My dog was literally dying in my arms they weren’t open

It was a Sunday and I was devastated to have to bring my 15 year old cat in for end of life. ???? Dr. George treated us as though we were old friends and he had known Lilly, my cat and I for years. He was truly sympathetic and honest about the procedure. I felt that my dear cat was being trusted into loving hands. I hope to never go through that again but am glad to know that Dr. George and the rest of the Highland group are there. In addition, the girl (sorry I don't remember her name) who first answered the phone at 7am was very caring and remembered (!!!) my name and situation when I called back two hours later. Thank you for making an awful time survivable. ❤️ I can only say yet again that this office is incredible. Today my cat, this time 17 year old Smokey and I were treated with the greatest kindness with another end of life visit . I am so very grateful to today's staff, each one was sympathetic to my misery and were all very kind. Thank you ❤️

Very good with cats. Some other places I gone are not very nice to cats ????

I used to work here, be careful! you think your animals are being taken care of because the “vets” put on a good front but once they take your baby to the back, they are manhandled, mistreated. kicked, tackled just to get laughs or make them submissive. pay attention to your pet. body language is everything. i will post a pic of what dr george left of a patient in the cage because he was over taking care of him. but the minute the family showed up he had him bathed and ready to euthanize. keep also in mind this patient came in to board and due to lack of care the patient never made it out of the hospital. this is the day i quit. he also has a dog in the back as a science experiment… for your pets sake stay away from this hospital. go on indeed and read the comments of past employees. ***Just a update i am seeing employees giving 5 stars to boost their ratings and they are offering discounts at the office if you give a good review*** If you love your pet, stay away from this establishment, trust me.

They really care about the animals. I took my cat there and they took awesome care of him. He had to have surgery and they cared for him like he belonged to them!!

Look no further for outstanding care for your pet. Dr. George and his staff will treat your pet with the same care you give to your fur-family members. They all understand your concern and worries. Love them all.

Brought my brothers dog there in emergency as advised by his vet in Vero. They acted nonchalant, put us in small room, and never checked on us

I called to get some information, and they were very pleasant and helpful. I have never brought an animal here, though, so this review is based only on a phone call. However, based on that phone call, I would consider bringing my pets here for treatment.

This place is fantastic! They are a very caring bunch of people. All the staff we have dealt with are amazing, especially Dr Alison Frankenberger and Dr Stacy Wapner. We are fortunate to be able to take our pets to them for treatment!

I’d like to that dr George and his staff for helping my lil Pete have a great experience. He had 7 teeth extracted ! The techs are so caring and you can tell how much they love the animals. Love you guys

I have a pet rat so finding a vet that will take care of her needs can be difficult. The staff here is amazing. She had surgery and everything went great and she recovered super quick. Would definitely recommend!!!

Wow this place is amazing! Our dog was playing in the yard when he came in limping and whining a lot I was thinking he broke his paw or something! Being that it was late in the evening I was frantically trying to find a place that was open at 8pm! Finally after a few phone calls I found this place, the receptionist was super sweet and told me to bring my dog right away . When I met Dr George I was a mess, my dog is my child so if he hurts I hurt. He took such good care of Milo and I honestly never seen a vet that not only show concern for the animal but for the human too !!! He even called me the day after to check on Milo ❤️ Love this Dr ! love and his staff !

Everyone is always so nice and helpful here. It's a little pricey but well worth it!

Update: Highlands did eventually come to terms with COVID and started using much more care. They do offer good service and very long hours seven days a week. The staff is always very friendly.

Very clean facility, very friendly and welcoming staff and very kind to Miso. Hopefully he finds a good home.

Nice staff, helpful. Really appreciate the hours they are there. Convenient due to work hours to ensure my fuel babies can be seen when necessary. The two drs I have seen have been good.

The best Veterinarian we ever been to and knows how to handle animals whether they are calm or aggressive, when they are feeling their worse or happy. Thank you all so much for caring and looking out for our fur babies. Dr. George has also been such a great wonderful Doctor, he treat us like family. Dr. Kramer as well, having such a calming way to make sure we feel comfortable. Wish you guys were closer. Yet we love you guys so much, we drive to see you from Orlando. AGAIN! THANK YOU!

If you need a new Vet for your pet !!! This IS where you want to go.... After our Vet of 30 yrs passed away I thought I would never find another Vet that I would have sooo much confidence in, that was until we were referred to Dr Frankenburger & Dr Kramer... Every employee & staff are just the greatest. Highlands Animal Hospital is now our family's Vet, & it should be yours too...
