In February of 2019, my Golden Retriever, Honey, was not acting like herself. I took her to Dr. Chad and he told me to immediately take her to Capital Specialty Hospital. She was diagnosed with a blood clot in her heart. With medications, she was given a 50/50 chance. After a week on the meds I noticed her breathing was becoming more labored. I took her back to the specialist and they confirmed that the meds were not working as they hoped. As a last ditch effort, I allowed them to drain the fluid that was accumulating and making it harder for Honey to breathe. Another week went by and the writing was on the wall. I called Dr. Chad and he was open to come to my home and let Honey peacefully cross the rainbow bridge. Since then, my son and daughter-in-law take their baby, Jethro to them and my sister/son’s stepmom takes her dog, Diesel, to them. Diesel is a German Shepherd and, after his dad passed away, is very attached to Cheryl and his previous vet would muzzle him to attend to him. Jethro also has anxiety going to the vet and at first when he met the vet assistant, Eric, who happens to be a black man, Jethro was aggressively skittish. Now, both dogs run to him and wag their tails. I took Diesel to them today for daycare and Eric brought Diesel out to my car. Diesel was wagging his tail and happy to see me, but Eric patted him and said see you Wednesday buddy, as Diesel will be going back for day care. It’s important to have a vet and their staff that you feel confident with and believe that when they are treating your pet, they are treating them as if it was their pet/family. I’m also fortunate to know that Dr. Brittney gives assistance to the horses of HorsePlay Therapy Center. God gave me another special Golden Retriever after Honey passed. He’s not my Honey girl, but he’s a very special boy and, yes, he a patient of Dr. Chad and Dr. Brittney. He loves Jessica and Eric. He’s a whimpy boy and pee pees his way in the door because he’s so happy to see them. This is the place you want to entrust the care if your baby!

They took excellent care of my little girl on her first teeth cleaning. They are in the process of building a new building, which I hope makes parking a little easier, and a little more organized when all if finished.

We had an emergency with our dog. He's an old dog now almost 18 yrs old. We called 5 or 6 different clinics or vet "hospitals" and all of them said they,re booked and can't help us. We were just stunned how no one would help us. I finally called Southeast Veterinary and they saw us within the hour. Spoke with Grace on the phone who was super kind. Doctor Garcia fixed up our old pup in no time. Dr. Garcia and The entire staff are fantastic. I would recommend them 100%. If you have an emergency or any issues definitely give them a call.

My senior yellow lab has been going here for her annuals and skin issues for a couple years, and they have always been so nice and helpful. Eric is really sweet when handling her and explaining what the Vet recommends. Plus they take CareCredit. I recommend them to all. :)

Jynx is and only will go to get a good service!! Dr Timberlake did a ear sergury and it was amazingly done and healed well! My dog has pancreatis at the moment but GARCIA IS AWESOME!! EVEN USED THE NO MUZZLthat is crazy only vet that he can walk out of and be okay!!!!! I can't say enough about the the good people they are! All theppl that from you get there till leave are great! Pricing was awesome for ultrasound and xray! They even had food prescribed and he loved it! Only half a can a day twice- like doggy

I recently moved to this area and Southeast Veterinary has become my go to vet. I have 4 animals and the level of care and value we're getting is so much better than what I've experienced at other vets in the past. The staff genuinely cares about our pets and have been very patient and knowledgeable when answering our questions. Can't recommend enough!

Dr. Garcia and the staff here were wonderful with my rescued pitbull, Charlie. They clearly care about their patients and could not have been kinder to us. We were in Augustine on vacation when Charlie got bit by something in the backyard of our Airbnb and broke out in severe hives all over his body. I called and was turned away by 3 other veterinarians before finding Southeast Veterinary Hospital. They treated it as an emergency, got us in the same day and gave him medication that cleared up the hives. We are so thankful for their care and kindness! ❤

The Staff is Amazing Always. My little guy got sick & diarrheaed in the waiting room. I was asking for paper towels to clean-up. They would not let me. I tried again & they ushered me into our room. I felt bad, but they told me not to worry. Made us comfortable.

Always enjoy coming here knowing my fur babies will be taken care of. Excellent service and very patient with my nervous Great Dane. Had an incident with one of my rescues that needed to be seen emergently and everyone was very efficient and professional.

Our beloved family dog had gotten some terrible news regarding a large tumor on her leg. Other vets had told us she was a candidate for euthanasia, at the very least amputation. I am pleased to report that after a tumor removal surgery at SEVC that she has all four legs and a new lease on life. She is healthier than she has ever been, it was truly a miracle. The surgeon and vet at this clinic, along with the support staff, make an incredible team. We are forever grateful for their kindness and skill.

A couple of years ago we had an emergency with our Doberman. Sadly we had to put her down but Southeast Vet was very compassionate and understand. We came back this year bc our Cat was peeing blood. They let us come in right away and ran all test necessary for treatment. Everyone has been so nice and compassionate. Highly recommend if your in search for a vet.
