It's A Dog's Life Doggy Daycare & Resort Alpharetta, Georgia

I was really excited to take my labradoodle to your establishment yesterday 11/20 to get groomed. I dropped her off and filled out the paper work specifically letting the groomer know how I wanted her cut. I then received a call an hour later saying how she was matted on her chin and tail and legs and would have to be cut down. I know for sure (because I regularly bathe her that she was not matted). She may have had some tangles due to her running around and being a 1yr old puppy but she was not matted. Her hair wasn’t even over an inch long, so it was easier to maintain. When I picked up my dog I was shocked. It is the worst cut she’s ever received. Her entire face and body had been cut down to where she didn’t even look like my dog. For you guys to charge $100 for a groom and just take the easy route of shaving a dog down instead of taking time to groom and care for them is insane. I will be writing several reviews and telling everyone I know about my experience.

It’s A Dogs Life is the best place for my dogs in the Johns Creek area. With the expansive yard that my dogs can take advantage of to the pool that my boy Buddy can jump in they have it all. They also have professional groomers that will treat your dogs the best. If you’re new to the Johns Creek area and you’re in need of a place to take your pups, A Dog's Life is the best place to take them.

The first time I went, Aaron did a great job. So I brought back my little yorkie for another full groom and it was schedule for Aaron to find out that Aaron didn't do her groom but another person. I was totally disappoint in the trim, sanitary cut and she came back to me looking like chewbacca. What made it worst, I didn't know that Aaron didn't do the cut until I already gave tip and before I got a chance to take a look at the end results. This place is supposed to be high class service and they gave my little Yorkie a ghetto cut. I will never go back!

Our dog loves this place! We take him at least once a week for socializing. The staff takes excellent care of him and they are always friendly and warm. Highly recommend!

After the situation occurred, the owner reached out and handled it very well and took full responsibility for their mistake. She explained what happened and went back to view the cameras to assure my dog was safe. Regardless of whether my dog was safe or not (thankfully he is), my original request was not met but the reasoning behind why was explained to me. Although I’m not happy with it, I understand that mistakes happen and again, thankfully my dog is okay. Going forward, I still don’t think I will take my dog there because he is injured (personal preference, nothing to do with the center) but they definitely have my future business for my dogs in the future. Rather than taking my dog in the center, they offer in-home daycare and that is what I will be utilizing in the future. Overall, I do trust this facility and will continue recommend it to others.

Incredible customer service and pups are so safe and happy while they are there. We have always had a pleasant experience with staff and Terry, the owner! It’s important to remember there is always a risk when you take your pups anywhere to play with other dogs but at It’s a Dog’s Life, they have impressive safety protocols and are truly concerned about the well-being of their doggos.

Best grooming and boarding! I love that while my dog was staying there, they had a vet update her vaccinations. Super easy! Highly recommend:)

Good pet boarding, cameras to look on the dogs will be helpful

It’s a dogs life is the Montessori of dog daycare. Once you enter the front office, you’ll see that they do a great job keeping up the facility. It looks clean and smells clean! They have an indoor pool for pups, groomer and vet on site, and several indoor play yards for the pups. I appreciate that they always remember to return my dog with his lunch box and jacket. My only suggestion would be that the front restrooms need to be cleaned and restocked more often.

Never is my dog more excited than when we're arriving at It's a Dog's Life. I don't know what it is they're doing, but it's working.

Excellent facility. Clean, staff are awesome. Will continue to bring our dogs here in the future for daycare and boarding.

ETA: Kelly and her team did everything possible to make this right. I am most grateful for the swift and caring response. This is the second time we boarded our dog at this facility and our dog did not receive a bath before we picked him up, as requested. Ordinarily, this would be a minor issue, easily remedied, but after a 12 hour drive and calling 3 days in advance to ensure the bath was properly timed, it simply is not acceptable, especially with a $300+ price tag for boarding.

We came here after a few not great experiences at other daycares. I could not be more thrilled with It's A Dog's Life. They are always attentive and caring with our dog and she always comes home exhausted from her fun day. I love the photos they post every day from that days play session as well as the two themed days we've participated in.

This place it’s fantastic! Devin and the rest of the staff always made Simon (my yellow Lab) very happy.

I’ve been bringing my pup, Juno, here for almost a year. It’s clean and pretty big compared to the other daycares. Unfortunately, I will be moving to Buckhead so, I’m going to have to find a new doggy daycare. I would like to thank all the staff, however. Seeing my baby get so excited to go there just makes my day and I know I’m always leaving him in good hands. I’m so picky about where and with whom to leave him with, so trusting this place is a big deal!! Please please open a location in Buckhead soon so that we can continue to be customers! Until then, you better believe we will be coming back whenever we can. Update: We thought that when we moved to Buckhead, we wouldn’t be coming back so often. Ha!!! We were so wrong! While there were some doggy daycares here, they just didn’t compare to Its a Dogs Life. Juno wasn’t as happy and did not come home nearly as exhausted. It’s a Dogs Life truly is his Disney World and we are more than happy to make the long commute to keep our pupper happy and give this wonderful place our business!

Our pup goes in full body wags when we ask her if she wants to go to “school” (what we call daycare - ha!). Every single person at It’s a Dogs Life has treated our girl like their own. They really, truly care about the dogs here - would recommend it to anyone looking for loving, trustworthy people to watch after their pup.

It's a dog's life in johns creek is awesome. Everyone on the staff is extremely helpful and professional. Exactly the place I was hoping to find in this area for my dog. If you have day care/boarding needs in this area I can't recommend this crew highly enough.

I hate that this place is just not clean for my pup. As of late, whenever she comes back from doggy day care or boarding, she catches kennel cough or some symptom that she never has prior to boarding.
