Absolute professionalism. My rat terrier was hit by a car and DR.Unis put her back together so I can have her for years to come. Jade the E.R. nurse was very patient with me as she explained and went over the discharge of my dog. I would 100% come here again....but not for the same reason ????

I have been fortunate enough to work with Dr. Alvarez and her staff with several of my dogs and they are truly "best in class". They are compassionate, professional, & up to date with the latest research. They always have your pets best interest in mind. This is a state of the art facility with cutting edge diagnostics all under one roof. We will continue to drive an hour when we need a specialist because we care about our dogs and believe we get the best care available at ACCESS.

They are lucky I gave a one star. When I called they picked up the phone and told me to hold. No problem there but they had me on hold for 28 minutes and then they picked up the phone told me to wait 30 minutes and call back. Never asked why I was even calling and they didn't care. No way would I ever make an appointment with them.

They seem to price gouge behind belief. UF does the procedure for 1500 they want 7500. I feel bad for pets and their owners that go here. If you can make it up to UF, you will save thousands and also have the best up to date veterinarians treat your pet. Well worth the drive.

I was told to come here by my Vet since they couldn’t do the specific surgery that we needed. Well after waiting over 4 hrs, they finally gave me an estimate for the surgery and said it will be about $10,000…. To remove a toy from my dogs stomach. I have had this procedure done in the past for my other dog and it cost $1,700. How they get off charging $10,000 for that is beyond me. I had them bring my dog out and we left. That is absolutely ridiculous. Places like this are the reason that people are unable to get the care they need for their pets and have no choice but to let them suffer. It is really sad. They also told me he cut his nose with his nail in the back and once we got in the car I realized he actually had a bloody nose. There was no cut. He was bleeding from his nose for almost an hour after we left. Not exactly sure what happened back there, but my poor baby looked traumatized. Save your time and money and take your baby somewhere that actually cares about their well-being and not just the money! Side note: the front staff was very nice and helpful.

Been here twice. First time I sat for two hours before someone informed me it was a 6 hour wait (after I went searching for answers about the delay) at which point I left and went elsewhere. Second time was today. No one communicated the pricing of treatment beyond the cost of the exam until after it was administered (which didn’t even work - to be fair they have no control over that and also to be fair I’d have almost certainly agreed to it, it’s more of an issue with procedures). So essentially I paid $220 to be told to go to another vet in 2 days to get blood work - very disappointing. It’s a 24/7 facility which I appreciate and the people are largely pleasant to deal with. Hopefully should I ever need to come here again, things will go more smoothly. I don’t have any doubts about their capabilities, it’s more just about the specifics of my two experiences.

My experience with Access pet hospital was excellent, the front desk staff was extremely friendly and very helpful, the nurses are very caring and took the time to listen to our concerns regarding to our pet Bella. The Doctor that my pet was in care of Doctor Gerber was extremely amazing. Thank you so much Doctor Gerber and Access for all your help and care to our pet.

My dog was very ill and they saved her life. The staff is friendly, compassionate and competent. The only downfall is their prices are excessive. Treatment for my dog was close to 4000.00. I understand ICU, Hospital. Ok I get it. I paid it but We needed 8 more prednisone pills. The discharge instructions stated she needs to take that until recheck. she was 8 pills short to get to the recheck date. I was charged 14.00 for these 8 pills. Now I have taken prednisone in the past and I have a cat who had to take prednisone. a full month supply (30 pills) does not cost 14.00 . Prednisone cost about 20 cents a pill for 2.5 mg. So I should have been charged an additional 2.00 to 2.50 but 14.00 is what I was charged for 8 pills. Again, i can't say enough about the staff. caring, compassionate, professional. the only negative is they are very overpriced but when your furry family member is having an emergency what other choice do you have but to pay it. They also want an additional 200.00 for a recheck. Crazy Crazy prices.

Trying to get help is impossible. We have been trying to get them to send a prescription and we have been having so many problems

The Doc was a plethora of info and down to earth. She was so obviously a lover of the doggos....one of the most informative Vets i have ever experienced

Our quirky Siberian Husky, Diesel was seen originally by the VCA 2 nights beforehand. We spent $1200 for them to tell us that he MIGHT have an obstruction in his small intestine and to monitor it. We only went there because it was closest to us. Our primary vet recommended ACCESS after showing more symptoms, and we couldn’t be happier that we made the decision to go there. Diesel’s small intestine was completely obstructed and needed surgery immediately. They took him into surgery that night and Dr. Flynn worked his magic and our boy is back with us! They were responsive with updates and Dr. Flynn had called us as soon as he was done with surgery. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the level of care Diesel had received in his stay at Access. Thank you all so much!

As a veterinarian, it is often difficult to separate medical knowledge and logic from the emotional bond with your pet. At times, it can be even more challenging to place your trust in a colleague with whom you’ve never met or interacted with outside of social media. Add in being new to the area and not having had the chance to establish a rapport with local colleagues … this is the perfect storm of complications that I found myself in early yesterday morning. Thankfully, a very kind (and early rising!) veterinarian answered my plea for help at 4am and I found myself driving down to ACCESS from the Vero Beach area. When I arrived, the front desk staff were pleasant and cheerful, as was the technician who came out to triage. Dr Gerber was fantastic and reassured me that my cat would be well looked after in their care. His sense of humor brought some much needed lightness to the situation. The technicians tasked with performing diagnostics were efficient and kind in their handling of my sick cat. While waiting for testing results, I witnessed the front desk staff assisting other clients there for emergencies or previously scheduled appointments. It became clear to me that one of the staff members was newer and had never experienced discussing euthanasia with a client. The advice and training provided for them to address this topic was thoughtful and accurate. It was lovely to witness the teamwork that went into satisfying each client’s needs. Thankfully, my cat wasn’t as ill as I initially feared and I was able to take her home. However, had she required surgery and subsequent hospitalization, I would have not had any hesitation leaving her in their kind, attentive care. My sincerest gratitude and thanks to Doctors Gerber and Retotar, and the wonderful team of support staff!

