A struggle every month to get prescription using a third party company for cheaper meds. When I request the order on walmartpet, chewy or pet smart is always a 2-3 weeks process for me to get the medication. My pet can’t be without meds and it doesn’t matter how early in the month I try requesting these medications they still take long to reply.

I moved to this Banfield because I really do not like the team on RT 7. This location makes up for everything awful about the RT 7 location. The staff is friendly, helpful. I feel like they care to get my pet in. They are really good with my dog even though he is a pain. You know they are good when my dog does not mind going there.

I usually take my dog to the palm beach outlet location but this time they didn’t have appoinments So I went to this location for rabies vaccine , my appoinment was clearly at 11:45. Which was confirmed by text a day before I arrived earlier because I like to be on time It was 12:15 and still haven’t been called So I asked the front desk lady how long was it going to be ? It’s been 30 min since my appoinment started. And she said no your appoinment is at 12 , so you have just been waiting 15 min !!! ( LIE). I had my confirmation text. 11:45 but anyways I shouldnt be waiting 15 or 30 min !!! Well I left at 1:30 pm just for a simple rabbies vaccine Unprofessional Not to let me know it’s going to take at least an hour to be called and besides that changing my appoinment time just to make it “ok” having me waiting for “less time”

The front desk staff and vet assistants are all incredible and very sweet. You can tell they love what they're doing. However, the doctor at this location, Dr. Clark, is awful. I only went to this location because I was having an emergency and my regular Banfield in Palm Springs (amazing) was fully booked for the day. My bully was having diarrhea for 2 days, and I noticed a small amount of blood in one of her sessions of the runs. That was the point of the visit. At my regular location, they're very transparent and don't push anything they don't think is necessary. This vet pushed 2 fecal tests and bloodwork at first. My dog had been eating and drinking normal so I really didn't think it was at the severity of blood work. Fecal tests were done and she got negative on both. Vet then pushed 3 different prescription medications, one for gastrointestinal coating in case of an ulcer (?), one for "regulating" her stomach, and then an anti diarrhea medicine (what my regular Banfield would prescribe). I questioned what the first 2 were for because I wasn't understanding and I wanted to make sure they were necessary since her fecal tests were negative. Dr. Clark was extremely condescending and then suddenly comes up with how there was blood happening during the fecal test (I only saw blood in the diarrhea once yesterday, none today) so I'm pretty sure she was pulling that out of thin air to sell medication. She pretty much guilted me into purchasing expensive medication that my pet may not even need (once again she was eating/drinking normal, even playing and acting her normal self other than diarrhea). Then tried to push a medicated food as well? That was low on fat? She eats purina pro plan for sensitive stomach as recommended by her actual vet. Her food has never given her an adverse reaction. As I had mentioned to the vet, I was pretty sure she may have just eaten something that upset her tummy. I don't see why all of this was needed for an upset tummy. TLDR; The front desk and vet assistants are lovely, but Dr. Clark is condescending and just pushes as much medicine and testing as she can, hungry for money. If you don't oblige, she passively tries to guilt you. If you're in the WPB area, the Palm Springs location is EONS better. Do not recommend this one at all.

I call when they are open and get a voice-mail that you can't leave a message. I have a wellness plan for my pet but can never get an appointment when I am off, I always have to take time from work to bring my pet in..

I have been going to various Banfield locations (due to moving) for at least 10 years and I have never had an issue other than dealing with this one. My first experience was when I scheduled my cat to be neutered and TOLD them about his complications. They assured me it was okay and scheduled the appointment. After dropping him off, the vet calls me and told me she does NOT do this type of surgery. Another instance was trying to schedule my dog's "pedicure" which they refused to make an appointment for even though he requires medication and several people to perform the simple procedure (he hates getting it done). They even experienced this first hand with him and she still refused to see why I would need an appointment to make sure enough staff is available, and I've never had an issue scheduling him before when we lived in Delray. She kept cutting me off and when I was trying to explain that his medication is a timed release- another reason we can't sit around and wait if they're busy, she responded "well, you'll wait if we're busy and you have an appointment". But I would obviously have priority over a walk in. When I asked why she was giving me an attitude, her response was "I'm not, but okay". No change in tone- no apology, nothing. Even while I was there, other than the two receptionists, the rest of the staff was very cold and unfriendly. I will GLADLY drive to the farther location than deal with this rude office where I am not even sure if my animals are being cared for properly. I hardly ever leave reviews but they honestly blew my mind with their lack of customer service.

