Camp Salty Dog is great! My dog has been going here for 4 years and loves it. The prices are relatively cheap compared to others. Max is my favorite employee because my dog gets super excited to see him and Max always provides an update of what my dog did all day. My dog is a boxer pit bull mix and goes in the big dog splay area.

This is Tanks favorite place. I have a high maintenance rottweiler and I get nervous bringing him to boarding, but they understand him and love him and I'm so comfortable leaving him!

Had to visit aging parents in Midwest and didn't feel taking a 9 mo Labrador would be good idea with unsteady parents. So we arranged to leave "Bosco" at Camp Salty Dog while we were away on our 2 week road trip. HE DIDN'T WANNA COME HOME!! He was well cared for by Travis Hess and staff. Lots of time to run outside in large enclosed play areas with other camp guest...HE LOVED IT ! (I think he meet a red haired girlfriend, but he wont say much bout it.) Will use Camp Salty Dog anytime we need daycare or overnight stays for Bosco !! Very reasonable rates and your "baby" will be well cared for!!

My boyfriend and I drove down to St.Pete to visit family. We brought our fur babies along with us and had planned on boarding them at Camp Salty Dog. This is a great establishment & you can tell that the staff are true dog lovers. Our 2 labs had a blast and they seemed to truly love their experience there, with the staff, and the other dogs. Our pups played so hard that they were exhausted and slept the whole ride home to NC. I would highly recommend this place for daycare or boarding. You won’t be disappointed!

I love this place. The staff is very friendly and they remember my dog almost 6 months after boarding him. Its the most affordable place to board your dog in a cage free environment at only 30$ a day where they have plenty of friends to hang out with. Additionally it is one of the very few that do not charge extra for anything with the day camp included. My dog had so much fun last time he did not want to come home.

I will not go back to this place to board my dogs. We were out of the country for 9 days. When I picked up both of my puppies, they were vomiting and had diarrhea. The staff stated that they did not notice anything unusual. After an expensive trip to the vet's office, both dogs were diagnosed with Giardia from drinking old/standing water. Although the employees are friendly, they obviously do not maintain clean facilities with fresh drinking water for the pets or monitor the yard to ensure there are not hazards like standing water. I contacted them to let them know in case other dogs were ill and to clean out all of their water bowls and check for standing water.

I've been happy with the care they have provided my dog. He seems to enjoy his overnight stays. They are also reasonably priced which is a plus.

Our dogs came home extremely dehydrated, their poop was hard, they were shaking and non responsive for a good hour. We have left our dogs with groomers and other people before but they have never came home in such a state before

I have had my dog Roscoe at Camp Salty Dog very many times over the last 7 years. He has always been well taken care of every time! He comes home tired every time from all the play time with his friends. All of the staff know Roscoe, and I can't say enough good about his treatment at Camp Salty Dog!

Very friendly and they take good care of the dogs, when you visit you can see them playing with each other. You do have to pay with check or cash so visit the ATM before you pick up your dogs!

Cheap, barking dogs, very hairy floor hasn't been swept in weeks. Dogs were not prisoners but petting zoo quarters would be more like it. My dog didn't want to stay. 30 bucks a night. I think that's cheap. Maybe not. I think my dog thought it was hell but he likes people more than dogs.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO THIS PLACE. My 18 lb. dog was hurt on 26th so badly he required surgery to remove a piece of wood that got embedded in his chest from being at the facility for only 4 hours. I gave the facility all the paperwork from the vets office including my Dr. Business Card (the Vet wanted to talk to them) NOTHING... 9 documented calls to Salty Dog and 2 visits and the owner refused to talk with me let alone help me with the bill. The worker i spoke to said "He does this all the time...He blows people off" speaking of the owner (TRAVIS HESS). Do NOT take your dog to this place. The play environment is unsafe. Do your research.

My dog was attacked while in their care. He was left in a room by himself until I arrived. I was not notified of any attack and noticed him acting weird and saw his jaw was clearly broken. He had to have surgery and remove teeth to correct the issue. Camp Salty dog has still yet to pay me for my expenses on his treatment. The main issue is that they are either unexperianced or not mindful, I had filled out the forms to take him to a vet in case of emergency. If this wasn't an emergency, I don't want to know what is. Go somewhere else and protect your dog!

Terrible place, do not board or daycate your pet hear. Boarded my dog ive had for 6 years & she was injured on the mouth & infested with ticks-which she has never had an issue with from any of the many places she has been & boarded atCalled …

After being a regular customer for three years I was not happy with our latest experience and how it was handled by the staff. Both of our dogs came home from day care with ticks and when I called to notify them of the problem the answer I got was yes there have been some problems with other dogs. After having both dogs treated at our vet and groomer and having our house and yard also treated I decided that I would still take our dogs there for day care since I was told that they have been spraying for ticks and both dogs really love it there. Two months later I did board both dogs for five days. When I dropped them off I reminded them that the brace our male wears on his leg must be removed at night. I was assured that his would happen. I even wrote this down along with his feeding instructions. When I picked them up five days later he did not have his brace on. When I asked where it was the girl there said we took it off today because it stinks.. When I got home and realized that his leg was already infected and turning green I took him to the vet and the vet agreed that the brace was probably left on the entire time. Luckily it was only five days or he probably would have lost his leg. When I presented this vet bill to the owner the answer he gave me was I am sorry. I was not asked what can I do to make this right since you have been a customer here for three years. My dogs no longer go there and have found somewhere else where they are properly taken care of.

My mutt Annie has stayed a couple of nights on two different occasions. Both times she had a bath just prior to us picking her up. She comes home and sleeps like a baby. She is very sociable and likes to play with the other dogs, which she gets her fill of. I have had zero issues with the people I have dealt with. They have all been friendly and appear to be dog lovers. They seem to like her and based upon her reaction when we took her there the other day, she likes them as well and couldn't wait to get in with the other dogs. I can only think that the couple of unfavorable reports from a year ago helped the staff make any necessary changes. It has been all positive so far with us.

This place was selling Christmas trees when we showed up. There was 1 person on staff when we dropped off our dog. The facility was dirty and smelled. When we picked up our dog he was in a pin but his bed and toy were back in some completey different area. They do not take debit/credit cards for payment and gave no receipt. If you love your dog avoid this place at all costs! Our dog had a case of colitis after staying here.

DOG OWNERS BEWARE…I boarded my dog here for two days. When I went to picked her up they gave her to me sopping wet with urine all over her fur. I was stunned. I said to the woman “um..she is covered in urine”, at which point the woman …

Took my dog here for boarding over Christmas because my usual place (Love My Dog) was full. The place seems to have good facilities, but lack some in professionalism. They didn't take any kind of ID when I was dropping my dog off, just had me fill out a basic form. They gave me a card for me to check up on him, which was nice, but other places offer courtesy calls. They didn't require any sort of bathing which you have to pay for at Love My Dog, that was nice. When I went to pick him up, I found out they don't take credit card, say wha? They were nice enough and let me take my dog to the bank before I paid them. My bill was written down on a yellow legal pad, with what looked liked others. The bill ended up being cheaper than expected which was nice. To make change once I got back from the bank, they actually asked one of the guys working there if he had a dollar. The folks seem nice enough but could benefit from some organization.
