VCA Central Park Animal Hospital Plantation, Florida

I'm actually for the first time disappointed by a VCA trip. Let me explain. When you first get there, they are incredibly kind. I got there a half hour early and was sent to a room where...I seemed to wait a half hour longer. Okay, no worry I was a half hour early fair. So when the vet tech came in she was really cool. Huge cat person, kinda knowledgeable to what I needed...until she started to write down a bunch of stuff on what I'd be charged with. I needed an exam and updated rabies shot. Okay, but they suddenly wanted to do a fecal test that I don't know what it was going to be for and her other shot needed to be updated, both of which i opted out of because why did I need the test? And she's an indoor cat so the other shot would have been not needed. I juat had it last time for flying sake. So after like 20 minutes of going back and forth on price I was given a hug shock by how much it would be. I expected to pay way less, especially since I called ahead for prices prior. I wasn't happy already, but when the actual vet came in I was even less happy. I feel like the whole visit was rushed and I didn't get the answers to some questions I had about my pet. Fuether more, it felt like each time I asked for something, EX "can you trim my cats paw pad hair" they tacked on a new charge or tried to deter me because I said I didn't have much. By the time we were done with what I INITIALLY came in for, none of the price I was given in the exam room is what I actually PAID. I expected at least a 100 dollar charge and ended up with more. Not just that but now that my pet is home, her bottom where they took temp is swollen and she keeps licking it so I'm afraid the temp may have been taken incorrectly. All in all this wasn't a good visit at all. 3 stars for the poor front staff who had to even figure out what my actual charges were.

We are extremely happy with the quality of care our pup has received here. It starts with the friendly welcoming staff that greets you upon arrival. The medical staff is also extremely attentive and thorough. And as if this wasn’t wonderful enough. The groomers are amazing. His haircut was perfect all around. Great Place. We just moved to the area and are thrilled to have found this gem. Thank you all for the love you show all your patients.

During the past 21 years ,even before they were at their current address, Dr Baumwell and staff have helped me to keep my adorable cats healthy and beautiful. I have been so blessed to have found such wonderful and caring people. They are kind and professional.. They are the BEST!

The Doctors and Staff treat you and your kids (Pets) with the same Love and Care as if you were part of their family. You Guys are the Best!!!

I arrived at 1:25 for a 1:30 appointment and then sat in a room with my dog for 20 mins. I was then told that the Vet had gone off to lunch and it was going to be a bit of a wait. My dog has epilepsy and needed his medication filled and now has to go the weekend without his medicine. How are you going to go to lunch when I have an appointment scheduled?

Took my 4 month healthy, happy, loving and very active puppy for her final vaccination shots. VCA gave her 5 shots, including a flu shot (which they charge 53 dollars and people get flu shots for 10 dollars) on Friday June 12 and she never came out of the vet the same. Had to rush her to the emergency vet on Sunday June 14 afternoon where she pass, I'm devastated. Was explained, that many shots in one vet visit is not recommend specially for any puppies. Was a reaction to the vaccinations and VCA never explain that this could have happen. Thank you VCA for the loss of our loving, young family member. Just to be perfectly honest your response came after I left a message Sunday night and review, I then called VCA before closing on Monday, since no one from your office reached out to find out what happen and I spoke with you. There was negligence, carelessness and incompetent services provide by VCA. So after a year and two weeks after the death of my puppy Luna, I had the opportunity for a Broward County Judge to hear my case. No I didn't win the case, because I was not able to provide enough Burden of Proof. And literally VCA Plantation said in court that it was my fault for the death of my puppy for not bring the puppy back to the vet fast enough. This puppy was a happy, jumping and running around crazy puppy until the day I brought her to VCA Plantation for her death sentence. Like I said last year VCA Plantation cares more about revenue than the safety of our fur baby's

My dog needed his rabies vaccine so I made an appointment with them. From the beginning I told them I wanted the 3 year shot not the one year. They asked me for his records to make sure he was up to date with all his other vaccine. They never requested his records for prior rabies vaccines, so they assumed he never had the shot before so they gave him the 1 year instead. They never advised me of that. I was very upset when I found out. Be very careful before signing anything with them.

We just love VCA Plantation. Dr. Carbonell is the best - she has supported us through many things with our beloved pets. Thank you VCA!

