My cat died a day later after bringing him here. No diagnosis, just antibiotics. I feel so guilty for trusting this veterinarian with my precious cat's life. Do not go here. No idea where all the positive reviews came from. Seriously. Listen to me. This place is a joke. And my 4 year old cat is dead.

This vet cares more of helping the animals rather than question how many you have. He is very good with animals.

This place is amazing. The doctor goes above and beyond. He don't just care for your pet. He also cares about the owners. Great place.

Super cool vet! Affordable and great healer! They took care of my 7 yr old cat and got her healed from an ear infection in less than 2 weeks! I'm definitely going to use again if needed!

Dr. Roy is very knowledgeable and although we have moved an hour away, we still make the drive to have him take care of our pet.

We had an emergency and our regular vet was too busy and could not see our pet right away... blue pearl was further away so we called Avalon since it is right in the neighborhood. the Veterinarian was able to see us right away and we were in and out in 20-25 minutes. Dr. Roy weighed her in order to get the right dosage amount and then gave our pet 2 injections, 1 antihistamine and 1 anti nausea injection and sent us home with pill forms of both medications. It was only $160 and we even got a $10 discount for some reason, so $150 after the discount... $40 for the office visit, $40 for each injection and then $20 for each take home medicine

We came across a stray dog and took him to Avalon Animal Hospital where we found out he had heartworms and a liver problem but thanks to Doctor Roy he's doing great and his name is Jaxson

I honestly would not believe a single negative review written about this place. I called Friday because my cat had an eye infection that wasn't clearing up on its own. I was afraid because I noticed blood and they got me in the next morning. When we arrived the doctor and his nurse got me in quick with no wait. He asked me what was going on and he did a quick exam, looking over my cat. He did ask me to hold the cat steady when he flushed the cat's eye but I didn't mind that I think it's smart. An animal will be more comfortable handled by its owner and I wanted to be involved to keep my cat calm. Anyway, the doctor informed me that it was an eye infection, prescribed antibiotic eyedrops, gave my cat a rabies shot, and got me checked out in a span of 35 minutes. He was quick, efficient, kind, and gentle with my cat, even remarked how calm and well behaved my cat was. The prices are very affordable and both the doctor and his wife were warm and kind. I will be taking all three of my pets here from now on. So glad I found a reliable vet in my new neighborhood!

Very mediocre and superficial exam. He and staff seemed scared of cat. No bloodwork. No sedation to allow proper exam. Needed me to help control animal. Walked away mid exam. Never really tried to look in mouth. Poor English skills to boot. This guy is burned out and poorly trained. Be warned: this place is cheap for a reason. And I’m almost certain he has paid bots and fakes for the positive reviews.

First of all, Dr. Tellekamp at Kindness Animal Hospital has been my vet for over 40 years. Measuring up to that cat expert was going to be hard for a new vet to do. Dr. T passed away this year. My big 17 lb. boy Freddie Purrcury stopped eating and drinking one morning so I took him to Avalon. Dr. Roy ran blood work and found he had pancreatitis, a blood disease and kidney failure. He was a street cat I brought in to live, no idea he was so sick. He gave me no clue. Bottom line, Freddie could not recover from the damage done after years on the street and Dr. Roy had to euthanize him for us. He shaved his arm and gave him a sedative first, just as Dr. T always did. He was compassionate and kind and apologized to my boy that he had to end his life. He rubbed his head and was so gentle with him while he was passing. When Freddie was "gone" Dr. Roy left the room so I could say my last goodbye. I have a new vet now for my tribe of 6 furbabies (cats). I have great confidence in and respect for Dr. Roy and his staff. They were as concerned about me as they were for Freddie.

No nonsense, straight to the point, and no price gouging. You can tell they really actually care about the animals they help.

He was hard to understand but he did a full exam including blood work but didn't tell me what he thought it might be though. On the bill he referred me for a sonogram but never said a word to me. I could have missed on the bill because the price was good.

My dog was brutal attack by a pitbull may 29, I took him to emergency vet and they tried to charge me $2700. I didn't have the money so they sent me packing. My Jojo needed surgery and meds, well I found out about this place through an associate. But I had to wait till Monday to get my dog treated. With lots of prayer my dog made it to Monday and was immediately treated for his wounds at $620. The vet was so caring and took care of my Jojo right away. He had his surgery and was allowed to go home the same day. I have a follow up visit Friday. I'm so grateful for to this man and he has a customer for like. He's prices are hard to beat and he truly care about his practice. He will be my Jojo's primary vet from now on. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a vet with integrity, both in thuer practice and thier prices.

I am really impressed with my experience at this vet. They were quick, efficient and reasonably priced. Much better than other vets I’ve seen in the area that have the tendency to upsell and price gouge. I will continue to give them my business as I feel they are honest and genuinely caring. Thank you.

I was charged $40 for a first time client visit and the doctor never examined or touched the dog and sold me medication that I could buy on the internet. Very disappointed. I don't have $40 to give away.

Dr Roy has great prices and there's usually only a very short wait. Walk-ins are welcome. And oh my God I cannot say more good things about dr. Roy. He is shy and doesn't talk a lot, but what a huge heart for my cat. We were fighting …

A bit expensive but worth it. My dog gets flea dermatitis every year and he gets a shot, 2 prescriptions and gets his nails clipped. The vet worked quickly and said my 13 year old big buddy was in good shape for his age. The doc is a little hard to understand but he is top notch.
