I’ve been here twice, first time was when my old girl (senior blind 15yr old Shih Tzu) had an episode and we brought her in. The staff and doctor were amazing and so nice they even waived a fee for us, I guess we looked very shook and …

They will do their job and take care of your pet. They helped our boy when he needed it and we are thankful for them.

Jennifer is an amazing vet tech. When I brought my puppy, it was a scary and stressful situation. Her kindness, honesty and patience helped me out a lot. She made my puppy and I comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place. Thank youu!!!

My dog was in pain I couldn't figure out. I am from out of town and it was late evening so went here. Very short wait and very good care from vet and vet tech. They were upfront about what they were doing and what it would cost and bill was reasonable. As for those who complained about long wait, it is just typical of any emergency room-- depends on how many patients happen to be there.

I brought my chocolate lab Dakota here, under the direction of my vet, because he swallowed a foreign body. My vet couldn’t get him surgery till the following day. I got the surgery estimate from the VEC and decided to just have them do the surgery. They called me in the middle of the night to say they did another scan and weren’t seeing what was in the original and suggested they hold off on surgery because he may pass it. My vet ended up doing the surgery the next day because they did another scan and there it was. My dog died last Friday 3 days post op. I’m now stuck with wondering if quicker surgery may have saved his life. I’m stuck with hefty bills to pay and no dog.

Dr. Hamilton and the vet tech were amazing with both of my dogs when I brought them in a few days ago. The younger girl working the front desk could use a little training with customer service skills. I was in and out within 2 hours, with two dogs!

2 hours later still sitting in the parking lot! Watched 2 Uber delivery drives come and drop off food! Glad everyone has time to take a break with the 20 people waiting outside. Thoroughly annoyed of this place

We brought in our 6 month old puppy who had ingested something she shouldn’t. This was our first time at this clinic, and our first emergency with our pet (so extra nervous as you could imagine). The staff addressed us as soon as we walked in, and took our dog to the back immediately for treatment. Everyone was kind and patient, they updated us several times on her status. When she improved we were briefed by the vet and discharged in a timely manner. The clinic was very busy that evening, but I feel the staff appropriately triaged the incoming patients and prioritized emergencies. Thank you for taking such good care of our pup!

Blown away by my experience here on 11/11/21. My 8 year old lab got out of a very complicated surgery at her primary vet much later than expected. They recommended that she be monitored overnight and had me transport her to the Lake Underhill facility. I called to let them know I was coming and they met me at my car with a stretcher to carry her inside. The vet tech and the dr both gave me a quick rundown of the care they were going to provide overnight and what they would be watching out for. I was only there about 20 minutes. I called before bed (on an odd hour as instructed) and was given a thorough update after no wait at all. When I picked her up the next morning, my girl was in much better shape than I had left her and they had written down all of her medications and the time it was due, and the visit was cheaper than originally quoted. As a dog mom in an absolute panic through the entire ordeal, vet tech Isabelle was friendly, professional, compassionate, and explained things clearly in a way that I could understand. I had a chance to read the visit notes, and even my primary vet commented on what clearly excellent attention she gave to my dog all through the night. I can’t be more grateful for her, and the rest of the staff’s, help getting my girl on the right foot towards recovery.

It’s just disgusting how slow and unhelpful this hospital is. Sat in my car for THREE HOURS WITH MY ONE YEAR OlD And My SICK DOG. Waited i hours before asking how much longer would I have to wait to see the Vet and to be told there was only TWO people before me. It’s crazy how much time the staff had to have TWO UBEREATS driver deliver food and have a staff have the time her life with their spouse. It’s disgusting how I had to sit in my car due to the type of dog I had while other people was allowed in the waiting room with their SMALL animals and the fact I had my children with me and the staff had no consideration. I do not recommend anybody to bring their animals here in an emergency situation, better off going to the emergency animal hospital off of good homes

The staff here is unprofessional & have zero sympathy. Receptionist sound annoyed to answer your call & their attitudes aren’t any better when you get there & their tending to you. Not to mention, THEY ARE EXTREMELY OVER PRICED!!! Do yourself a favor & bring your pets to a different vet!

A few weeks ago I had brought my dog in because he was attacked and had his throat bit open. He was covered in blood, shaking and in shock plus constantly bleeding and they told me a 4 HOUR WAIT! I was in shock as he was actively bleeding as a tech barely took a look trying to say it wasn't that bad yet other people in the waiting area sat there shock at the look of him when we came in and also asked more questions of concern than the staff did. Took him to another ER with the same wait time but as soon as they saw him got him right in because he had something punctured in his neck plus gaping holes from the dog that attacked him. I was mortified at the lack of concern they had for him and reading the other reviews I’m definitely not the only one who feels this way.

Our experience was very positive and the staff at Waterford Lakes were very professional taking care of our cat Dexter. His minor procedure was a success and no followup required. We will consider them again for after hours emergency pet care.

I took my dog this Saturday, October 9 for multiple seizures, they treated me very well, but on Sunday when I came to pick her up a disaster, the doctor did not attend me, the technician had no idea about the medication (which is important because it is for stop seizures). And an antibiotic appeared in the bag of remedies, who knows what for. Saturday 5 star Sunday 1

This place does not care about your animals. They are only out for your money. Do not bring your pet there they will bill you for test they never ran.

