If I could give them no stars I would. Had an appointment to bring my 90 year old mother and her dog to see the doctor. When we got there, we saw a sign that said call when we get there and stay in the car. I thought well O.K because of the pandemic. They came out gave us some paperwork to fill out and said they'd be back. 45 minutes later after we stayed in the car idling as it was hot outside they finally came out and said they would take the dog in and then bring her back after the checkup or we could come in. We elected to come in as my mom is very attached to her dog. We got out of the car and they said only one of us could come in! I told the gentlemen that my mom would not remember anything the doctor says so that was why I came too. He went back in to check and came out and said NO only one person!!!! Well we should have been told that when she made the appointment or when we got there instead of making us wait 45 minutes in the heat. Bad way to do business..They seem very uncaring for there elders and we will not return there ever again...

We brought our Einstein in today for a checkup. Hes 14 and completely blind. Dr. Visser and her staff we very professional and personable with Einstein. She made him very comfortable while examining him. They held him like a baby and spoke softly to him as he normally doesn’t like the vet. Thank you all for being so nice. After the vet we treated Einstein to A taco from tacos Al Carbon lol.

Unfortunately I had a very poor experience this week with AES, and though this company is exceptional in the quality of the care that is delivered to the pets, the customer service delivered to their owners is extremely lacking, and I will never return and caution anyone else who uses this vet clinic. On Wednesday afternoon we had a scheduled appointment for 4:40p. We were traveling from Boca Raton (not around the corner) at 4pm when traffic on I-95 was starting to pick up. Knowing that we would be late to our appointment, I called, spoke to the office, and advised that we were running late, and was told it was fine. Unfortunately, we were later than we anticipated, due to traffic on I-95, and arrived right at 5pm, at which point we were told by the technician that the doctor had already left In fact she was leaving as we were arriving) the vet was closed, and we could call to reschedule. The technician was quite ambivalent and borderline rude in his delivery, and clearly did not care that we had traveled from 30 min away for the appointment, that had been scheduled since March. I understand that we were late. What I don't understand is why someone from the office would not call us to find out our ETA and let us know the the office was closing, when I had in fact made the effort to call them to let them know we were running late (and so clearly they knew we were on our way.) Even if they had called to tell us they would not be able to see us, we could at least have turned around. That would have been the very courteous thing to do, just like I was courteous to let the office know we were running late. If common courtesy is not an expectation that you have from your vet, or from any service provider for that matter, then this should not bother you. But if you are someone who strives to be courteous and professional, you will not be treated in kind by AES, so please proceed with caution. Thank you.

Our Boxer ended up with ulcers on his cornea (both eyes) at the same time! I used Dr Broader for my last Boxer rescue that had his eye removed for similar issue. Dr Castro has taken over where Dr Broader has moved out of state. The staff and Dr Carastro were phenomenal, professional, caring and did an excellent job taking care of Buddy! Thank you so much. Oh and Buddy completely healed!

The people and doctors are amazing. My wife brought our dog Harper in with eye issues and they were so kind, so caring. The doctor named Sue cared so much and worried for our dog. There were real issues with Harper maybe going blind in 1 eye but medicine we are giving provides us with hope. We go back Wednesday and pray for the best. They are great and can't say enough good things about entire staff and doctors. I am adding on to my original comments. Our dog Harper has had eye surgery and besides the doctors being so great there is one other person who stands out and that is Mark. He is just the best, taking our calls and explaining in such great detail what we can expect. He is patient and very understanding. He really is special.!!

I am giving 1 star because I am amazed that they still go on with this CURBSIDE NONSENSE even though everybody else got back to normal after pandemic. It seems they are too lazy to deal with people and don't want pet parents to be able to see them examine pets and ask questions. Next time I will go to a specialist who I can talk to face to face and see them examine my pet.

