Orchid Island Dog Spa & Resort Vero Beach, Florida

The staff was very professional. I received many photos and videos over the 10 day board. My dog was happy and well treated. Made a doggie friend. I am very happy with them.

New owners are wonderful! They were very polite and professional upon meeting them. They lifted the very unnecessary breed restrictions which is also amazing. My pittie/boxer mix was not allowed to come to orchid island dog spa for ANY services with the previous owners even though she is very well behaved and trained. It was heart breaking being told no just because of her breed. I also feel very secure leaving my dog here considering the new owners are also both veterinarians. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!!

This used to be a great place to bring your dog for grooming. They no longer do grooming, but will do a bath and nails. I thought that was great until they are requiring more vaccinations than what is typically required. I do the basics to keep my dog healthy along with heart worm, but I’m not willing to add influenza and have another fecal exam. I would also like to point out, the person that answers the phone and schedules appointments needs to learn customer service skills. I would not recommend this place.

Orchid island was one of my fav doc groomers until recently. Called three weeks ago several times and left messages with no response. Realized on the home page their number had changed (would’ve made sense to leave that on the VM on your old phone number). Found out our groomer Sue was no longer working there. Made an appointment with a Marcia. A few days later I received a call that my appointment had to be rescheduled due to marcias scheduling. Dropped my dog off at 9 this morning, by 11:30 after hearing nothing back I call the office to find out Marcia hasn’t shown up and no one working there had the sense to call me and let me know my 16 year old dog has been sitting their waiting. I pick up my dog with no explanations but a simple sorry. Well sorry doesn’t cut the fact that I’ve tried to get my dog groomed with you for three weeks now. Terrible Service and unprofessional.

Do NOT take your loved ones here!! Please read! I'll keep it short for my mental health . My dog is gone because of this place . He was not sick, he was not old . He was just a baby 1 1/2 years old and under there watch he was hit by a car. Our lives have been turned upset down. And our baby will be forever in our hearts . Here is a picture of our beautiful boy that was loved sooooo much and had the best life! Ps. It had taken me about 6 months to be able to speak out about it. But I want to make sure it does NOT happen again.

We were very happy with OIDS and their care of our dog. We were staying at a nearby hotel and needed a to board our dog at a place that could look after her day and night, due to medications and health issues. They were very helpful and loving and we could not be happier. If our travels take us back to the area we will be back. Highly recommend.

Have a new rescue dog with nails needing attention badly. They took her in very promptly and did a very nice job on her nails.

Marsha was so kind and gentle with my toy poodle. I am very particular as my dog has a collapsed trachea and its important to me that the groomer knows how to handle that. Cupcake looked amazing when she got done and she was a real mess when she went in. The woman at the front desk is so sweet and helpful. Great place! Highly recommend!!!!

I have taken my dog here three times, and I couldn't be more pleased with the job they have done. She is happy to go and looks great when I pick her up. I honestly picked this place from online reviews and I have to say I would recommend them 100%.

I've had my lab groomed here several times. This past weekend we boarded her there for the 1st time. Always a great experience for her and us! Thank you!

Our bernadoodle, Anabelle, loves coming in for her grooming. We are grateful for the caring atmosphere. She looks and smells good every time!

Sometimes, I have to go out of town and that is stressful enough, but I never have to worry about my dog. I know that she is being well taken care of and all of her special needs are met, plus, her grooming is always meticulous!!!! Everyone that works there is awesome, friendly and professional. They go out of their way to do a good job.

Our little Wilson looks so adorable after his grooming. Although the trimmimg around his eyes and butt were done better last time. He likely wiggled a lot and made it difficult.????????

Luke has been grooming my Sadie Lou for at least 6 grooms so far. We are just leaving the salon now and she looks amazing. He is so good with her and I’m extremely picky. I highly recommend. They follow all the guidelines for Covid which is so important.

After several trials and failures of groomers for our fur baby, a female Labradoodle, I was recommended to Orchid IslandDog Spa. Thankfully, I have found the perfect combination that works for us and keeps us coming back. Here are a few of the reasons... Our ‘Bailey’ is excited and happy when I drive up to their facility. I believe that is a strong statement in its self. Clean, clean, clean and smells good as soon as you open the door. Friendly staff who are full of smiles, helpful at check-in/out. Timely reminders via txt/email of upcoming appointments. They won’t let you forget the date. Mostly, best groomers I have found! Labradoodles are a difficult bred to cut. There is a specific look, cut style, that maintains a fluffy, rag-a-muffin, combing out the dreads, yet maintaining softness. Many of the groomers I came upon in the past shave the coat. Orchid spends the extra time needed to get beautiful results. Overall, my experience is a ‘10’ Orchid Island Dog Spa receives an A+ from me and Miss B:)

We love the folks at Orchid Island Dog Spa! (So does Sadie, our doxy mix rescue.) They treat Sadie like part of the family who has been missed when not there. They learn the personalities of the pups who visit, those who get along well with others or don’t, those who like to snuggle or don’t. In addition, the facility is certified as a shelter in case of hurricane or other emergencies, so I know it is a safe place.

The only place in town I trust to watch my dogs while I’m out of town. My dogs always come back exhausted from playing all day at Orchid Island! They are very expensive, but worth it considering the amount of interaction they have with the dogs and you get peace of mind of knowing they won’t just be crated all day. One negative is that they post a lot of pictures of the other dogs they’re watching on Facebook, but don’t respond to Facebook messages or phone calls to check in on your dog when you have been away for a while.

Our Golden Retriever went for her very first spa day here. She came home looking wonderful and happy. Her coat was silkier than I have ever felt it! She had a trim of her nails and the fur on her paws and belly and it came out wonderfully. The team there was fantastic and our dog even went back for extra pets before leaving. I appreciated the precautions due to COVID19. They did car side pickup and drop off for our dog and we did not have to enter the building. They wore masks when we saw them and offered to take payments over the phone. We would absolutely go again and recommend it!

Horrible company and the owners are worse! Unprofessional as can be and the employees are terrible and rude. Stay away!

Probably the best grooming experience we’ve ever had with our 5 year old Saint Berdoodle, Oscar. We have tried many groomers in the area and have been on the receiving side of getting back a dog that looked like (among other things) a rat, a Beagle and a French Poodle, not a doodle. Luke did a fantastic job and the staff is first rate!
