I am so sorry to say that since Dr. Sukhija sold the business a year ago things have gone downhill. All the original Vets have moved on and there is only one new Vet between the two offices. Beth the office manager in the Ormond Beach office is a very nice person and I wish her well but I would not recommend this or the Port Orange office to anyone. Time to move on!!

I only gave 1 star because that was the only way to post a review. My husband and I were in Ormond for vacation from Indiana. Our chihuahua traveled with us and stopped breathing. We were frantically driving to any vet close by and pulled around back at this place. At this point my baby was dying in my arms and an employee walked out back on break or something. I came up to her with my chihuahua not moving and she could have cared less. She didn’t even bother to go in and get a doctor. She simply said there is nothing we can do here but you can go to the ER vet (which was 30 minutes away and closed). Our sweet boy died that day in my arms in the car because this place was not willing to help. You guys had a chance to help a fur baby and you failed. We are left devastated and absolutely heart broken.

Beth is kind and compassionate. She helped me save some money on prescriptions. The staff communicated with me when my Aussies were there for surgery keeping me updated with their recovery. They checked in the next day to see how the recovery at home was going. It's a small office on a small island. Not a pets mart or petco chain.

I had an appointment for my cat to get dewormed. It is now 9 days later and he has not gotten the medicine they made me order online prescibed by them.My cat is suffering. Why a Vets office would not have dewormer on hand is beyond me.They knew a week out that I was coming in specifically for that. I will not return to that office again.6 days had passed and they never okayed my order until I called and was upset. Still no medication.. I

The nurse Beth was very condescending and rude, they didn't tell me anything and made me feel like a terrible owner. For problems that I already got medication for but things take time to work.

I set my dog up with one of their Wellness Plans and in October, I noticed the charge did not come out. I called them to see what was going on and was told that someone would get back in touch with me because the person that handled the wellness plans was not in. Well, I never got a call and the charges stopped all together and I assumed my dog was no longer protected and would find a new vet if he needed care. Well in January, they started charging my card again. I call to discuss the charge and to see if my dog was still covered and again I am told that the person that handles the wellness plans was not in and would contact me by the end of the day, if not the following day. No call was made to me so I called them again a few days later at which point I was told that “they are very busy and someone would get in touch with me when she (the woman who answered the phone) spoke with whoever handles the wellness plans. So this is nearly 5 days after I called and still my concern has not even been addressed with ANYONE. Today I get a voicemail from someone stating that October, November and December’s payments were not made and they would either all be charged at once or sent to collections. And with the most condescending tone I have ever heard anyone use to a customer, stated “I’m sure you wouldn’t want that”. They can send it to collections and be aware that I will be posting this review everywhere I can. The complete lack of professionalism is appalling. I attempted to see what the issue was in October and was ignored. There has been money in the account so the issue was solely on their end. Please. Look elsewhere for vet care.

We took our previously healthy, loving dog Mickey to this vet (we had used Atlantic before) because he experienced stiffness and trouble walking for only 2 days. We were asked to leave him there so they could do x-rays. We returned 2 hours later and were told their x-ray machine had 'technical' problems so we brought Mickey home with painkillers, gabapentin and carprofen, which made him weak and did not help his pain. He could no longer stand so he could not urinate or defecate. Dr. Bainter's tech said to bring him back the next day, January 19, 2021 for x-rays (supposedly the machine was now working). Meantime, Dr. Bainter said she didn't have a long enough catheter to remove the urine and relieve Mickey's suffering. She said they would have one in the Port Orange office--and that Mickey's bladder was almost bursting with urine. She then said we could take him there but leaving him would entail boarding costs, etc. Did she think we would take our beloved dog who was crying in pain and drag him around in a car? Why didn't they send someone to get the right catheter? I'll never forgive that. Then she brought up driving Mickey to a neurologist close to Orlando. That would entail thousands of dollars, not to mention putting Mickey through more pain than he could handle. He was there alone without us and we were weighing his pain against our decision. We phoned her back and said we agreed that putting Mickey out of his pain was the only choice. So we went back and he was so happy when he saw us. But based on what they said the 2nd clear x-rays showed, we were making the right decision. We asked about cremation, were told it would cost more than $400. My husband had already called Daytona Pet Crematory in Port Orange--the only animal crematory in Florida. But when I asked Atlantic about cremation, they said it would be done in Florida. Then the tech backtracked and said the animals are shipped to Jacksonville, a drop off point, from which they are shipped out of state. For those of you who cremate your pets, these expensive cremations are not single, they are mass. You could get anything back and probably not your pet. To think of my sweet Mickey's dead body shipped to Jacksonville and God knows where made me sick. We took him with us to the wonderful man who runs the crematory in Port Orange. We could have waited and brought Mickey's ashes back the same day, but we were too upset to stay, so we returned the next day. Then for 10 days after Mickey died, we phoned Atlantic to get his x-rays and got one stupid excuse after another. At one point they said they had emailed them, but they didn't. Finally, we received the x-rays which we immediately sent to Mickey's vet back in Chicago where we previously lived. If we find that we lost Mickey unnecessarily we will never get over our decision. We were charged a medical evaluation consulting charge of $45 to have him euthanized. The total was $265.19 and they make sure to get your credit card before they administer the fatal drugs. The bill says we received a 100% courtesy discount which was really 50%. Why did we get a discount? If it is 100%, then the bill should read zero. We feel their ineptitude may be the cause of the discount. 10 days of begging for Mickey's x-rays was ridiculous. I would not recommend this place to anybody. Our days are haunted by the pain and suffering Mickey must have undergone waiting for us. It will never go away.