My sweet old lady dog was completely BLIND when I brought her in. I was devastated and so worried about her. I’ve had her since sh was 10 weeks old—she’s 15 now. My once agile, adventurous, wildly confident little dog was suddenly disoriented, clingy, staring at walls, falling… Dr. Carastro was able to treat the issue in one visit and my dog could SEE again! She did a laser treatment to remove scar tissue and gave us medications to help her heal, and a treatment regime to keep her eyes healthy for the rest of her years. She’s HERSELF again and I’m so grateful to have more good time on the clock with my girl.

Our Boston terrier had a growth on her eye that kept getting bigger. We brought her in once it seemed to bother her and with one treatment it's like it was never there. Thank you!

Dr. Carastro has done a great job at diagnosing and treating my dog's eye condition. I've received first-rate treatment in the office; however, it can take a few weeks to get an appointment. The reason I've deducted a star is due to the issue I encountered recently while trying to get a prescription called in to my local pharmacy from the Clinic. My local Pharmacy (CVS) stated they didn't have the Clinic in their system as a provider and needed a specific number to look up the Clinic. The Vet wouldn't provide the number to the Pharmacy, saying it wasn't required. This went on for about four days and caused delays in getting my dog his prescription refill. It ended with me driving back up to the Eye Clinic (approx. 20 miles) to buy the prescription from them directly because I wasn't going to let my dog's condition get worse while waiting. I'm not sure if the breakdown was on the Clinic side or the Pharmacy side; however, being the customer and having a pet that is reliant on the prescription, I feel both sides could have been more helpful in trying to find a resolution to ensure the continued well-being of my dog.

I wanted to write this review and hopefully my gratitude will come through for everyone that is feeling stressed or overwhelmed in regards to needing to visit the Animal Eye Specialty Clinic and not sure as to what to expect. December 2nd I was referred to this organization to have my 7 month old kitten looked at due to an eye infection. My first visit was December 5th. From this moment on is where my journey began. I was hesitant at first because I was notified that there is no "in person" visits and they would be taking care of my kitten without my presence. I would need to wait in the parking lot. I figured I had no other choice due to the fact that the eye was getting worse by the day. When I arrived and called to check in, the kindness, care, and patience on the other end of the phone just emanated from the concierge. Shortly thereafter a nurse came to the care, asked questions on how my kitten was doing and reassured me that everything was going to be ok. They told me that they already had all of my vet records and the doctor would be calling me soon to let me know what she found. In what seemed to be a mere few minutes, my kitten was returned and the doctor called me on the phone to go over her findings. I, myself, have NEVER experience this treatment in my entire life. The doctor, Dr. Wehrman, has such a kind and welcoming voice. I assure you, that you will need to here it to really understand. She explained every part of the exam and her findings. My kitten had an ulcer that was at the least to say concerning in depth. I had a regimen of medications to follow that I knew was going to be tough. But she felt confident that it was going to work. I was going back every week to two weeks for a check up, and every time I spoke to her, she gave me news, whether it was good, bad, a set back, or a slow move forward. There was a time that my kitten reinjured her eye during treatment and I had to call after hours and she called immediately back and guided me though what I should do. The next day they were able to get me in immediately . Although surgery was in a conversation she felt confident that she did not want to go down that road. She said "lets keep going with the eye drops" After all, who am I do say she is wrong? I came to her for help, she was the professional so I listened. Fast forward to 1/13/21, my kitten is totally healed of her ulcer!! No signs of it at all. Never once during all of my "crazy hysterical mom calls" did any one of the employees, nurses, or doctors make me feel like I had no right to worry, or did they ever make me feel as if I was bothering them. Now I read on here that the prices seemed to be high, I need to reiterate a few things for those that are hesitant. You all do know that you are going to a specialist right? If any one is reading this due to concerns, they are part of your family. This practice has to be the most professional group I have ever come across. They are now in my speed dial because I know, if I ever need them, they will be right there to guide me through. I apologize if I do not mention anyone's names but everyone knows who they are in that office. Just know, there has not been one person that has not been reassuring, kind, patient or caring when I called. KUDOS TO YOU ALL!!! By the way... LILO thanks you too!!! (the picture was BEFORE she was totally healed)