My dog had a knee tear that needed surgery. The coordination of appointments, Karen calling to see if I had questions and share reminders for the appointment, the follow up appointments, calls, etc. I just felt like they truly cared about me and my dog. The coffee in the lobby is also very welcoming. Great people, clean environment, I highly recommend them, but hope you never need it! ????

I had to take my dog last night because he ate an ENTIRE rotisserie chicken (bones and all). They answered the phone and the first time I called. They treated Jake (my dog) and I so well! They explained everything to me and I was very comfortable leaving him overnight. They updated me regularly and took such good care of him! I picked him up today and I truly think them to taken such good care of my boy! I highly recommend!

Thank you so much to the whole staff and Jennifer Marie! Everyone was so caring and patient with miss Betsey. My dog is in heart failure and I took her here (all the way from Ft. Lauderdale) for a full evaluation. It was worth the hour drive and way more. It was expensive but I was only billed for the services and nothing more. I know this because I had an estimate that I paid part of before I left her for the day. When I came back I did not owe the full amount because they did not have to do as much as they thought was needed to diagnose Betsey. The doctor was great at explaining everything to me and telling me how to care for her going forward. The nurse Jennifer was just as great. She was with her the whole day and gave me a verbal progress report that put me at ease. She then went over all her medications and her needed follow up care, plus home care. She did all of this with such detail and care and mind you it was 10 pm at this point and I dropped her off there at 10 am. That’s care! Thank you so much to all of the staff but especially Jennifer!!!

Brought our little fuzzy freind for an emergency visit and received the best professional service in the industry. From the front desk register to the nurse to the Vet. I highly recommend this emergency hospital for pets. You and your pets are treated better here than in a human hospital. The level of true care and professionalism is beyond words. They have an extremely clean facility from the exam rooms to the restrooms. Saw they have a professional cleaning staff. They have a snack bar complimentary for clients considering the amount of time spent there and comfort snacks for free are a great inclusive care for the clients. The price for services are competitive and affordable not to mention they accept pet insurance plans like Care Credit. Keep up the great work!!!

Jason, Dr. Unis, and their team were literally life savers for our corgi. I still can't believe how well-organized, knowledgeable, and caring they were. If you need anything for your babies you can trust them with it. The best part is they are 24/7 and our emergency was on a Sunday. We will never forget them and will send everyone we know their way.

I called this establishment in a panic because our dog got a hold of a toad. Cisco answered the phone and was so calm and collected when I explained the situation. This is key for a panicked fur-mom. I got our sweet boy over there and Jennifer came out immediately and was ready to help. After about 45 mins total, he was good to go and mommy and daddy were worry free. Thank you to this amazing establishment for being so good to us. The establishment is clean, organized and the staff is professional and very friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone with emergency vet needs. Thank you ACCESS❤️

Took my senior little guy here last night. He had been crying and gnawing on his foot. The tech took him in immediately. In 5 minutes she came out with the sticker she found imbedded in his paw. NO CHARGE!!!! I couldn't believe how nice she was. I hope I don't need an ER vet again but if I do this is the place to go. Kudos to the tech who worked at 6:00 PM on 11/7. Sorry I didn't get your name. You were awesome!!!

Very expensive. They never give vitals on my dog that was having vomiting and Diarrhea with blood

Very compassion and cordial about the euthanasia procedure performed on our beloved dog Gogo.They expressed sincere sorrow and gave encouragement to go on. We were fortunate to have such great service.

Access saved my cat’s life when his primary vet failed to do so. Long story short my primary vet told me my cat was okay and just suffering from a stomach bug when he was repeatedly vomiting, but I knew something was wrong and decided to take him here to Access and I’m so happy I did. They almost immediately got him tested and diagnosed with a foreign body intestinal obstruction and within a few hours he was in emergency surgery, after a couple days of hospitalization he came home with a bunch of medicines that the nurse clearly explained to me on how to use. Throughout his course of healing he did have some incisional complications and I was able to send pictures via email and be called the same day to bring him back in so they could clean and restitch his incision, again a very fast process. When he was hospitalized the doctor who performed his surgery called us everynight with detailed updates on his care and recovery which we appreciated so much. Dr. Flynn is awesome and saved my boy’s life and I’m forever grateful. Yes they are a bit pricey, about 6k in total but I was comfortable paying that knowing he was receiving the best care, meds and doctors he could possibly get during this scary situation. The price is the only reason my review isn’t 5 stars. Really great place and I’ll be going there for any emergencies in the future.

The staff was amazing. They were so kind and informative. Ultimately I had to put my sweet dog to sleep. They were open in the middle of the night and brought peace to my whole family. Such a kind and great doctor that helped us with the process. The site is new and beautiful. I highly recommend for all pet needs.

Great service and friendly staff. Had an emergency with my dog and they took care of him right away. He ate a baby sock(he is a small dog) and had to get induced vomiting. They explained the procedure very good. Excellent emergency vet.

Our pet was treated by our regular vet and frankly we feel they botched the surgical procedure that was carried out on him as he ran into multiple bleeding complications and had several bacterial infections The doctors and staff at Access …

Have been there and seen Dr. Unis on numerous occasions. Performed two successful surgeries on our animals for cancerous tumors. All vet techs and employees are very courteous and professional. Facility extremely clean. In the future would bring my pets there for all surgery.
