The staff is so friendly and Dr. Strauss is so knowledgeable and willing to help. He went above and beyond for my hornbill, and has seen and treated multiple parrots of mine. Awesome vet!!

Most knowledgeable animal doctor I have ever encountered. I feel like with other vets I wasted time and money. My cat had issues that after 4 different doctor opinions got diagnosed at this clinic In less than 5 minutes. I will never take my animals anywhere else. My entire family trust this doctor with our little ones

If I could give them 10 stars I would! I took in Oreo, my new rabbit today to his first exam and boy am I impressed with this office. I was a bit worried with covid precautions I wouldn’t have the opportunity to get as much information as I would like as a new owner. The curbside process was flawless, everyone from the person picking up my bunny, to the office staff and doctor were exceptional. Dr Strauss took his time to explain all the ins and outs on how to best care for my new pet. In addition they are very upfront and reasonable with pricing. They made sure to call before performing any tests. I will most definitely continue bringing my bunny to this clinic!

Dr Strauss and his staff are the most caring and professional office you will find. We have been taking our little Min Pin Suzy there for 14 years... Sadly She passed away 4 weeks ago and the whole office was so kind and sympathetic. I would highly recommend them for any of your pets needs A special thank you to Dina for calling me today just to see how we were doing it meant so much to me???? Sincerely Anita Freitag

Dr. Strauss has been our vet from the beginning and was really great during this most difficult time.

A great place for your pets, animals are treated with love and respect at all times and the doctor always strives to make the best decision for your fur baby. The staff is incredible, very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended ;)

Dr. Strauss and his staff are always so kind and knowledgeable. They make me feel so comfortable leaving my babies in their care. I can tell that they truly care about their patients. The doctor always takes the time to thoroughly explain all test results and answers all questions patiently. I highly recommend.

I just took my dog to get grooming service and when I went to pick him up he was completely unrecognizable. They cut ALL of his hair off and left it looking patchy. When I called to ask why they had left my dog like that when I showed the groomer a picture of exactly how I wanted the cut; the woman whom answered me was utterly disrespectful saying “what do you want me to do” with a coarse tone. She then shifted the blame onto my dog saying that he is a very aggressive dog, when that is in every way false. Every other groomer I’ve taken him to, they all tell me how well behaved and sweet my dog is. It is my first and last time getting any kind of service from this place. It is not only unprofessional but also there is very poor service in regards to pet care and the employees are uncivil when talking to clients concerns. I do not recommend this place if you truly want the best care for your pet.

The first couple visits I will say they provided good but not great service. After building a relationship with the vet at this animal hospital I noticed that his level of sarcasm began to increase. Accusing my pup of very uncommon behavior just to refer me to a specific pet insurance, a pet trainer, specific products and a specific outside facility to provide "care" for my pet I couldn't help but to believe that I was being tossed around just to empty my pockets. I also noticed that the staff there seem to not care much after promising me follow up after follow ups. They're promised to follow up with me failed every time. I highly recommend for you to consider visiting this animal hospital. I am very unpleased with the accusations towards my pup and horrible recommendations made by the vets that work here that I will not mention here just to not escalate things. I am glad we made the decision to move on from this animal hospital and hope you guys can turn things around so nobody next will go through the horrible experience we went through.

I brought my guinea pig to give him a checkup. I was very nervous about this,( I am very protective), but it was a good visit. The doctor called me and talked me through everything. My guinea pig came back relaxed and he was very happy to see me. The prices were also very good. I highly recommend Weston Road Animal Hospital

