Dr. Burrell is simply the best you can get when you are in this very emotional, personal, and difficult situation. Sadly we have been in need of her services three times over the last six years. She is very professional, kind, considerate, and careful. I can't imagine anyone could perform this service any better than she does. We are very thankful that she was available. I very highly recommend her.

We are grateful to Dr. Burrell for minimizing our pet's suffering. She is kind and compassionate, we will not hesitate to seek her help again should we find another one of our pets in such a situation.

Gentle pet Passings was a great choice I made to have my cat (Shady) go to rest in peace! Dr Burrell fit me in her schedule on a days notice and made it comfortable for my cat to be at her home with me and I was able to be with her as long as I wanted, she didn't do any kind of rushing me , she was very compassionate with my pet and to know that there are still good kind people in this world that we are in today, for I am in a very bad place, my mom just passed away not too long ago and I was just getting over the whelm of that and then found out I have breast cancer which is getting worse as it is spreading and I haven't even found any help yet all because of no insurance and the programs have denied me all because I paid for my first dr visits for my mammogram and ultrasound and then my biopsy, they say because I paid out of own pocket for that I am not eligible for any of the programs I have tried. I showed her the bruising and skin discoloration and swelling of my breast which is in my armpit and middle of my chest as well cuz its spreading so rapidly and I am alone in all of this and then had to let my little baby leave me even though I know it was time so she didn't hurt anymore but she told me at the end that she wasn't even gonna charge me which made me cry even more than what I already was! I was not expecting that to happen and it just goes to show that there are good people left and she is definitely one of them! I thank you miss Burrell for that and especially thank you for taking such good care of my shady as you did! You are so kind to the animal's (atleast you were to my cat shady) and made her feel comfortable and not scared when it was time for her to go and I am so grateful for that! Thank you for being the person that you are and god bless you in everything you do! Thanku, melissa harris

Making the decision to lay your pet to rest is a most difficult decision in itself and choosing the right veterinarian service just makes anxiety levels that much higher. Your biggest fear is risking to make an unpleasant event even more unpleasant by not choosing the best service for both your pet and you. Dr. Burrell was an exceptional choice! She was extremely genuine, knowledgeable, compassionate, yet very direct in assuring you that you are making the right decision. From the initial contact, she listens regarding the current condition of your loved one and helps you not only sort through your options, but also your feelings. The process was very peaceful and tranquil for our good buddy. We felt good that we let him leave peacefully and better as the day progressed. Thank you Dr. Burrell for making a tough day better!

What a beautiful urn my little girl came home in. The handbook was extremely helpful. I have never had to put a pet to sleep, so very informative. The personal touch with the wildflower seeds was extra special. Thank you so much.

The doctor was loving and kind at a very sad time for us. Our little Fifi was comfortable the whole time. I can highly recommend her and doing the euthanasia calmly at home.

This was a extremely difficult decision to say goodbye to our dachshund Izzy. Dr. Burrell helped to make it a lot easier. Our 8 year old rescue lived a great life, and fell into poor health very quickly. As she got progressively worse we …

I thought long and hard about posting this review. I was just going to try to forget about this experience and put it behind me, but if I can save even just one pet (and pet parent) from enduring trauma like my baby girl suffered in the last few minutes of her life, then it is worth reliving it one more time. I’ve been a proud cat mom to many kitties over the last 30 years. Sadly, there comes a time to make the difficult decision to help our furry family member pass on. I have been in attendance while six of my beloved cats were euthanized over the years...four of these procedures happened in my home since I believed in-home passings were less stressful for everyone involved. I was right three of those four times. I found out my baby girl was in congestive heart failure in May. We tried medications but her health and zest for life continued to decline. I decided in Aug that it was time. I didn’t want her to suffer any longer. I’m new to the state and researched vets who would come to my home to euthanize my cat. This vet got great reviews and a decent recommendation from a friend who used her services for his dog. I knew what to expect and gave my cat a mild sedative (she isn’t crazy about strangers so we agreed this would help) before the appt. I should have stopped the procedure when the vet offhandedly said “sometimes they freak out” before she jabbed the sedation syringe into my cat’s back! Again, I witnessed five of these procedures in the past and none were done this terribly. Of course my poor baby “freaked out!” She jumped up and tried desperately to escape both my hands and the vet’s hands, which I still don’t understand why she was trying to help grab her when I was standing right there and this was my cat. In the middle of this mayhem, the vet jabbed my hand with the syringe she was still holding. As my cat started feeling the sedative the vet barely let me touch her. She stood there petting my cat instead of letting me sooth her in her last moments. It was then I noticed my cat was barely breathing. The vet said they sometimes die before the “cocktail” is administered. Again, never witnessed this with all my other cats. I am now left with the memory of the unnecessary trauma my sweet little cat suffered, and the guilt and memory of the event that will haunt me forever. I will never use this service again and would recommend HIGHLY that you take your pet to a reputable veterinary practice for this procedure.

Dr. Burrell was so kind and gentle with my ailing Kitty. It left me wondering why I didn't use this type of service in the past. My kitty didn't suffer at all. She fed him treats while he was falling asleep from the anesthesia and pet his …

I called to inquire when my dog Boston started showing signs of increased pain and lethargy. The day of the appointment, I had to cancel. I couldn’t let him go yet. Dr. Gayle was compassionate and told me to love him as long as I could. One month later, we were ready. She came over to our house and It was incredibly peaceful. I watched as he took his last breath comfortably. Thank you Gayle. I hope you realize how much your work meant to me and Boston that day.

Provides understanding and compassionate care when it's time for your faithful animal to cross the rainbow bridge to the forever playground. Let your pet begin the final journey from home and not some uninviting hospital environment.

Absolutely did not want to put our dog down. Wrestled with the decision for months. (too long) When we did make the call she was very empathetic. She shared in our grief and shed tears along with us. Pudge went to sleep peacefully. Without any pain. Her job has to be tough. Looking back we should have made the decision sooner but wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you

Dr. Burrell responded so quickly to my call when no one else would come to our house, and I called several. I am so thankful for her and the compassion she showed to us and our very sick German Shepherd. We are extremely grateful to her and that our sweet suffering dog doesn't have to endure another day of misery.

Gayle was able to help us on short notice and did a great job, she gave our precious dog a 1st shot of sedative to calm her down then applied the medication to end her life. It had been 15 years and she was hurting, although more expensive than a trip to the humane ,our precious pup, (who was not able to walk) avoided the stressful event of riding in a car trunk and going to some strange place as her life ended. Can't recommend Gayle enough, great job.

The doctor came over a day earlier when it was obvious our dog Abby was in severe discomfort. She was tender with Abby, explained everything and was great with my wife and I. We recommend highly.

I wanted to reach people who may be considering putting down their beloved pet. We used Dr. Gail with Gentle Pet Passings and it was the best experience possible. Dr. Gail went out of her way to speak to me about the process on several occasions and she was so nice to listen to me and give her professional advice prior to actually putting our dog to sleep. Dr. Gail is so nice and helpful and knows her stuff. Don't hesitate to use this service if you are hoping for a peaceful end at home for your pet. Thank you -Emily in Ormond Beach, FL
