Good vet if you live in the area but Athens is full of good vets with the UGA vet school. We are spoiled with excellent choices all around. The vets have changed over the years, but the new ones seem knowledgeable just not as experienced as the old vets that have left. Pros: good staff, friendly. Great waiting room with a divider in the middle gives you and your pet some space from others. Negatives: very small and cramped exam rooms, the building shows its age. I've taken my dogs here for years and always received good care, from checkups to surgeries. I do recommend them and have confidence the newer vets will perform as well as the previous.

Always wonderful and caring like a great vet should be. We've had poor experiences elsewhere and are thankful we found Companion !

Up until today the service was fine. My puppy is having surgery and I needed proof of vaccinations so I called to request them while I was on my way there. The lady who answered the phone was rude and did not listen to anything I said. She replied by asking me questions to provide the same information I just gave her then asked unnecessary questions in a rude tone! I told her I was on my way there, when I got there she was on the phone but asked my was I here for records pick up I told her yes, she told me to wait even though she had already printed the records and they were on the desk next to her. Then when she gets off the phone she starts a conversation with another employee, continuing to ignore me. Another employee has to ask her about me then she picks up the copy of my pets records and hands them to me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I can’t stand employees who don’t have the knowledge of proper customer service. I canceled my puppies future appointments and I am finding another Vet. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE IS KEY & this lady was not it and I do not want to keep paying them my money and be treated like trash.

Always been there for us...even after relocation.

I was shamed for inquiring about getting a "likely pregnant, stray cat" spayed. I simply do not have the means to continue to care for all of the stray kittens in my neighborhood, so I felt the responsible thing to do would be to get the female strays fixed. The woman on the phone expressed obvious shock and discussed by my request and said "I don't think our doctors will do that! Hold on, I'll ask". I was then told that all of their appointments were booked up for "several weeks" and did not even entertain the possibility of me making any appointment at all. Meanwhile, straight puppies and kittens are starving to death because no one can care for them. Well done.

They are excellent people. My puppy recently got real sick, and they really made him feel a little better as of today. I would highly recommend them for your furry pets to anyone. Thanks so much you guys. Great job ????

Most of the staff is friendly. And they all take personal care for my animals. The blond doctor is very prickly. She can be very brutal. But the other two doctors are great and the staff is awesome

I have had multiple dogs that I have taken there and have always been completely satisfied with their staff and doctors. Dr. Navarro is absolutely AMAZING!!! She was so caring and compassionate to both me and my senior Chihuahua throughout his last year of life and as we had to put him down. The entire staff is so caring. My new fur baby loves them all as well. Best vets ever!

First time bringing my little Casper and he was so nervous but they had him so calm and happy he was giving them kisses when they came back from giving him his rabies shot and clipping his nails. They're truly amazing!!!!

Super nice team and they figured out what was wrong with my dog... (My original vet kept him in the hospital for 3 days and charged me $1200.00 and still did not diagnose him.) One visit to Companion Animal Hospital and Dr Weaver figured it out and prescribed the correct meds to get my little dog back to his old healthy self. Very pleased! I'm a customer for life!

I have brought multiple animals to the practice and they have always given my animals too knotch service and were able to accommodate us fairly and quickly with what few emergencies we have had. Doctors are very diligent in care and finding exactly what is wrong if able. Have even been able to give explanations of my dogs behavior and they were able to pinpoint it right then and there. The quality of care is unlike any other I’ve received and I can always tell how comfortable my dogs and cats are in their care which speaks volumes. The prices are so fair for the quality we’re receiving, it’s just very hard to put a price on quality care like what they give, but they do a great job at keeping it fair. Thanks again to the wonderful staff for always being so kind and accommodating to our needs and worries. We appreciate it.

Kind and caring service. They take plenty of time to go over everything, with no pressure to do more than I was ok with. You can tell they care about the animals.

I couldn't be more ecstatic about my visit here. I was visiting a vet that clearly only cared about the money, and would just try to give me quick fixes which were not healthy for my small dog in the long run. THIS VET LISTENS TO YOU!!! and truly cares and tries to fix the underlying issues. She not only educated me on the issue my baby has, she gave me options and CALLED A WEEK LATER TO CHECK ON HIM! Not to mention my dog is not nice to everyone, very protective of me.. but she knew how to act and what to do around him and kept him calm. I've never seen my Kermit act that well behaved in that setting. She is truly amazing. I don't trust easy but this is someone I trust!

Took yorkie, Duchess for here yearly check up & shots. Loved all the staff. Patient & attentive to Duchess.
