Partridge Animal Hospital St. Petersburg, Florida

This animal hospital is by far the best vet in the Tampa Bay Area. I would travel from north Tampa down to here solely because every technician and vet in this facility genuinely cares about you and your pet and will do all that they can to make sure everything will work out. My cat unfortunately needed surgery last night due to emergency circumstances, but the only surgeons available were at expensive vet ERs, that realistically I can’t afford out of pocket even with care credit and Scratchpay. Fortunately, Krista, the vet technician that day, helped me out immensely. She managed to get the off duty surgeon in to perform the surgery on my cat and for that I will be forever thankful to both of them. Everyone here is amazing and they’ll always find the root cause of the issue in your pet. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is a little uncertain over where to go, especially since fur babies are a big, important part of our lives. They’ll take care of your fur babies here and work with you so that everything goes smoothly. 100/10 stars if I could <3

An AMAZING clinic, words can not describe the hard work that goes down behind the scenes. The love that every Tech and Dr. Shows to each and every pet is authentic as if it were their own pets <3 it was because of Partridge that I was able to adopt my orange tabby cat named MANGO WHITECLAW. An outstanding clinic for sure.

This is a great place!!! Staff was super friendly!! Kathryn Maitre, DVM is excellent! Very thorough and to the point. Riley was anxious to be there but any dog would be. Again, the staff eased her as much as possible. It was just a really good experience and that others care as much for my doggo as I do. Highly recommend if you're looking for a vet!!

Deceptive practice and overcharges. Clearly riding on Dr Partridge's previous reputation. I was given a quote prior to making the appointment for the services I was going in for. I clarified the services when I arrived (shot and license renewal). They then had me pay in the exam room without a receipt (which I had to ask for). When it arrived, there was a full vet visit (annual wellness charge) on it. Had I knew that was going to be there, I would have went elsewhere -which is why I asked for a quote to begin with. Or, at least I would have made sure that my dog got the full wellness exam that I was charged for. This is not the first time that I had a surprise on my bill. Last time I found that I had been charged for a case of food that I didn't get. Be honest with your customers up front. Also show the bill to your customers before making them pay -like every other vet. You can only ride on the late Dr Partridge's coat tails for so long before before your current practices catch up to you. Edited to add that they did call me back and did a partial credit to my bill for half the exam. Still, I could have saved over $100 and went to animal services for the shot and license.

Wonderful staff and really care about your pets

When we moved to St Pete a year and a half ago we knew we needed to find a good vet for our one dog at the time and Partridge has been amazing for now both our pups! Always in great spirits and informative when I have questions or concerns.

Returns of medications purchased through the website need manager approval becuase theu are "3rd party". At any normal business things purchased from your own website should be able to be returned without hassle.

I was referred by my vet for an ultrasound with Dr. Lander's and was very happy with the whole experience. Everyone there was very professional and I felt comfortable with all the staff. Dr. Lander's took the time to make sure I understand the whole process and went over previous blood work results explaining and interpretating the results.

We recently got a new dog and where looking for a vet when a friend recommended Partridge to us. We could not be happier with how our first appointment with them went. All the staff was super nice and you can tell they really care about the animal. They where super patient with us while we asked 6,002 questions .

There are many clinics I could have chosen when I moved to the St Pete area, but I chose Partridge Animal Hospital because it was close to my house. Most people may not choose to select a vet that way, but once I made the phone call, I knew I made the right decision. The staff has been exceptional with their customer service and information. The vet tech staff is always attentive and listens to what I have to say and answers my questions. The past 2 years my girls have seen Dr. George and he is fantastic! I'm glad he chose to practice at this facility! He represents Dr. Partridge's legacy well.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. From the time I walked in with my dog until I left with her 4 days later, the staff, doctors, and service were great. Dr. Maitre and Dr. Tieslink were thorough, informative, and had no problems answering my many questions. The other staff members were all great and it’s obvious they care for the animals they work with. What I liked most was that I was allowed to visit and stay as long as I wanted. The after-hours techs sent photos and updates every 8 hours, which was wonderful and a big relief. The prices were also more than fair and they are up front about the costs. They do not order unnecessary tests and they are sensitive to keeping your costs for care reasonable. Bottom line, I HIGHLY recommend PAH for routine care, hospitalization, or whatever your pet may need. They’ve earned a loyal customer with me.

I was hoping to find a new Veterinarian as mine has recently retired. I liked that Partridge is still seeing pet parents in person. Sadly however the person answering the phone here has no interest in what might be happening with your pet nor are they even TRYING to make an appointment for you. The owner of this practice is doing themselves a disservice. If your new business seems slow. That's the reason. Might want to listen in at the front desk.

Please don't let positive reviews to fool you. This used to be a great hospital, not anymore. Nice staff being trained to squeeze the highest amount possible from every unfortunate pet owner that walks through the door. The late Dr.Partridge was real veterinarian, not about niceties, but actual knowledge and care. Such disappointment and I'm leaving in search for real, caring vet.

Unfortunately this place has completely changed since the passing of Dr. Partridge. Goal is as many clients as possible with as many doctors as the facility can hold. They are extremely expensive and want to do surgery for everything. Never see the same doctor...different instructions from different doctors...never get a diagnosis. Doctors never return calls. Charge double for medications. You can't build a relationship like that...pet is just a dollar sign. The staff is very nice and the lobby is clean.

I love this place! They are there whenever my pups need them. I have had an emergency situation where they immediately saw one of my dogs and took exceptional care of him. They are very reasonably priced, professional, and their love of animals shows!