My partner and I brought our pet rat in on May 29th 2020, a Friday. I thought he had a minor eye infection, but it turned out to be much worse---cancer, and we ultimately made the decision to euthanize him. Under Covid restrictions, we were unable to enter the establishment, which was understandable but heartbreaking to receive such news while in a parking lot outside the clinic. Along with treatment options, the vet also mentioned that the staff are not fans of rats but that our pet rat was very friendly. That could come off as a nice comment, but I found it unsettling and unprofessional to even mention that the majority of the staff disliked rats. Bug was returned to us in the car for us to say goodbye to him, and we were told to call when we were ready. While we were crying with our pet of 3 1/2 years, we were interrupted twice by staff knocking on the window to ask if we were ready. I was shocked by the insensitivity. To make things worse, we were told to expect a phone call in two weeks to pick up the remains. We waited two weeks, no call. We decided to be patient. Another week passed and I had to call. I was told, "Oh yes, his remains have been ready to pick up. Someone should have called you." Unprofessional and unreliable. The receptionist asked if I wanted the manager to give me a call back to discuss my complaints, so I gave my information. Of course I did not receive a call, so that is why I'm here. This has been a painful experience. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone with exotic pets. I'm uncertain if they treat cats and dogs the same way, but I would suggest caution. To receive such uncaring regard while dealing with the death of a pet and paying a bill of $300 is unacceptable.

I Highly recommend Weston Road Animal Hospital. Dr Strauss knows my puppy's breed very well. He recommended a particular behavioral training and more advice for the questions I had. He is very knowledgeable and his staff is great.

The staff at Weston Road Animal hospital treats our rescue dogs no differently than any other beloved pet. They love our big gentle giants and give them the best care. We are happy to have found an animal hospital that understands the importance of rescue and also has the knowledge needed to treat and keep giant breeds healthy. Thank you!

We were referred by Petland of Pembroke Pines. Brought our Australian Shepard in for a spay. Australian Shepards are usually high energy dogs. Dr. Strauss did the surgery and gave her inside stitches and surgical superglue on the outside only, knowing full well my dog is high energy. She never took her cone off and was never really interested in her scar anyway. She was still active but under Trazadone (prescribed by Dr. Strauss) so she was relatively calm. One night after going to the store, somehow, my dog got her stitches open (while being in her crate with her cone on). Her omentum was hanging out of her belly when we found her. We immediately called the doctor, who told us "put a wet cloth over it and call first thing in the morning". When we made it clear to him again that she had her insides OUT (which we had already explained previously in the call), he said "you're going to have to take her to the emergency room, good luck guys, hang in there". We took her and they gave her 3 layers of stitches $2400 after, what should've been done in the first place. We thought he was going to call first thing in the morning the next day but he didn't call until around 11am. His staff called a few days later to ask when we were going to schedule her follow up appointment post-surgery but they had no idea what had happened to my dog. Talk about HORRIBLE care, bedside manner and customer service. I know surgeries go wrong sometimes but to me, this was neglect and malpraxis. They did not even have the decency to call back and ask how my dog was doing. We're not coming back.

The staff here is great! They treat you and your pet like family. They use treats and praise to make the pets have the best experience possible. Unlike other places, these guys take their time and are gentle with all my animals. Especially my pet Skunk. Thanks Weston Road!

I was very happy with my visit to WRAH. I woke up to find that my parrot had been attacked outside overnight and was actively bleeding. I called and was seen right away. My parrot was treated and sent home with meds and instructions on how to continue care at home by a Vet that has the same kind of parrot. This gave me alot of comfort because he taught me things I didn't know as a parrot owner.

Very clean and staff is nice and welcoming. They treated my pet with lots of love, and gave me lots of personal advice to help me with taking care of him. He's gotten all of his vaccinations here, and we've never experienced a single issue. Definitely a safe and caring place to bring you pet.

Excellent vets, but not cheap. Thorough and gentle. Dr. Feldt will get you out fast, and Dr. Strauss will explain everything to you in as much detail as you want. The techs are great and the ladies up front are excellent at their jobs and love your pets! They handle birds & EXOTICS as well!!!

So I had a little hesitation giving them 3 vs 4 stars because the facility seemed good enough. The staff was nice, but there were some major missed moments in my experiences. The doctor, although informative, was there for 5 minutes and had an assistant finish the exam. A friend of mine told me she paid more than it was worth with her puppy and didn't want me to make the same mistake so I found another vet. When I called to ask to transfer my baby's records that's when I was told if I did I could void certain guidelines within my contract with Petland (a partner of this location.) I called around to find out that wasn't the case. I signed up for another program and I'm happy I did. I would take my experience with a grain of salt as I didn't actually get to utilize their services and they seemed to have someone regulars that really liked this location. Again the staff (outside of this particular case) was very nice.
