Today I took our foster dog Sam to see Dr Kirsch. He spent a good deal of time watching Sam walk and run and then giving us his thorough opinion. I felt very good that Sam was in the best of hands today. I highly recommend Coastal Veterinary Surgical Specialists.

Dr. Kirsch is absolutely the best. We're going through some VERY serious issues within our greyhound, and he did a wonderful job of explaining our limited options. He was very sympathetic, just a terrific specialist vet.

We had the best experience with Dr. Kirsch and his staff. They got us in early and they made us and our dog feel welcome and important. Dr. Kirsch provided alot of options for our dog who we suspect has osteosarcoma, from an xray. He was very knowledgeable and took his time to explain everything to us and answer all of our questions. My heart dog dislocated his hip this week- I had gotten X-rays taken and got a chance to review them and speak with Dr. Kirsch about his case.. he is the best! Easy to get in touch with, cares about you and your pet(s), and takes his time with you to make you feel comfortable with the entire process! He helped me choose and understand the best option for him, had gotten me in fast to fix up my boy, and his staff is the sweetest! You are treated like family and they did such a great job with him. He seemed to like everybody! If he’s comfortable, so am I! Amazing place that I will forever trust with any orthopedic needs my babies may have in the future.

We recently found out our dog's mass on his wrist is a mast cell tumor. Our vet left us with lots of questions and a seemingly unrealistic plan of attack. We wanted a second opinion on getting clean margins from a board certified surgeon who has had experience with oncologic surgeries, so I called Coastal. The level of customer service blew me away. Barb immediately gives off a warm welcome when she answers the phone. She was patient with me and was able to answer all of my questions. It was really her level of customer service and knowledge that kept my head on straight that day. If you've had to make serveral calls to different specialist or vets you know that is hard to find. She is just amazing! If Dr. Kirsh could just clone her and put her in every vet office that would be greatly appreciated! LOL We were just as pleased with our consultation with Dr. Kirsh. He will sit down with you and answer that list of questions you brought in for him without hesitation. He took his time explaining what he could achieve and how the process would go. The consultation is well worth it. I have paid much more for much less else where. We are so thankful we went to coastal to get a realistic idea of what was achievable. We ultimately decided to try a new injection for below the elbow MCT's on dogs but if we ever need surgery in the future we would 100% go to Coastal and also recommend them to anyone looking for a surgeon. It seems like this office does a lot with the community, especially rescues, which is even more reason to support them. Thank you to the staff at Coastal!

The staff has been so helpful, understanding, kind, and efficient. And I can't say enough about the positive experience we had with Dr. Kirsch! We just had our first visit with him for our furbaby who has multiple degenerating joint issues. He gave us a lot of information about options, and what would (and very frankly) would not work for our Daisy. He listened closely to our concerns, and didn't hesitate to give advice (and his opinion and personal experience) about treatment with him or referrals to alternative practitioners. I was worried we'd feel pressured to opt for surgery but I'm pleased to report that never happened. I felt like he would have spent any amount of time that we needed; he was relaxed and in no rush to leave the room. He finished our appointment by telling us to call him ANY time should we have any questions or need anything. My husband and I left his practice fully armed with info and feeling like we had just had a WONDERFUL experience with a very knowledgeable and kindhearted orthopedic veterinarian. Took my Aussie Charlie here for a possible meniscus tear. The doctor was very informative. He explained his examination as well as the procedures which will follow his diagnosis. Charlie does have a tear. Very pleased with the whole visit. Including my interaction with the receptionists/assistant.

If I could give more stars, I would. He’s kind, explains things, answers all your questions, the office is spotless and most of all the surgery on my dog’s knee went beautifully. Hands down best surgical center

When I was told that Chunk, my little Frenchie, had a thyroid tumor I obviously feared the worst. Dr. Kirsch I’m sure sensed how scared I was and was very reassuring, honest, and gave my hope for the first time since the lump was detected. He seamlessly competed a thyroidectomy and removed the encapsulated tumor. Chunk recovered nicely and feels GREAT! We head to an oncologist Wednesday after we check back in with Dr. Kirsch, but I am hopeful that with Dr. Kirsch’s surgery Chunk has a long healthy road ahead of him. THANK YOU DR KIRSCH! You and your team are absolutely wonderful!!!

Great experience. Dr. Kirsch is a wonderful person. Spoke with him briefly before surgery. He is very compassionate. Was able to tell he really cares about his patients. The staff present the same qualities.

This was an amazing experience, I rescued a cat that was hit by a car and both of his back legs were broken. One leg was so badly broken that the first Dr. that saw him said to me that leg has to be amputated. Feline Friends of SWF. Took over the case with Blondy, and came to this Surgeons Center, and the Doctors here were able to fix the 2 legs. The next day of the surgery Blondy got up from his bed, and started walking for the first time.. in a long time.. I said to my self “ OMG what an Amazing Dr..”!!!The NEXT day he was walking... Our dog Molly needed acl surgery. She could not run at all. Now she is a rabbit chasing machine. She is so happy she has full use of her leg again.

They staff was wonderful in providing the best care for my cat Beau. They were kind understanding and flexible. And as of today my cat's treatment is over. Dr. Kirsch removed a cancerous mass from my Jeter two weeks ago. Couldn't be more satisfied from his caring and informative style not to mention his passion and attention to detail. Staff were very professional and accommodating. Look no further than Dr. Kirsch. See for yourself

Dr. Kirsch performed cranial cruciate ligament surgery on my Lab who had been limping for years in Dec 2019. After a period of rehabilitation she does not limp at all. A miracle! Very nice staff and facility. Highly recommend. Thank You Coastal!
