Animal Hospital of Ft Lauderdale Oakland Park, Florida

I am very disappointed with this place . I took my puppy to see the Veterinarian on Dec 21st because I found a growth inside my dog mouth . The Vet told me not to worry unless it was growing . Since that day the lesion has grown twice the size . I took my dog back and they told me the Veterinarian will contact me, even when I called 4 times that day and again twice the following day I never heard from anybody much less the veterinarian. Today is the end of the year and I continue waiting for a call . Even As angry as I am I still wish them to have a better service to each one of the members of the animal hospital to the one they provided for me

We have two of our dogs at this location. Caring, quick in and out and they don't recommend unnecessary treatment.

If I could give this place 10 ⭐️ I would! I had an emergency situation with my 6 month old puppy (Portuguese water dog - PWDs)- I called ahead and the minute I walked in - the world stopped in that office for my baby. They rushed her in and all hands were on deck to make sure she was ok. From the front desk, vet tech to Dr. Cindy and Dr. Schneider - they were absolutely incredible! Not only did they take care of my baby but I was introduced to two PWDs - emotional therapy during a stressful time. Fortunately, my baby is healthy and happy again because of their expertise! They answered all my questions with patience and I never felt rushed. I will never go anywhere else!!!! Thank you to all who were involved!

Had to put my doggie down today . The care they showed today was unbelievable. Thank you for you compassion.

Brought my cat in today because she was sneezing,what ever was given to her has caused an allergic reaction and now she isn’t breathing. No one to speak with, Just a stupid call center who can “take a message”. Take your pet somewhere else that won’t just take your money and send you on your way. Hope this review saves the next person for the pain and suffering I’m going through right now

ZERO STARS! THIS HAPPENED YESTERDAY. HAD TO TAKE MY FUR BABY TO A PET EMERGENCY RIGHT AFTER MY CAT WAS SEEN AT THIS VET AND HAD TO SPEND MORE MONEY TO FIX THEIR MISTAKES. To elaborate, my cat was ill, and I took her for an exam. I HAD TO ask them to go over the charges before taking her away, 40-50min wait for X-rays that should take less time. I know this because she has gotten X-rays before with other vets that do it under 20min. I repeated numerous times that she is sensitive to many things and has had previous allergic reactions, the vet sent me home with meds to administer. The vet also checked her ears said she had some wax but nothing serious(later on in the evening at an emergency vet I was told it was an ear infection). The emergency vet asked if they told me or did anything to fix it, or even advised on getting it cleaned and treated. NOTHING was said to me about it and I would have asked to get it cleaned and treated if I knew. Between wanting to take her back without explaining costs first, being told we had to do an x-ray because she may have an enlarged heart(which made no sense at all), not offering to clean her ears, run bloodwork, administering wrong doses of medication, NOT GIVING ANY MEDICATION TO HELP HER FEEL BETTER ON SITE, forgetting to return my ID until I requested it back. This office seemed confused about everything. They did not think to call me as I was leaving, or while being there almost two hours to return it to me. Overall experience was HORRIBLE. I only saw the vet for 10min out of being there for almost 2 hours. I called the clinic to find out what they prescribed to her because it was giving her a reaction. I then had to take her to the emergency clinic yesterday after the visit in the morning. They called me back to ask if I had given the administered dose they recommended, I told them only half of it. thank god because it could have killed her. they said they needed to change and lower the dose due to THEIR MISTAKE. They did not want to specifically admit they messed up and incorrectly gave a higher dose than needed but just said they would change it on their end to show the correct dose amount in their system. The emergency vet told me that they should have given her meds at the office to make sure she didn't have a reaction. He could not believe they sent me home without providing anything to make her feel better ON SITE. His words and reaction to their service were an eye-opener. The emergency gave solutions offering bloodwork, medicine right there, and did things that helped me out more than I can imagine. They saved her life! I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAT BACK TO THIS HOSPITAL! REGRET GOING HERE, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE FOR THEIR SAFETY. No matter what they say in their comments it seems like the caring and innocent DONT BELIEVE THEM. They will try to blame it on anyone but themselves. I do not wish to hear any of their excuses or their defense on the situation. I have an experienced vet as proof, he was appalled by their service and thankfully fixed their mistakes. I spent over $400 here only to spend more money on an emergency hospital later that night and I shouldn't have if they did it all right to fix what this office had done. THIS PLACE IS FILLED WITH SCAMS. BE AWARE

Best vets bar none. I've owned boxers, bulldog and frenchies... along with 3 cats. Their staff is amazing, friendly,, knowledgeable and efficient.

Dr.Jones and staff here is amazing! They go out of their way to take care of our certain veterinarian needs! Definitely recommend them, especially for reproductive services.

I really like how they treat my dogs the only thing that I don't like is always have to wait too much even if I have appointment.

The best vet we have ever been to, by far. They care for all of our dogs and their reproductive knowledge is fantastic. They’re kind, professional, and treat the dogs well. I’ve had everything from routine exams to health testing through them and cannot recommend them enough. Dr Jones has been wonderful, but so have the other Doctors are well! Highly recommend, you can’t go wrong here!

I’ve been going here for 15 years even though they charge quite a bit more than other vets. I called in at 4:45 I was told they were closing in 15 min (they close at 6. Pm) and they had double booked and could not see my french bulldog and forwarded me to the emergency clinic even though they were open well over an hour.. When I really needed them they let me down.. I V will not be returning very disappointed

I love Dr Cindy (ret) to me the vet here are great, I have been going here for 30 years 3 dogs???? I can't post pictures right now but I will.

So many great experiences at AHOFL. My last dog loved going to see the vets at AHOFL. She passed there after we brought her in from a stroke. Everyone was so kind to us. One of the nurses even gave me the urn stand she had for her own dog when she heard that I never received mine. My new pup loves it there as well. She has had a lot of issues over her first year and has seen the team at least once a month on average. They love her and take such good care of her. Really great staff.

The vet, Dr Jones, left a message on my phone to tell me that my dog has lymphoma. It's a very cold way to let someone know that their beloved pet has a deadly cancer, even if chemo may or may not help him.

My dog has been going to AHOFL for almost 10 years. All of the staff are nice, considerate and very friendly. All the doctors are knowledgeable and experts in their field. Dr. Schneider was her primary doctor and had treated her from everything to regular checkups, and dentals to an ongoing stomach issues. Their hours are very convenient, especially for working pet parents. I would recommend AHOFL to anyone looking for a great vet!

Really getting sick of this place. Almost every time I call they answer with "is this an emergency or can you hold a moment". very annoying

I've used Animal Hospital of Fort Lauderdale for over 15 years, briefly used another vet but came back when my second dog became ill, they handled our case as best as possible. Very caring, humane and gave reasoned advice. Can't recommend them enough.
