This is the best vet's office. The Dr is very knowledgeable and compassionate. Always willing to help and offer solutions whenever possible. His staff is the friendliest vet staff I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. If I could post more that 5 stars I would.

Dr. Shelter, Christine and all the staff are amazing! We had an incredible experience with very compassionate and personalized care. Don’t let curbside service deter you from a vet visit. Dr. Shelter comes out to your car to review the results and recommendations. He and the staff make sure all of your questions are answered, and they even go out of their way to provide additional resources. Their fees are very reasonable and they don’t nickel & dime you like other vets. I can’t say enough positive about this animal hospital and highly recommend it if you are seeking care for your furr babies! Thank you Sunrise Animal Hospital!

The staff at Sunrise Animal Hospital is wonderful!! Doctor Shetler is caring and patient - taking the time to explain everything and talk with me regarding my pet's health issues. They had the perfect "hands off" solution to pet care during this corona pandemic while still providing the care and concern that I have experienced in the past. I highly recommend Doctor Shetler and his staff at the Sunrise Animal Hospital for your pet's medical needs!!

I have a somewhat "difficult" dog that most vets don't want to deal with. Although my dog is trained and was trained by a very good trainer in South Florida, he still displays protective behavior. My dog absolutely does not like needles or anyone bringing their hand that he doesn't know close to his face. My dog is one of those that once he gets to know you he is fine but previous vets didn't want to bother with even that. Dr. Shetler and his team were recommended to me by a good friend so I gave him a shot. I could not have been more pleased not to mention extremely impressed by how well Dr. Shetler treated my dog as his own, was able to calm him and how extremely patient and informative he was. The staff was also amazing with him.and all together they make one amazing team. I live in Coconut Creek and I have no problem driving to Sunrise for his vet visits.

I was recommended to Dr. Shelter by a neighbor after recently moving to Plantation. I have to say he takes his time and goes above and beyond to help. I would recommend 100 percent!

The doctor here is excellent he believes in treating animals before running a million expensive tests. He has saved my kitty.

terrible service last week left me and my puppy out in the cold rain called and had an appointment but was never told they were closed then when they did come out a half hour late they said i should reschedule never will come back here found better vet that was open and more friendly and less expensive

Everyone who works there has been incredibly friendly and professional. Even with COVID-19, Doctor Shetler comes out in the hot Florida heat and makes sure to update you, talk about any issues, explain any treatment, etc. I really appreciate him and his staff!

Dr Shetler, his wife, and the staff always take the time out of their day to make sure that your loved one and you are taken care of. They recommended a medication for my dog which no other vet had recommended and it’s done wonders for his allergies. The doctor always takes his time to explain the who, what, where, why, and how’s to his best knowledge, I greatly appreciate that. Highly recommended.

Dr. Jonathan saved my kittens life a year ago. She was found abandoned in a park near death covered in ticks and he and his team nursed her back to health and gave me the tools and knowledge to care for such a young kitten. She is 1 year old now and thriving. His team genuinely cares and gets to know you and your animals. This place is about the animals- and it shows.

Today was my first experience at Sunrise Animal Hospital. A friend of mine recommended Dr Shetler as I am unhappy with my previous vet. I can’t say enough good things. This place felt so Mom and Pop which I loved. You’re not just another patient they rush in and out. The doctor spent so much time with my pet and I and was so personable. He didn’t run unnecessary tests and when I checked out I didn’t owe hundreds upon hundreds like I always did at my previous vet. I had a great experience and this is definitely my new place!

Dr. Shelter is the greatest. True animal lover who is very knowledgeable. I drive a long way passing many other animal hospitals and vets to see him and his staff. Been using him for years now.
