Lakeside Animal Hospital Plantation, Florida

After the death of Dr. Fernandez, the quality of care has plummeted. The cost/price increases. Cannot recommend this facility.

We take our precious kitty here and she loves the staff. The staff is warm and pleasant. I love that the hospital smells clean and it is in pristine condition. Great place for your furry loved one!

The man thought that the dog only needed one shot. He did not look carefully at the medical record the dog needed two. He was going to charge me for both I had to explain to him I had already prepaid for 1 of them. Only my 2nd visit and the shots for the vaccinations get mixed up... That's frightening... because that means I have to stay on top of what they are doing. I'm a great customer but doubt I'll go back.

Boy oh boy does my Boston, MeToo love it here and everyone within the 4 walls & then some. When I get close to Lakeside from, Broward, I ask him.."Guess where we are?" I can barely turn into parking lot before he's turned himself inside out with happiness & anticipation????..and all that goes for me as well!! I even got my niece & hubby to have their pup to come here as well..MeToo is now 9-1/2 yrs ..& has grown up from a wee one with Lakeside as his one & only 'caretaker'. Drs, nurses, assistants, staff,front desk, over phone, kennel care, etc overnite..you-all are 'over the moon' for both of us,MORE THAN YOU KNOW ..and we THANKYOU????. .

Everyone here was great with my Baby. She was very nervous and they were very gentle with her.

My Dog his vet tech she knows how to handle him. He loves her too he sees her and wags. I think love at first sight.

I have multiple pets and practically live at Lakeside. I have been going here since before Dr. Fernandez had the practice. I cannot say enough about the caring staff who do everything they can for my pets.

Love this place! You can really see how much these people care about the animals! They were so great with our dog! :)

I have two senior dogs with health issues. I have been going to Lakeside for many years. Their kindness, professionalism, knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond to help my dogs through their health issues has meant so much to me and my husband. I would not take my dogs any where else.

The people in this hospital are all so sweet and caring when it comes to the animals that come here! We've only had to visits here but Rocky is already so happy when he comes in, and is so calm thanks to the amazing people that work here! Not to mention they've helped me so much, always answering my questions and giving me helpful advice! I can tell everyone in there love the patients they take care of and their jobs! Almost makes me want to join them too!

The doctors & the entire staff are second to none! They take pride in their work and are truly dedicated to giving my girls the very, very best of care! Lakeside, where Pets are People too!????????????

Very happy to find such a warm and caring doctor for our dog Lucy. Dr. Frione, Angie and Alexis are so very nice, patient and so helpful. Would give 10 stars if I could. Highly recommended.

This was the worst experience I ever had at a vet , the only thing of concern was money , the vet is horrible apt he workers fine but. As you can see from employee reviews not a great place to work . ( see employee reviews via google) The admit the vet is only money motivated Do not recommend to anyone who doesn’t want to be overcharged

Think I found a winner with this vet. Amazing service from my first phone call to schedule an appt. although we were not allowed inside due to Covid...they were very efficient and I felt comfortable and secure which says a lot considering your not physically inside with the doctor.

I have 2 pets both enrolled in the Ban***ld Welllness program at Sawgrass....for years that facility was very accommodating. In the last 18 months they have gone downhill FAST, it is now a train wreck!! Your appointments are met for the following week, drop off service only, simple checkups (15 min) require in by 8am and out by 4pm. I decided to pay the additional fee to visit Lakeside and was so very impressed that they asked me to come over in less than 1 hour from my call. The 15 min procedure provided me with the results and on my way in less than 45 min. Thank you to Dr. Frione and the team of professionals!!

Considering all pandemic wise our appointment was great. The staff met me at the car. They took Gizmo and the doctor did her assessment my dog. During the appointment she called me each step along the way. They always give the pet parent an estimate prior to any procedures. Hot everything I needed scripts my dog and off we went. Great veterinary group. The owner is a woman which makes it all the sweeter..

I chose Lakeside by pure lottery looking for a good vet for my newly adopted stray cat. Not only did I get a first available appointment but the staff including Angie, Sam, and the doctor (can't remember her name) were by far some of the most hospitable and generally kind hearted people I have had the pleasure of associating with. Ariel (my cat) will now be a loyal visitor to this vet and any other animals should I get more pets. Thank you Lakeside! Ariel wasn't even stressed coming home after her visit. Happy to give the locals the business these days. God Bless!

Highly recommend! Dr. Frione and the entire lakeside team were very gentle with my dogs who are usually nervous at the vet. Even though they are doing curbside the entire visit was quick and seamless. Dr. Frione tailored my dogs vaccines to their needs and did not try to push things they don’t need. All around great experience.

Dr. Frione and her entire staff are the best! They go above and beyond for their clients and you can see they really care for each pet.

Great place to take your family pets

All they care about is money. They will try n sell you their "wellness plan" and God forbid something happens to your little one cause they will pocket that money and try to sell you another plan smh.. the employees are great though for what its worth

I've been taking my cat & dog there since 2014. The entire staff is amazing!

Very disappointed! We were a long time customer for more than 15 years with all of our pets. It seems to me they have been more concerned about money in the past few years and I suspected they had often recommended unnecessary treatments to pad the bill. This morning we accidently gave our dog a double dose of his pain killer medicine. I called Lakeside and explained what had happened. They said to bring our dog in to flush out his system. I was ok with this and the price I was quoted of $55 for the visit and $60 to administer fluids. After dropping him off, I got a call from the office and was told the price would be $275. I immediately called the vet my daughter uses and told the doctor what Lakeside recommended. The doctor said the system flush was not necessary and it would wear off. I feel they took advantage of our fear and recommended something that was unnecessary. I picked up our dog and was charged $69 for the visit, not $55. Today I decided to switch to another vet. Lakeside lost a long time customer and I will most likely spread the word of my bad experience.

My puppy boards there often and seems to like It there as they too are very fond of him. What I don’t think is fair is for them to charge a $10/day medication administration fee for a med they themselves prescribed, when you simple put the tiny pill in his food. And on top of that their boarding fee has gone up by $14 for a total of around $45/night.
