Dr. Amanda and her staff are all compassionate, sweet, understanding people. My sweet boy had excellent care. I couldn't be more thankful for them.

I can't say enough about how wonderful these people are. They were so caring and compassionate to my daughter and granddaughters when their pet was having a life ending medical emergency. Even though the decision was made to let their pet cross over, these wonderful people took the time to show love and support to not only to the pet but the pet's family. They gave them the time they needed to say goodbye, and even though their pet was not one that they normally treated at this clinic, they still made the effort to do what needed to be done.

First place I been to that every member from front desk to back area were nice and helpful. This place gave me and my pet great service. Unfortunately my pet did have to be euthanized and even that was handled well. They have a very friendly staff thats shows empathy and made me feel happy to have them there. The people they partner with for cremation services were also great.

I took my puppy (Mini Schnauzer 1.5 yrs old) to UF Emergency Vet on 11/15/21 following an attack from a neighbors Pitbull. My puppy required emergency surgery to repair a broken Jaw/Upper Pallet. Lindsey, was very compassionate, caring an sat with myself and my daughter to explain aftercare. The whole team was very caring, and professional throughout Smoke's ordeal. I cant thank Dr Romero enoughh for what was done to help my furbaby. I have reviewed other reviews on this site, and I am grateful for this facility and its staff. #SmokeIsDoingBetter!

I really appreciated the staff at this place. We stormed in the building hoping to save him, we stormed in the building and the staff quickly got him and did they’re best to save him. Very kind and supportive. They put my boy in a casket box which was appreciated instead of just handing him to me. Overall I appreciate them all very much for their love and support.

When you call they don’t tell you you’ll be waiting in the parking lot for HOURS! They did however tell me that it would be a minimum of $125 for the examination. Having tried the vets in my area to no avail, I came here directly after work. After 2.5 hours they finally called for a history on my cat… I could’ve written that on the form when we first got there! Then they want $500+ to do a basic exam and blood/urine tests. Um no. The attitudes of the workers could use some sprucing up. Not much compassion or very friendly. Would not recommend to anyone.

On the worst day of my life they made things a little more bearable. I was close to their closing time and the vet, tech and front desk staff stayed late to accommodate euthanizing my best friend. Even staying open late they did not rush me, and treated my dog with the dignity he deserved. In a time where vet staff is overworked, unfairly criticized, stretched too thin and constantly struggling to maintain their lives outside of work I cannot verbalize properly just how appreciative I am for that.

We received a package from you guys today and it was the paw prints of our beloved siamese cat ???? Sky. We didn't know you guys had done that. This means the world to us to have a piece of Sky we will cherish forever. Thank you UF for taking care of our beloved Sky. You guys put him in a nice box to carry him home and we buried him under a beautiful shade tree.

I have had to use the UF emergency pet service 2 of the worst times a pet owner can have & both times they have been compassionate & caring. I cannot praise the staff enough. The bad reviews puzzle me but perhaps its just due to cost. As a responsible loving pet owner I cannot put a price on relieving a pets suffering & am grateful this facility & caring staff are there for me when I need them. Thank you, Patti & Michael L.

This place is horrible they have no clue what they’re doing don’t spend your money there like I did go to Silver Springs Shores they immediately knew what was wrong with my little girl can’t believe I didn’t go to them sooner

The most money hungry people. They do not care about you or your pet they only want money. No payment plan options at all. Will push you to put your pet down while you are emotional. Get this $25 to creamate your pet but $175 to get your pets ashes in a box. This place is truly evil and will take full advantage that they are the only people that have 24 h service.

Money making racket. If I followed their advise my dog would be dead, instead of sleeping by my side. I give them minus 1000 stars.

I brought my cat in at midnight with a critical jaw and head injury... and the receptionist had zero emotion or urgency as I handed her a bleeding cat. She asked me to fill out forms and wait in the parking lot. When they called me back inside, the doctor spoke with me staying it would be four thousand dollars for the required life-saving surgery otherwise maybe I should euthanize my cat, either way it was $125 for just having the cat physically inspected with no x-rays or tests. I tried to explain to the doctor that I didn't have thousands with me and can you bill me, and he explained payment was required before they did anything. UF Pet Emergency is focused on money and not on animal care. I managed to borrow $138 from a family member to cover the visit fee and a pain medication injection that sedated her until the morning. In the morning I called a local vet called Live Oak, whom was able to see her immediately and perform the required life-saving surgery for a tenth of UF's estimated price. Avoid UF Pet Emergency unless you're rich and only casual about animal care. Zero star rating for this place if possible.

My fur baby was so sick, I was almost certain she was going to die. Well, they did an amazing job of bringing her back to life. Yes the want paid for their services, but don't we all! So anyone complaining about the financial part, emergencies are EXPENSIVE. I had to take my girl 3 times, and with the visits and her meds it was 600.00, honestly fairly cheap.

I put one star because I can't do less. I bring my cat for an emergency urinary issue. I paid $235 for nothing. They told me to put down my cat because he have kidney failure. Next day I went to another vet for follow up where they told me my cat really have a partial obstruction and they don't understand why UF PETS told me that because they did not a single test on my cat. few days later, with a special food and prescription my cat was healthy with no urinary issues, no pain, no need to follow up anymore and didnt pay that much.

Rushed our 10 yr cat late Sat afternoon to this ER. This was not our 1st experience here but our 1st visit with our cat, Ali. She had been experiencing possible neurological issues for the past few months. Our vet couldn’t pinpoint a diagnosis so we were scheduled to go to UF in Gainesville but nothing open until Sept. Yesterday, Ali started vomiting and falling down. When we arrived at the ER, Sebastian was checking in another animal. When he saw us run in, he handed the dog back to the owner, explaining this was an emergency, grabbed Ali from us, rushing her to the back yelling I’ve got an emergency here! Stat! We were immediately escorted into a private room & constantly kept up with her condition. Unfortunately, she was too sick and we lost a precious friend. But we appreciate the staff, Sebastian & Dr. Corlett for everything they did.