Young vet seemed rushed and a little annoyed at my questions. Also, I noticed they always try to get you to do a bunch of different things to your pet so they can charge you more.

Lost my appointment with grooming because they couldn't do a 5 minute test even though there was no other person or dog in sight. They insisted they have to do an entire physical even though my dog was already seen and had her physical 1 month ago. We pay a monthly plan for nothing. They can't even attempt to make any accommodations. Even knowing we drove an hour for the grooming appointment, which also has no appointment til next week when we are unavailable. Attempted to make an appointment for tomorrow but apparently there aren't any. We can drop off our dog to be seen sometime in between other people's appointments which could take hours, again we drive an hour to get here. When asked if they can do that today so we dont waste the trip they are "booked" but how are you booked to see my dog between appointments today but not tomorrow if it's not an actual appointment ? No help whatsoever, no consideration

Great doctors and awesome staff. Pet Preventive Health and Wellness is their core mission aimed at giving pets long, healthy, happy lives with their owners. I have been with Banfield since they opened and used their vet services for all of my fur kids.

Took my dog in for a post surgery to be seen due to a complication, mind you I’ve been coming here with all my pets for over 10 years and I’ve never seen someone so rude and non caring as Dr. Liburd (she did not do surgery THANK GOD!)she does not have one ounce of compassion in her body. My dog is according to her in “shock” and needs to be emergency hydration and antibiotics, I have no issue with that however she proceeds to blame us for the complication arising. I’m ending my long relationship with this hospital. Don’t let Dr. Liburd touch your pet she’s horrible! I would give no stars if that was an option

Don’t buy the Banefield Plan. They over charge you for procedures such as a baby tooth extraction $81.00 (that the following day the tooth came out by itself) and they want to force you into buy additional medication not needed. If you refuse to pay the medication then they refuse to treat you pet. Is all BS! Go to a private pet plan...is much better in the long run. Dr. Perez has a bad attitude and so does the staff! Trust me is not worst it! Taking my dog somewhere else!

The front desk is horrible. They pick up the phone and slam it down they don’t even greet you, or tell you they are placing you on hold. They also leave you on hold for long period of times. They are not welcoming at the front desk either. And also the doctors do not give you an update after they are done with your pet. They are just pay the bill thanks bye. So unprofessional and not welcoming at all. Very rude!!

I was pleased with how quickly they saw me and my cat. I was displeased with the lack of compassion for my pet. My cat was lethargic. They wanted to do a series of tests that equated to almost $500. When I asked could you at least work with me, I was told they are Corporation, and have no flexibility. This was quoted from the actual veterinarian, not just their staff. I have a problem with this lack of compassion and need to fulfill corporate bottom lines instead of what they took an oath to do in the first place.

Some locations are much more efficient than others with west Boca being more difficult to get into. Love the Wellington location, however, I appreciate the wellness plan and everyone is friendly at all locations I have been to.

Horrible service consistently. Don't take walk-ins at all even if you call to tell them about your situation. They don't care about your pets health. They charged me extra money and told me to contact corporate to fix problem and then corporate tells me they have to solve the problem.

I'm very surprised at the extremely negative comments about Banfield. The veterinarians always paid attention to any problems we had with our dog, correctly diagnosed, treated the problems & then called each time to make sure our pet was responding properly. They even called to make sure our pet was doing OK after each routine vaccination. They also let us know when it was time for the next routine visit. They were always very courteous. I do not know what more you could expect.
