I take all three of my cats here to see Dr Abreu because he is the absolute best! He actually cares about his patients and listens to all of my concerns. All the techs and staff there are always professional and very sweet. I drive from DeLand to Port Orange to see them and it’s totally worth it. Best vet office I’ve ever had. 10/10

Constant revolving door of incompetent Vets. You never see DrBartos. Office staff rude and incompetent. After coming to this office x 20 years- I’ve switched. Past few years the care my animals received was awful. When you return the vet you saw previously is never employed with practice any longer. And it’s no wonder… Shameful. Went from 5 star clinic to no stars. Do better.

They were amazing took me in right away and helped me with my big baby. Such nice people here and always smiling and welcomes you right away.

I finally found a place who takes care of exotics!! I absolutely love this place. This is my second time going to Halifax and I think I may have found our new go to vet ♥️ The staff I have encountered are very friendly and professional. The veterinarian was very kind and patient (as I had a LONG list of questions and he answered every single one without making me feel like I was rushed). Both times I have brought Reese (my Guinea pig) to them it was kind of a “urgent” matter. They did everything in their power to get me in for an appointment and I am SO grateful for that! … they are VERY fair priced for the quality of care they give. Every pet has its own personality and they become family and it is VERY heartbreaking and hard to see them suffer when it seems like you can’t get help quick enough. But this place has been amazing, I will drive wherever I need to make sure Reese gets the care he needs. My little buddy is getting better ❤️

Dr. Abreu and technician Kayla were absolutely incredible. Never had a wonderful experience with my cat, Ronan like I did today. Thank you to the whole staff for doing what you do! Working in the vet industry is not an easy job, give them patience and kindness and you’ll receive it back. If Ronan will ever need any medical attention, Dr. Abreu is the person I will see!

I’ve used their services on two occasions now and I found them to be everything I would want my dog to have in his care and treatment. I have recommended them to neighbors and did so without hesitation, by far the best yet since moving to Port Orange. The staff and vets have all been great and easy to work with, thank you!

Dr. Bartos and her staff, Brielle, Stephanie and all the other techs are wonderful. I didn't know that my Tigg had a "Mega Colon"....but their treatment of him and the care they show goes above and beyond!

I have loved Halifax vet - so have my pets for many years. This year things have changed - staff has not been friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, attentive or effective in the treatment of both my animals and myself. They hadn’t updated my pets information for 8 months, after multiple requests. They consistently made extremely SIGNIFICANT errors in both their “diagnosis and remedies” — they are unkind, childish, defensive, uncooperative and dismissive of loyal paying customers and loving pet owners. Ask around, let others tell you their honest experiences— privately. Sad to see such a once wonderful facility and staff fall due to Covid (the staff now like to blame those staff leaving on the customers who oppose this staff and their poor performance) to disrespectful inconsiderate and uneducated employees who give wrong (at times life changing kind of “wrong”) poor, inaccurate, incorrect information — all while acting like the customers are the burden. The “new staff” over the last year, are downright rude, arrogant, aloof, dismissive, cold, inattentive, irritated and “obviously bothered” by their customers. Completely inappropriate and disgraceful behavior because they’re stressed. Hey, guess what? So is the rest of the world.

I've been going to Halifax Vet Clinic since 1995. Dr. Bartos takes great care of my pups. I'm on the last dog of my life and we will be going to see Dr Bartos till my dog Ava passes or I do.

Brought my pup in for a ear problem.....they were the nicest and most professional vet I have ever been to... they care more about the animals... I recommend them to anyone who loves their pets like I do..... their professionalism is amazing to watch ...thank you Halifax veterinary center for taking the best care possible for my furry babies !!!

Excellent pet care. They even call the next day to check on your fur baby. A little more expensive but worth every penny.

I would highly recommend this vet! I was brand new to the area and they took my dog right in as if she had been going there for years. The staff is so kind and caring. I would never take my animals any other place.

I have no words to describe how highly I recommend this Veterinary Center, Dr. Abreu saved the life of my German Shepherd. I'm beyond grateful for the amazing care received. My German Shepherds will never know another Veterinarian other than Dr. Abreu. I also have to mention the staff is absolutely the best. I can't Thank you ALL enough for the love and care that you have for my big fur babies! :)

If you’re looking for a vet who will actually care about your pet, this place is probably your best option in the area. My 14 year old chihuahua needed surgery and after consultations at 2 other vet clinics, I ended up bringing her to Halifax and I’m so glad I did. They answered all my questions and kept me in the loop with every detail of her surgery and the vet himself followed up with me the day after to make sure my dog was doing well.

Took my new dog here for his first vet visit, they were so friendly and happy people - we have definitely found our go to vet! They squeezed me in on short notice and went above and beyond for my furbaby. Would highly recommend them!

Where i got my babies

Dr. Abreu , the receptionists and technicians are all amazing! I was visiting my family from out of town when my dobie Duke was bit and needed to be sutured. Dr. Abreu and staff stayed late on a Friday night to take care of my dog. Again the staff who has never met me were the most compassionate and squeezed me in. It can be scary doing a curbside service during COVID19 but your pet is in good hands at this clinic. The final best thing I can say is that they are not financially motivated. They did not up charge me any emergency fee's or anything outrageous to help my pet in his time of need. I work as a vet tech in north east Florida and can STRONGLY recommend this clinic and Dr.Abreu.

I little overpriced and you need to be careful of what they WILL be charging or you will get what you don't need but overall awesome place for pets
