful when I had to take my 9 week kitten in due to a high fever. Though I could not afford the prices to hospitalize and test here, they helped me find an affordable option and did what they could with the money I had. They were extremely understanding as I sobbed in front of them and thankfully my little kitty seems a lot better today and will be going to get tests done.

I’ve been going to this practice for 5 years now and I guess I was surprised to see such low ratings and felt it necessary to share my many positive experiences. I have NEVER been let down by the staff here on every level from admitting to techs to doctors. I’ve come in with crazy feral cats, puppies found in dumpsters, euthanasia’s, many emergency’s, to my very own dogs, one of which is 15 years old and counting… then add covid on top of that…. These people never stop and I’ve never felt like I’ve received less than the best EVERY single time. They are 100% upfront with cost expectations and if they were a little high, I’ve actually heard them on the phone refunding the differences! Who does that these days? I’ve fallen in love with many of the doctors at VCA Ansley, most recently Dr. Howard and Dr. Dowell. I don’t have enough thank you’s for them and what we have been through the past 2 weeks. Most importantly, I have also overheard many of the calls that come into this clinic and let’s just say I make it a point to only rate exceptional service because so many people will go out of their way to bash an otherwise great business because of a single experience due to whatever other drama they had going on or just overall bitterness. I want to do my part here and give credit where credit is due. This practice is insanely busy at all times so it’s important to recognize that and appreciate what they are still able to accomplish everyday!

When they say Pets are People Too, they truly mean it. After witnessing my cat passing out in what I originally though was a stroke, their team exceeded every bar I could have set. After being turned away by my cat's vet and another ER during an incredibly stressful time, an entire team came rushing to Kyser's aid. They were attentive, they were communicative, & they showed urgency and care. In an instant, they have become my forever vet. Every single encounter I've had with their staff, the cardiologist and recommended pharmacist has outshone the years of previous care for my pets. Thank you so much!

My dog got very sick this week and was going downhill fast. I was so pleased with the care I received from everyone from the front desk to the Dr. in how they communicated and cared for me and my dog, Beau. They could not have been helpful or caring in a stressful situation. I am so pleased to have my dog home today after receive such outstanding care. I can't thank the team at VCA more.

This facility has done nothing short of traumatize me. I had an emergency tick situation with my dog and paid them to do a tick removal. Not only did I have to pay extravagant costs, I had to tell them about one they had missed and where it was even though they promised they “checked his entire body with a fine tooth comb”. I also found two more after I brought him home. Then a month later they get back to me and tell me he tested positive for heart worms and the treatment would be thousands of dollars, they told me this cost while laughing at something else on the phone. I went to a more professional vet that told me they’d charge only a quarter of the cost so I got him retested there and he was negative. The emotional duress and manipulation I have been put under is nothing short of criminal.

ABSOLUTE SCAM OF A VET. Went in to get ticks taken off my dog, they did a heart worm test when I was there. They didn’t get all the ticks off my dog when I was there. Called me with heartworm test results, and the person on the phone was laughing while giving me the news of my dog’s positive heartworm test. They quoted me $1700 in treatment. I took my dog to a different vet, and he came back negative for heart worms. Not only were they unprofessional, but they lied about my dog’s health to get more money from me. Overpriced and low quality.

My newly adopted cat Max all of a sudden had skin problems. Went to the emergency clinic. They were great and he is getting treatment now. So glad I got in quickly.

We love Dr. Howard! She truly treats my dog Basil as if he were her own. She's very proactive with any of his lab results and will go the extra mile to make sure Basil gets looked at and treated. The staff has always been nice and helpful--very easy to schedule appointments. Highly recommend Dr. Howard!!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I called at 9:30pm to bring my dog in for an emergency evaluation. Receptionist told me that the doctor was not accepting any new clients for the night because the doctor is leaving at 12am but this place is supposed to be 24/7. Also when informing him that it was an emergency he then proceeded to tell me to do a google search to find another hospital. All other hospitals near me are closed so what do these people expect me to do. They really don’t care about you or your pets. DO NOT GO HERE.

I took my cat here to treat an eye infection. The doctor and assistant were both kind and attentive- I felt like my concerns were actually heard, and wasn’t at all pressured to add on expensive treatments. No price gouging here. However VCA is quite expensive compared to other vets but they had an opening, so I rushed there! My main reason for leaving off 2 stars is the behavior of the receptionist/front desk staff. Literally ignore you until you walk right up to the desk, rude, and even talked smack about a delivery man who was leaving post at the time, within earshot of the clients in the lobby. Just doesn’t sit well with me. You’re a grown man, not a teenager..? Other than that I would go back! They even break down the costs for you before you have to go pay. It was a nice experience over all
