Had to take our dog there after an incident with a cane toad she was seizing and they were able to stabilize her and get her well they even followed up a few days later to see how she was doing

We brought our 16 yr old havanese to the clinic in the middle of the night. He was having seizures and needed help ASAP. The staff was informative and compassionate. They walked us through a difficult situation. We did have to put our baby down , but they me drive home 35 minutes away and return with my family to say goodbye. Thank you again for all you did.

I cant say enough good things about Dr Hanson and his staff a Pet Emergency & Referral Center. Our dear Abby fell off our golfcart and her hip came totally out of place. We were told from other vets that she needed surgery. All the places we tried prior were either 3x the price or they couldn't get her in for a month or more as they were behind. We are so blessed to have found them as they saw her the next day and were 1/3 of the price. What was even better news is Dr Hanson called us the day she was to have surgery and told us he felt she did not need the surgery and he may be able to put the hip back into place. Had to bring my dog in at 3:00 in the morning staff was already there and the office is two streets away from my house staff was super nice worked very fast I was back home within an hour doctor was really nice gave me lots of options so I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of and the price was actually pretty low I was actually surprised at how cheap it was I was expecting the bill to be a lot more I would definitely recommend them they're great fast nice caring I can't say anything bad about them at all best experience I've ever had in a vet's office

They handled our dog experiencing anaphylaxis very well. They took the time to listen to me, was available to take my calls when needed, answered any questions I had, repeated the answers when I called back because I forgot. They updated us when they said they would and the only complaint we had was not being able to stay with our girl through her care. Totally professional through our crisis. Recommended.

Awful, would not recommend. After our vet was very concerned and recommended an immediate visit to an emergency vet I called to state our situation. I was told it was a 2 hour wait, to remain in car and staff would assess for severity, and afterwards to wait in car to be called. Husband called upon arrival, and noted 2 other cars waiting. Husband was told staff would be out to assess our dog….husband sat for 2 hours without a single person coming out to assess our dog, who was having a severe allergic reaction with a swollen throat! When he called at the 2 hour mark he was told he’d have to wait to find out why no one had been out. Like what?! If you want your pet to die waiting in their parking lot, I suggest not wasting your time.

The staff and doctor were excellent in communicating with me about my dog's condition. They were also very gentle eith her and courteous with us. Will highly recommend.

Learn from my mistake people. If you’re going to spend over 2K for your animal especially when it comes to a kidney blockage please take it to your primary vet and not a place like this. At least your primary knows and will care about your animal instead of someone else milking you of all your money just to play “point and shoot” with your animal with “maybe hopeful results” thanks for nothing but debt !

Even on short notice My blackjack was treated with wonderful care and dignity and as far as prices it was alot cheaper then thought to be especially with it being again on short notice and an emergency I thank everyone for making sure he was taken care of and showimg compassion to me losing what I would call my best friend much love to everyone that works here❤R.I.P my fat boy

Even though there is a new Pet Emergency center by my house, I will drive to the wonderful Drs and Staff at Pet Emergency and Referral Center. They have cared for my dogs over the years when I have needed them the most.

Everyone was thoughtful and kind even though Missy needed a biopsy and we didn’t get answers to our questions.

ONLY $700 FOR A CATS URINARY TRACT INFECTION THIS ONE MUST BE A GRAND SOUL. BECAUSE SOON HE WILL BE CHARGING A THOUSAND …

We brought our 6 week old kitten on a late Saturday night and he was seen quickly. He’s doing much better now and we are super thankful to everyone at Pet Emergency and wish we could remember everyone’s names. All of the staff were really friendly and walked us through every step of the way including what to expect with pricing and why he was being rejected by mama the first few days home. Bugsy is back to his energetic self and constantly playing with his siblings. Thank you again ❤️

Our Rottweiler tore her ACL and our vet referred us to Dr Hanson. When we called the staff was extremely friendly and empathetic. They couldn’t see her for 3 weeks but assured us they would do the surgery the same day. I called another vet who could take her in to confirm it was ACL and then scheduled surgery for another day. Which would be added cost and stress on her having to be put under multiple times. Plus, she tore her other acl a few years ago go so we knew it was another tear. So we waited 3 weeks and her surgery was yesterday. Everyone was very kind. Dr Hanson took time to explain what was gonna happen. We picked her up today and the tech reviewed next steps. Very patiently. Didn’t act rushed or we were a bother. Thank you Dr Hanson and team!

My little terrier/chihuahua got a hold of a bufo toad on a Saturday. His vet was closed but their message said to take him to Pet Emergency Center in West Palm Beach. He was having violent seizures and I thought he was going to die. They had him stabilized in 30 mins and getting better and resting comfortably soon after. We picked him up the next day looking like nothing happened. Everyone was so informative, professional, and compassionate. They saved his life.

My elderly dog had problems with her back and hind legs. So I took her to them this morning. Everybody I interacted with today were a absolutely wonderful. They took such good care of Daisy for me.

Waited 6 hours for them to see my dog, even though they specifically said. “2-hours MAX”. 2 hours later we call and they said at least another hour. Another hour goes by and we have to contact them again. Horrible communication. They wanted to do “x-rays and blood work” just to confirm nothing was wrong, and we got no real answers. They just want to send him home with a bunch of meds. I understand if you’re busy but don’t say “MAX” if you’re going to triple the time. Then, we get the bill, and after paying I realize they charged me double for some items. We went back in to ask and they made a mistake. A $230 mistake. Good thing we caught it. If you like waiting with no communication and constant misleading information and to pay double for things…this is the place for you. Actual time…doesn’t exist here. If your dog TRULY does NOT have time on its side, DO NOT come here.

I brought my dog in for the dog flu vaccine. The total cost was 124.00. It was partly my fault an additional 30.00 was charged due to a past allergic reaction. The total was still 94.00 which is more expensive than any where else especially …

We regret coming here so bad! Our cat was mis-diagnosed putting his life in danger and wasting our time & money. This place was referred to us by a couple of our vet's as an emergency services clinic. We had to bring our cat, who was peeing more frequent than normal and with blood, to this clinic as an emergency with no appointment. My husband had to wait 2 hours until they took our pet in for examination. They came back with him with a completely wrong diagnosis and useless treatment. We still don't understand why they didn't order him an ultrasound right away. Also no blood tests done, no antibiotic, nothing. They sent him home with a pain reliever (sedative), a muscle relaxer, and told us to get a feliway hormone scent diffuser. They said it was a urinary syndrome caused by stress (no stressful home here). Doing an ultrasound could have saved us so much time and stress. Days after our emergency visit our cat kept peeing blood and going to the litter too frequently (more than normal - signing a blockage). If they had done this ultrasound they could've found the blockage of crystals and mucous. We visited another vet who did it right away. If we had waited more time or continued with this misleading treatment, our cat would have been completely blocked and would've required surgery. His condition has since been efficaciously treated with a prescribed diet that dissolves crystal struvites. It was a simple ultrasound and a simple treatment that was needed.
