I don't think a vet has ever spent so much time addressing my questions and explaining things. They are very kind. Definitely worth the price!

The doctors and staff at Shoal Creek AC are amazing! I've worked at animal clinics and with an animal pharma company and have taken my pets to several other clinics. These people are the best! They truly care about me and my pets, and I'm so happy with every visit. Dr. Ellis is thorough and talks with me not down at me, which we all know some doctors can do. And Angie and the other staff and the vet techs are super nice and helpful!

This is my favorite vet in Athens! I take my cats to see Dr.Rich and I always feel informed about what is going on with my cats when I leave. They truly treat you like you are family here and all of the front staff and vet techs are wonderful to work with. If you are looking for a vet to take care of your pets as if they are your children, this is the place!!

I've been a client for years. Dr. Ellis is carrying on the great tradition of caring and personable vets. Angie and the front office staff are wonderful too. The Techs were so kind on my recent visit. I appreciate the conversation I had with Dr. Ellis. He answered my questions in an unhurried manner and was so kind. I know my pets are in good hands.

I have been a regular client of Dr Elder's for 12 years. I have had six dogs over that time period . Two sets of three with an overlap of one, my first rescue who lived to be nearly 17 and a half. Dr Elder is a considered and caring vet. The entire team takes its cue from him. Dr. Holly is an excellent addition to the practice. I have conferred with her over the phone when I had concerns about a heart medication. She allayed my fears. As a long term dog owner I recommend this practice! Since Dr. Elder left the practice and sold out to a corporation, I am no.longer a client there. This review was for when Dr. Elder ran the practice.

I have been taking my cats here for several years, and I have been very satisfied with their level of care.

We are newer clients who took our dog for her annual several months ago and had great service and took our cat today for her annual who can be a handful, and was very appreciative of the care and professionalism from Dr. Ellis and his staff who were also very polite and personable. Even though Oatie was being feisty and we did not get everything done today, we were able to schedule another appointment where we would be more prepared for her exam with some medication. First time visit to this vet clinic since moving into Athens and I could not be happier. Dr Ellis took so much time with my dogs. It was the most comprehensive exam they had undergone in quite some time. He was friendly. He spoke with me at great length regarding the changes my dogs were experiencing since moving from Salt Lake City to Georgia. The staff at the office was friendly and helpful. I felt 100% at ease here. They all practice social distancing and face masks are required if you enter the building or, if you prefer, they will allow curbside drop off for your pet. I feel comfortable and confident that I will enjoy and happy and long relationship with this veterinary practice. They are all top notch!

Shoal Creek Animal Clinic has served my pets (cats and dogs) for a few years now. From the very beginning, I have always had such a phenomenal experience with them. Firstly, they have handled COVID so respectfully and well with using curbside dropoff and pickup. Previous vets I have had there have left and moved on, but my current vet, Dr. Rich, is such a wonderful vet. He will talk to you about your pet for an entire hour if you keep asking him questions. He is so knowledgable and is obviously read-up on all the most recent research and literature on dogs and cats. They are also so fair with pricing - always so careful to explain pros and cons before doing procedures and giving you a giant bill. They also take Care Credit which helps with sick-pet costs immensely. Lastly, they are so accommodating and helpful when your pet needs to be seen in a pinch. You definitely get your money's worth. I would recommend them 100 times over!!

I am finding a new vet after 25 years with Shoal Creek. I have been loyal through numerous vets but the service with the new vets is absolutely appalling. I am still waiting- after 3 phone calls and a complaint- for someone to call me to schedule a spay for a puppy that is supposed to be under their care. Scheduling anything is a nightmare and always involves a staff member telling me how busy they are. So much for caring about loyal clients. I’m totally disgusted.

Our pets have been patients of this practice through three owners. The vets and staff are top notch, kind, responsive, and very capable, medically. I can sincerely say that many of our pets have lived longer lives due to the care they received from Shoal Creek. I recommend this practice very highly.

We recently moved back to Athens and were looking for a top-notch vet to care for our special needs pup, Leroy Brown and also our hound dog, Hash Brown. I cannot say enough good things about Shoal Creek. It’s rare that all the staff AND the doctors are fantastic in a vet office. We are met with friendly faces every time we come in, and we have never had a negative experience. The vet techs are so wonderful and gentle with my baby. We have been seen by both Dr. Holley and Dr. Elder. Both are incredible. They have spent so much time answering my questions and making sure all of our concerns are addressed. I’ve never met vets that will spend so much time with us, and I can’t express how thankful I am for that. I truly feel like my babies are getting the best care possible. Dr. Elder and Dr. Holley are both very knowledgeable, and they have been a huge advocate for us in deciding the best care for Leroy, when I have felt so overwhelmed. We love Shoal Creek!

I love Shoal Creek Animal Clinic. They are not as expensive as other vets and the appointments are quick. My 2 year old male cat was in and out in about fifteen minutes for his yearly check up and shots. The vets are all kind and I would recommend them to anyone.

My favorite vet! They always take great care of my cat, Gizmo. Dr. Holley is awesome! I love that they send out reminders when appointments are due and they make it very easy to reorder the flea medicine monthly or in bulk if needed. Highly recommend!!