I was here last week my dog needed surgery ASAP. Ofcourse I decided to sit down and read reviews...I was panicking. But I can say the dr saved my dogs life. They removed stones from her stomach. If I ever have a emergency I’ll come back here.

Do not bring your pet here. Absolutely horrible. Horrible staff, horrible communication, zero empathy, and somehow have the longest waits when all they are interested in is getting you out the door. Take your pets elsewhere, we rushed our cat here last night with problems breathing and I really wish we took her elsewhere. They couldn’t even place an IV right and the poor kitty has blood all over her leg.

I’ve stayed quiet the past few days because it’s been so difficult to witness and share the pain my son is feeling. Honestly, I’ve been trying to process the neglect and lack of compassion demonstrated by the VEC on Lake Underhill. My son did everything he could to save his dog. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone love their dog as much. The veterinarian that seen her was not looking out for her interest. I hope nobody ever takes their animal to this office. They are charging my son $999 after he informed him that he only had $1,000 that he could possibly spend. They sent her home to suffer to death! She was only home 15 minutes before going into shock and suffocating!! The paperwork they sent home showed that she had Sespis. They told him she was stabilizing and would be ok. In respect and care for the animal they should have offered to put her to sleep… but that wouldn’t have benefited their pockets. My heart is broken at the way they treated my son and his dog. If you have an animal, PLEASE do not take them to this place. We plan to seek another vet for their opinion on how this was handled and somehow seek justice for our dog. IF WE COULD GIVE NO STARS, WE WOULD!

HORRIBLE PLACE! DO NOT GO HERE! They only care about money and will not properly care for your pet. They almost killed my cat from neglect and charged us way more than what was necessary. This place needs to be shut down.

Our cat Yang had a medical emergency. These wonderful people helped him and saved his life in our time of crisis. Thank you again for your great care and compassion for our fur baby ???? If it weren’t for you he wouldn’t be here with us today. He’s back to being his care free and spunky self. Yang says thank you again too ???? ????????‍⬛ Kudos to you for staying strong in such a high stress job and time in people’s lives. Losing animals is extremely hard and I know sometimes it’s taken out on the people who did their best to help them. You get the sickest of the sick being an ER for animals and unfortunately they all can’t be saved like we’d like. So thanks again for sometimes a thankless job ???? I see all your hard work.

I couldn’t bring myself to write this review for a while but I would recommend to stay away from this place. We brought my lab nala in to be seen about what we suspected to be a snake bite (we didn’t see her get bit but had a very strong inkling based on her condition). If you know anything about snake bites, timeliness is critical to survival. The vet insisted it was not a snake bite and put her behind “more urgent cases.” Long story short, she tested positive for rattlesnake venom after she waited 3+ hours to be seen and passed away that night. It still hurts to think about the pain she must’ve been in as she waited and slowly died. She deserved so much better.

Do not go here. We waited over 5 hours to be seen. I asked for water for my dog and was denied. No one bothered to check on us while waiting or even ask why we were there. The receptionist version of saying hello was "yes?", this was only after she was done with her conversation of course. The receptionist staff had their masks out and were none stop snacking. The vet staff should be embarrassed of those that handle the front of house. Everything being done behind close doors is shady and suspicious. There's no way for us to verify even what care she was actually given. Had the receptionist staff been more professional perhaps I'd be less concerned. But if the vet and vet assistants are anything like what is up front this is just a big scam. Go somewhere, anywhere else.

They first told me there was no wait and then when I go there we had to wait 1.5 hours just to get into the room. Then after a quick talk the took my puppy to the back and said they were just weighing and checking temp. He didn't come back for an hour. No one said he wasn't coming back. Terrible communication. My dog is scared of vets and they made it worse. I get that they want to limit worker and customer time together for covid but then don't take my dog until you're ready. Terrible customer service. Scared my dog. Go to Oviedo if you can.

Took 5 hours to actually see the doctor to then find out my dog was in critical condition and needed immediate care. There are other emergency vets in the Orlando area...definitely look elsewhere!

You're better of praying than bringing your animal here. Stay away at all costs.

The vet tech Adriana was so kind and thorough in helping me figure out how to treat my dog with an upset stomach and a problem taking pills. The rest of the staff was also very nice and helpful.

Worse place to take your pet on an emergency, since the beginning, bad attention, my dog's examination was inexistent, they just took her outside to see if they can get her to urinate, without telling us, and without prior authorization, and almost lost her by the fault of an inexperienced assistant who let my dog run away without even having her collar, because they took it away for no reason, and they didn't even apologize for the incident that put me and my wife like crazy at 2am chasing our dog running loose in the parking lot. Just to tell us after that to go out with our pet to try to collect a sample and return, in order to wait for another hour while they process the sample, all of this after the 2 and a half hours we spent wait just to get attention, ending or journey with a toll of 4hours in the place for a diagnosis of "I think it's probably a urinate infection" and a "take this while you get her to the primary veterinary" and no sorry for let her escape, and not sorry for the long wait for an "I think" solution. Seriously if you have an emergency, drive the extra mile to take your pet to other place. You won't find the correct attention for your beloved pet in this hell of a place. BTW "I think" is not cheap. The guessing of a diagnosis cost around 200$. Looking online probably will be more accurate and less stressful and frustrating for your pet and for you. P.S; little shop of horror. You only hear dogs screaming and people crying.