My dog has been sick not eating losing weight. Took him to UF they took him right back. Long story short found out he has a blockage in his intestines and he needs emergency surgery. They placed fluids under his skin, gave him pain meds and Sedated him until we can get to a local vet tomorrow to have surgery done. Thank you for helping my dog stay comfy during this time. Great place to go to in emergency situations. Nice to know there is ER like this in our community to assist emergency situations.

Terrible wait time and bad service. If your dog or cat is in a emergency situation go to a different vet. They will give you a two faced answer and will treat your pet like a number instead of family. My cat came home worse than when i brought her in. And the wait time was 5 hours in total. Never will come here again. If you love your dog and cat i suggest everyone reading this review do the same.

We had a very disappointing visit. After waiting 3 hours on an update on our sick dog, we found that he had received no treatment or tests at all. We still don't know why he was convulsing and we were charged $125.00 for an absolute waste of time and money.

My 8 1/2 week old kitten got trapped under a box and looked like he was in really bad shape (mewling, couldn't stand up, etc). We were discussing putting him down but they wrapped him up, put him on oxygen, and gave him fluids and when the vet went to start the IV catheter he rallied. He bushed up his tail and starting hissing and swatting. The vet gave him a few more minutes of monitoring and sent him home with pain meds. They were super gentle with him and very patient with me. I hope I never need another ER vet visit, but if I did, I would use them.

Terrible place for your fur baby. Rude people. All they care about is money!!! Go back to school and learn how communicate with people and have compassion for animals!!!!!

The lady at the desk was very polite and kind. However this place is way over priced and was hardly any help. My dog has blood in his stool and the way they are treating him makes me wish I just waited for a weekday and took him to fox creek. At fox creek they treated my dog wonderfully and you didn't have to ring a bell that doesn't work. They finally brought him out with a chock leash on! I don't know of any vet establishment that is ok with choke leashes or collars!

I had to utilize the vets/services here at UF Ocala for the first time in January 2021 for my almost 15 year old papillon. He was very sick and I thought I was going to lose him. They took him in and got right to work on him while I waited to hear any news. They kept me very informed as they did what they could to get him feeling better or atleast tell me what we needed to do. I thought prices were fair and they were so kind and caring. Then we just had to use them again in April 2021 when my almost 13 year old papillon had a seizure very unexpectedly as I was putting dinner on the table and they did everything they could to stabilize her, but something had happened and no one could have helped. They kept her comfortable until we could come in and say good bye to our sweet girl. A week later we received such a thoughtful gift in the mail. Her paw print with her name stamped on it along with a beautiful card from the staff. I have had the kit in my closet for months to do it with the both of them, but never got around to doing it. I thought it was too late, but they thought of it and I am forever greatful! It made me sad at first but then made me feel so full of love to know that they went the extra mile to remember something that I did not at the time of such sadness for our family! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! ????

Two of my precious cats I took to you for evaluation with no mobility issues and when I brought them home their back legs were useless. And both had in a matter of day's developed organ failure and were cruelty torn out of my heart. You have brought me much misery and endless tears and pain. May your days be bright and sunny because mine are raining every day.

Our pup injured his eye on a Saturday night. Sunday early morning we arrived at UF Pet Emergency. They were kind and understanding. They kept me apprised of his treatment along the way. They explained everything in a way we could understand. While we love our family vet it's nice to know there's someone 24/7 if we need them. Thank you guys ❤️ Steele and family

Long story short, I saved a kitten that had been thrown at my truck on rt 40, and hit by another car, and had her seen earlier in the day at a daytime vet, who did a wonderful job. But this review is about the stellar care and understanding, and deep connection that I felt with the staff here over the fact that it was an animal in need, which was all that mattered. They helped us make sure she was ok when she started to urinate blood and gave us do much help and advice. Hands down the best people to be in the business of helping fuzziest, cuddlies of All kinds. And thanks to them, meet Delilah Hortencia Ksepka. She was originally going to be Ranger Dangerfield, but she is a beautiful little lady. First picture is her curled up in a box immediately following the injury, and the second is tonight, as she waited for her food and love. Which she enjoys immensely. **Update to ny review. Delilah continues to thrive and living her best life. Treats and love, brushing sessions that last an hour or more, wherein she purrs so hard she drools. Every week she gets a new slew of toys and entertaining things to keep her active and crazy. And that is the best part. Thanks to this group of animal loving, compassionate, knowledgeable medical professionals, my Delilah can run and jump, climb and rabbit kick hwr toys all... day... long... she had a fractured leg bone and pelvis and was urinating blood. Inwas worried we may have lost her the same day I saved her. But now... more than a year later, the cat that owns me, shows no signs of trauma or injury. Other vets I had called mentioned putting her down, because she was a "stray" I had just "gotten" that day. Uf pet told me what had to be done, and assumed immediate action to help her. They knew she wasn't a "stray" she was an cat that needed help. She wasn't "just gotten" she was saved. They knew the difference. That understanding immediately made me feel she would be alright.

These University students are all incredibly talented. ...and usually the cost is less than your regular veterinarian. Very caring group of soon to be doctors. Obviously, there are teachers/ professors on staff, as well. Great to have them in our area! I've been there twice before for emergencies.

We had to put our 16 year cat down due to a brain tumor. The Staff was so compassionate and understanding. The Doctor who assisted us went out of her way to make this heart-aching situation less stressful. The thoughful token of Champ's paw print that we received in the mail was to heartwarming. Would recommend them anytime.