I, personally, was not able to come here but my partner did. We had to take our dog into the vet as soon as possible and they were able to take us in the same day. According to my partner, they were all super helpful and kind. They gave us medication for our dog and she's already doing better. They even called us the next day to see how she was doing! How sweet! 10/10 recommend coming here, the customer service and attention to the animals is spectacular!

Today was my first visit taking my cat and Dr. Jessica Carbonell was excellent ! She answered all my questions, examined my cat thoroughly and was very patient . The vet tech Lauren Perlstein was amazing and treated my cat with great care . I was very happy I brought her to VCA Central Park. The staff at the front desk were friendly and very efficient .

My dog had was bitten in the neck area, and had a pretty large puncture wound. We were worried it might need stitches so we looked up vets. This one popped up and we decided to go there. We had no appointment and we did not call them. They had no issues whatsoever with taking care of our dog right then and there. All the staff were extremely friendly. The vet came and said she would have to clean out the wound and give him some staples. We were worried this would cost us at least $1000 if not more, but we were extremely surprised by the price. We are 100% satisfied with the service we received. They did not try to upsell us anything or try to give my dog services he did not really need (which has happend at other vets). Again, all the staff were super friendly and they all wanted to take care of our dog. Super happy we went to VCA Central Park. Thank you, guys!

The whole staff is very professional and friendly. Dr. Baumwell is great! He always calls to check on Tigger and has taken great care of him the few times I’ve taken him in.

We love VCA Central Park! We take our two cats and new dog here. We trust Dr. Buela and the whole VCA team with our babies. Prompt service, warm environment, genuine animal lovers. They always explain everything, and even call to check up after a sick visit. With the pet care plans, it’s a no brainer.

Always a pleasure especially for a well dog checkup. I've been using Dr Baumwell for over 25 years and he's never an alarmist and never recommends extra unneeded tests and procedures. There is a small premium on the price dude to it being corporate but the value is there

I was referred to this office (VCA Central Park) by a pet insurance agency that I was inquiring about. My cat Lily was in terrible shape. On Saturday they close at 4pm, I arrived at almost 3:45. Not only did they take care of my Lily they took the time to talk with me and to explain everything in detail. Dr. Jessica Carbonell gave her a full exam, did tests, made sure her shots were up to date and explained to me underlying conditions that my past Vet never mentioned to me. If he had, Lily would not have had to endure the pain that she was in. They are very caring compassionate people who took their time with us until after 6:30pm when they close at 4:00!!!! I am so grateful that I found them and will bring all of my pets (1 Dog 4 cats) to them from now on. Thank you so much Dr. Carbonell and staff for taking wonderful care of my Lily. Love this vets office. Quick. Polite. Clean. Efficient. Everything you could want from a post covid world experience.

This location has been caring for our dogs and cats for several years (specifically Dr Baumwell). They have helped us through basic examinations and compassionate end of life care. Enter Covid times and we are grateful for VCA’s strict protocol to ensure the safety of all. We’ve had several appointments for our pets during the pandemic of which we wait in our vehicle for a masked tech to come out and take our pet inside. I’m sure it’s been challenging for VCA to mange these changes during very stressful times. Sometimes we’ve had to wait 15-20 min before someone can take our beloved babies in for their appointment; however, we appreciate that the doctors continue to take the necessary time with each patience (and patient’s parents) and not rush through appointments. We also have come to know the general manager and she has also been wonderful to work with. We highly recommend this location to care for your 4-legged family members.

Wow what a great vet and customer service! I changed vets and selected VCA based on all the great reviews I read here on google. I went to their location today, they examined my chronic allergy skin issue dog and provided a great regimen. Everyone was so nice... like really nice. Prior to this I had been going to the same vet for 13 years and needed a change. Very refreshing !

This was the first time we took our Pomeranian for grooming at VCA Central Park Animal Hospital. We are very glad that we did. We were amazed with the quality of the work, the cost of the service, the professional service, how reliable the groomer is and how responsive she is. We will gladly let her work her magic with TeePee with each grooming.

Called to schedule an appointment for my cat that has a history or required medication prior to be seen. The unsympathetic doctor wanted me to pay for a visit to come in and be seen have my cat be spooked and then come back and pay for another visit! Horrible first impression definitely would not come here.