This clinic is never open until 6 - they close all the time due to not having staff - they continually raise prices to cover their overhead - prices have gone up 3 times in the last year - when you find the exact same product at a lesser price they will not price match it - their management is poor at best and the manager is rude - they continue to lose good staff, vets have quit due to the management- this used to be a great bet when I started going years ago but it has declined and the remodel doesn’t cover up the inadequacies - you can put perfume on a pig but it is still a pig

These guys were great! My dog had an infected gum from a previous oral surgery from someone else. They took her in quickly and got her all fixed up. A little expensive but sooo worth it!

I am traveling & my yorkie got a cyst near his eye. Atlantic Animal Hospital got him right in, fixed the issue on the spot, and gave me a reasonable bill. What a great place - the staff is kind & attentive- the veterinarian was wonderful & solved my dog’s issue quickly. I highly recommend Atlantic Animal Hospital!

Made appointment for next day visit, saw me right away when I came into the parking lot. Very responsive and helpful with my cat who has been having ear trouble. Always upfront about the cost and the concern for my pets well being is evident. Thank you Atlantic Animal hospital!

I am soo sorry for those who go here. NO, I'm not saying they are bad. What I want to say is that they are SOO expensive. Every time I went there which was often, the amounts for care were so high and I would have to save up just to go. The doctor is good the techs are good BUT, they were (sorry, so condescending to me each time, they made me feel like a bad parent. I always went out crying. I now have to pass them (I live a half mile away) to someone just as nice, inexpensive, and doesn't make me cry. They tell me what a good parent I am ????

On Sept. 29, I dropped off my cat for cremation. The cost $198.49. I paid in full and was told it would take a week for the ashes to be returned. It is October 26 and still no ashes. I call every week to ask about the ashes and I get the run around. This is so upsetting. Still waiting for the ashes. I was given a full refund but no ashes.

We were traveling from out of town and had to put one of our dog down. The staff here were very compassionate. Then a couple days later had to bring our other dog in to be checked, I cannot believe how much Dr Johnson did for our Brody. She did research for us, went in on her day off to search for a vet for us closer to home to help us regulate his sugar. She gave us information our own vet cared not to do. She called us to see how he was doing. She really cares about these animals, she truly went far and beyond.Dr Johnson is a incredible woman. Wish I could of brought her home with us.. again thank you so much for all you did Dr Johnson..

We absolutely LOVE this animal hospital! The staff is amazing, the location is perfect and easy to get in and out of, the friendliness is genuine and the doctors are experienced and kind!! My 2 dogs (Loki and Ali) are always in great hands with Atlantic Animal Hospital. This office treats us like family, they love on us and our dogs! We've been through the brand new puppy stage with Loki (a German Shepherd) and learned so much from the doctors about what to do and when. We also have a senior dog (Ali, we found as a puppy on the side of the road) who just recently had a type of cancer surgery on her foot. We bring them in 1 on 1 and we bring them in together...nothing phases this sweet office. They remain professional and courteous through and through. When we first moved here years ago, we tried other vets between Ormond & Flagler and hands down, Atlantic Animal Hospital is the best!!

I took my neighbor there. She likes the vets that are on staff there. I believe that they are way too expensive. Personally, I use Dixie Commons Veterinarian. They ate amazing! The vets truly care for the animals, and they are A lot more reasonable in their rates.

Went with a friend of mine who needed to take her dog in for a checkup. The staff were unbelievable kind and friendly. You felt welcome there. From what I saw I would recommend this hospital.
