Meg worked with our puppy and us and she taught her from a list we provided. We boarded her while she was learning and I think it was the best choice for us. Gracie, our dog, is a better behaved dog. We’d do it again!

We took our 19 week old GSP to Meg for her 2 week puppy boot camp. Before training, she was out of control!! She jumped on everyone/everything, chewed on furniture and didn’t listen at all. We were desperate for help! We reached out to Meg and instantly knew how qualified and experienced she was. She did an amazing job training our Piper. She updated us daily and is very passionate about what she does. Piper is a completely different dog now. We were shocked when we went to pick her up and will continue to use her training methods. We are so thankful for Meg!!

Meg was outstanding! She definitely knows what she is doing... After some hesitation because we weren’t too sure about sending her away for a couple weeks we sent her our 6 month old Goldendoodle Willow for training. She was there for 2 1/2 weeks and we have seen tremendous progress almost like we had a complete different dog! She consistently kept us updated and sent us pictures of Willow to let us know she was doing good and was happy! If we had any questions she was very responsive and was so cooperative. She helped us with everything we were struggling with! If you are hesitating or looking for a trainer send her to Meg she is fantastic! We will definitely use her in the future for boarding!

We highly recommend Meg and Positively Simple Dog Training. In a state of despair over not being able to train our 4-month-old puppy, we sent her away to Positively Simple Dog Training “puppy boot camp“. After 2 weeks, Zoē was well on her way to being housebroken, had calm down and was socializing with other dogs. Most importantly, now that Zoē is back home, Meg has continued to follow up with us via emails and phone calls. She is most understanding, supportive and provides on-going suggestions and encouragement when the challenges of puppy training cause us to become disheartened.

So very happy with this dog training! My pups responded well, and Meg took plenty of time with us. She curtailed her training to our needs and worked well with our dog who is older and has some special needs. I am so very impressed! When our current issues were addressed the trainer did not try to keep coming and instead let us know that we had it under control, and that we were welcome to call her again if needed. I loved that we didn't feel taken advantage of. Well worth the money we spent.

Meg was amazing. She helped our Kota and Aspen so much even after one visit. We did our homework and have seen drastic improvements day by day. She made herself available to us whenever we need her, and I am so thrilled to have someone who cares about our animals as much as we do. Thank you!

My wife and I were very pleased with Meg and her Positively Simple Dog Training. We had been to other training classes with our new puppy and the emphasis had been on negative reinforcement, a choke collar etc. Meg's positive reinforcement approach with an emphasis on "food luring" was refreshing and despite some initial skepticism on my part, our puppy responded very well and surprisingly quickly. Meg provides not only hands-on guidance during the class but also useful reading material that reinforces her training technique. We highly recommend Meg and her training program.

The quality of training and individual interaction is incomparable. We’re seniors and after many months of trying to train Cotton, our Bichon puppy we decided that we needed help. We’d tried group training lessons at a training center and having a trainer come to our house for private training, but we couldn’t cope with the follow through necessary to make it work. Meg was the answer. From our first phone conversation it was clear that she’s an experienced pro and that training while boarding would be the best solution. She sent us a comprehensive worksheet that would give her information both about Cotton and our expectations. The change in Cotton’s behavior has been amazing, she responds to our commands and is a pleasure to live with. I used to worry whenever I left town and unable to take my dog with me as he would get separation anxiety and become depressed and sick when we left. Since finding Meg, I am able to comfortably travel now with the piece of mind he's in great hands. Meg even goes the extra mile to send text message updates with pictures and videos to show how he's doing while I'm away. She is knowledgable, professional, and overall a great person. We adopted a 2 year old Black Lab whose previous owner had reportedly used some rather harsh "training" techniques on her. They were so harsh that they made those who saw him cringe. Eventually, Waffles (as we named her) started to protect herself by growling at him. This in turn convinced him that she was vicious and needed to be euthanized. Luckily, this did not happen and she ended up becoming a part of our family. She did, however, come with a few bad habits. Meg was recommended to us by our veterinarian as a very gentle dog trainer. This is exactly what we needed as Waffles was extremely sensitive and bristled at even just a "scolding" tone of voice. Sharp commands were out of the question. To make a long story short, Waffles has now been with us for nearly 6 months and is doing extremely well. She has integrated perfectly and loves the whole family; cats, dogs and people. She is a big love and we have Meg to thank for that. We give Meg our highest recommendation!

I can't say enough about Meg Nichol and Positively Simple Dog Training; she is the reason we get to keep our best friend. Our dog went from not liking people and not liking dogs to liking people and almost all dogs, and I cannot recommend her enough, she is honest, reasonable, and will make you and your dog feel so at ease!#forever grateful

We have used Positively Simple (Meg Nichols) for overnight boarding for our mini golden doodle, Nellie. Nellie is a rather submissive dog who generally would rather be the only dog in the house, but going to stay with Meg has never been a problem. We will continue to board Nellie at Meg's anytime we can.

Meg is an amazing, positive reinforcement trainer. Two of my three dogs have been through both her puppy class and focus class. She will go out of her way to first meet you and your dog at your home and then have you attend class. Both of my dogs are very obedient and one has even moved on to agility (the focus helped immensely). Thank you Meg!

Meg boarded my dog during a time when I didn't know exactly when I was leaving or when I would return. She was flexible and reliable. Her vetting process reassured me that my boy was in good hands. Outstanding experience for my Papillon when she was a puppy. Now she is very confident, friendly and outgoing. What a difference Meg's approach made in my very shy and timid puppy. I'd give 10 stars if possible!

My wife and I would see Meg walking her own dogs and would always comment that is what a pack should look like - Meg walking with pack leader posture and the dogs following behind. After our previous dog walker quit after having problems with one of our fear aggressive dogs we used Meg as our go to walker. This choice was based on her training capabilities and what we had actually seen. She was obviously over qualified as a dog walker and had absolutely no problems with the dogs. It was also nice the dogs are always excited to see her which made us feel confident we no longer had to worry.
